KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Roxas' smile stayed on his face as he looked at the city in front of him, horns beeping and cars driving by while people roamed the streets of New York. It was nice to be out here, but at the same time he wished Sora could be here too.

 

Namine blinked, feeling tears of sadness and relief flood to her eyes. She shut her eyes and let her head fall, her closed eyes facing the sidewalk.

 

Roxas knew Sora would be out soon. It's just a feeling he had, and Sora seemed better today than he did any other day before. So hopefully that was a sign that he'd be joining them too. And not only them, but Kairi too, when she was feeling better. Roxas sighed softly and took in the warmth of the sun as his eyes flitted up to the skyscrapers above him.

 

Namine shivered when a gust of cold air hit her body, taking away some of the warmth and comfort that the sun had given her.

 

Roxas felt the wind blow his spikes, and he caught the few spikes in front of his face moving with the wind. The warmth left and he bit his lip. Well, the cold wasn't completely gone yet.

 

Namine wrapped her arms around her waist, the plastic bag hanging off her wrist as she tried to warm herself. She opened her eyes again and looked toward the city.

 

Roxas turned his head to Namine. "We should probably get going," he said. Standing out in the chilly air wasn't good for anybody, as much as the fresh air brought him comfort.

 

Namine turned her eyes toward Roxas and silently nod. Of course they would take a cab, but Namine wondered if they should check in to see how Kairi was doing before heading to Roxas' house.

 

Roxas gave her a weak smile as the warmth came back to his body from the sun and lack of wind.

 

Namine smiled back softly, thinking. Was Kairi asleep? Would now be a bad time to visit?

 

Kairi wiped her mouth after flushing the toilet, tears running down her eyes. She hated being sick, she hated vomiting. It was digusting to her, and she didn't want to do it anymore, but considering she had the flu, she was sure that she'd be getting sick after her second time. She leaned against the bathroom wall, crying in both pain and sadness.

Roxas flitted his eyes to the cars, looking for a cab.

 

Namine flitted her eyes to Roxas, making her decision. Roxas probably just wanted to get home, and that was definitly understandable, since he hadn't been there in almost a week. Besides, a part of her wanted to make sure that he was safe at home, before anything bad happened. She had a feeling that things couldn't stay safe like this forever, but that was probably just a feeling that she had because of her sorrow lately. She made a quiet sound of disgust and started walking closer to the side of the road, looking for a taxi.

 

Roxas exhaled just as another gust of wind blew, causing him to shiver even while he had his coat on.

Kairi sniffled and tried to calm herself down, knowing that she'd only make herself worse by crying. She exhaled softly and closed her eyes as she leaned her head against the wall, her arms crossed and knees at her chest as she sat there, waiting for her illness to end.

 

Namine saw a cab approach and opened the door before turning around and looking at Roxas.

 

Roxas looked at her and then looked at his feet as he started forward toward the cab. He leaned on his left leg and got in the cab without much trouble, holding his crutches in his hands as he slid in.

 

Namine bit her lip and silently watched as Roxas got into the cab.

 

Roxas slowly moved over so Namine could get in, careful not to hit his leg on anything.

 

Once Roxas was in, Namine slid into the seat beside him and shut the door just as another gust of wind hit her, making her shiver for a moment.

 

Roxas glanced at Namine and then turned his attention to the driver, telling him his address. The cab started down the busy streets of New York City as Roxas sighed softly, relaxing into the seat.

 

Namine leaned back in the seat and shut her eyes halfway as she looked down at her hands, which were resting in her lap.
