KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Namine nodded slightly, staying in that position. "Okay," she said quietly, her soft blue eyes flickering back up to Roxas.

 

Roxas smiled slightly before walking toward the doorway, exitting the room to grab some food.

 

Namine exhaled softly, her eyes shutting partway again. Roxas had said that he was getting snack food...so did she really have to sit up? She felt as if she wanted to try, just to see how it felt, but at the same time, she was was afraid the pain would only grow more intense. And if the pain was too overwhelming, it may be harder for me to keep down any food... Namine pondered the thought, deciding to stay in that position for now.

 

Roxas entered the kitchen and approached the fridge. Considering he wasn't the best cook in the world, he decided to stick to something simple and easy; peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. They weren't that filling, so hopefully Namine would be able to keep it down.

 

Namine bit her lip lightly, her eyes shutting again as she tried to calm her nerves. It had already happened once, and she had a bad feeling that it would happen again.

Roxas grabbed the jelly and peanut butter from the fridge, shutting the door as he went to get the bread. He bit his lip as he grabbed the bread from the pantry and went toward the counter where he put the peanut butter and jelly. He then grabbed two paper plates and started to make the sandwiches.

...But still, Namine didn't want to think like that. Despite the feeling she had in her gut, she would try to put that behind her and just keep the food down. She didn't have much of a choice, since, after all, people do have to eat to have energy and strength. She didn't want to stay on this couch forever, even if Roxas was with her. The concern in his eyes was so obvious, but so was the comfort. She greatly appreciated him being by her side through it all, but she didn't want to be in the position to recieve sympathy anymore. She wanted to live and have fun, forgetting all about the events of the past few hours and day.

 

After making one sandwich, Roxas set it on one of the paper plates and then started making the other. He sighed softly, hoping that Namine would be all right. It was unhealthy not to eat anything, but she was trying, and that was what mattered. But if she couldn't keep this down, something was wrong, and it would be dangerous for her health. He'd take her to the doctor if she got sick again, or something worse happened. Roxas cared too much for her to let her suffer.

 

Namine kept her eyes closed as she inhaled softly, staying still on the couch. She didn't want to move, since that would most likely cause more pain. And more pain wouldn't help with keeping her food down at all, so staying in the lying position was the smartest choice.

 

Roxas finished with the second sandwich and started cleaning up, putting the bread away, along with the peanut butter and jelly. He exhaled softly before grabbing the two plates with the sandwiches and heading out of the room.

 

Namine gently moved the hand that was in front of her face, lifting it slightly to brush her bangs away from her closed eyes.

 

Roxas kept his gaze on the floor as he entered the living room, the sound from the TV filling his ears. He looked up as he approached the couch, seeing Namine still lying down with closed eyes. Well, hopefully eating a little would help her feel better.

 

Namine let her hand fall back to the previous position, a soft sigh leaving her lips. She felt very weak, and that was probably because of the lack of food in her system. Hopefully she could fix that problem, but if she couldn't...she didn't know what she would do.

 

"Namine," Roxas said softly, kneeling down in front of her with the plates in his hands. He hoped this worked; he knew how much both of them hated the hospital...

 

Namine's sky-blue eyes slowly opened at the sound of the voice, her orbs finding Roxas' in front of her. Her gaze shifted down slightly and she saw that he had two sandwiches--peanut butter and jelly. "Thanks," she said softly, gently reaching forward and taking hold of the paper plate.

 

"Sure," Roxas said with a small nod. Once she had a hold of her plate, he kept his in his hand as he turned around, sitting down in front of the couch again like before.

 

Namine brought the plate closer to her, lightly setting it on an open spot on the couch. She hesitantly put a hand on the sandwhich, nervous about eating.

 

Roxas's knees bent slightly as he sat down in front of the couch, his plate on his lap. He looked down at the plate and grabbed his sandwich, looking back up at the TV as he took a bite out of it.

 

Namine took in a deep breath, grabbing onto the sandwich and bringing it to her lips. She took her first bite, and the food tasted good in her mouth.

 

Roxas chewed and then swallowed before taking another bite out of his sandwich. His eyes stayed on the TV as some comedy played on the screen, though he wasn't taking much interest in it.
