KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Namine kept her eyes closed, the discomfort growing in her stomach despite the fact that she hadn't moved. Again, it was hard to imagine that the pain could grow more intense, and yet it continued to grow, making the air in the room a little bit heavier. At least for her, anyway. She hoped that Roxas didn't sense the more tense aura in the room. He didn't deserve any of the things that had been put on him, and she didn't want to add to the pressure.

 

Roxas inhaled softly and then exhaled through his nose, continuing to stroke the girl's hand. He didn't know how long things would be this way, Namine having to deal with these things. Despite all of it, though, Roxas was grateful for the time they had together.

 

Namine opened her mouth partway, softly taking in a breath. The pain wasn't going away, and it made her nervous. What was wrong that suddenly caused things to grow worse? Was it nerves, or something else? Perhaps hunger? She didn't have anything in her system. Plus, that would also explain the weak feeling she had.

 

Roxas turned his attention to the television, the screen flashing to different scenes. A commercial was on, advertising dinner at a restaurant. He brought his free hand to his stomach without thought, his stomach somewhat empty after not eating for a while. The food on the TV looked appetizing, and he suddenly wondered what he had in the kitchen to snack on.

 

Namine's eyes slowly opened at the sound of an advertisment on TV, making a special deal about some food at a restaurant she had never heard of. The thought of food made her feel a little hungry, though she was afraid that she wouldn't be able do keep it down. Still, she had to have something in her system....right?

 

"Hm..." Roxas hummed, lowering his gaze to his lap as he thought about what food he had. He wasn't the best cook in the world, so that slimmed the choices down. True, he was hungry, but he wasn't starving or in need of a big meal.

 

Namine flitted her eyes to Roxas at the sound of a hum, guessing that his thoughts were on food as well. Personally, she didn't want much to eat. She just wanted what was necessary to keep her going. And keeping down the food this time would definitly be a bonus. If she wasn't able to keep anything down....well, that would be bad.

 

Roxas's thumb slowly stopped stroking Namine's hand as he turned slightly to look at her. His eyes met her light blue and he smiled slightly. "Would you...happen to be hungry?" he asked softly. After what happened earlier, he wondered if she was as hungry as he was, which really wasn't that much.

 

Namine kept her soft blue eyes on Roxas, the voice that left her sounding very soft. "A little," she responded honestly, keeping her thoughts inside.

 

Roxas nodded slightly. "All right. You wanna get something to eat, then?" he asked, but then he realized something. "...Or does it still..." He bit his lip slightly, not finishing, hating to bring up the subject about her stomach again. He knew how much it probably bothered her...literally. And thinking about it didn't help much.

 

Namine shook her head slightly, trying to keep the atmosphere light despite the serious topic. She knew that Roxas felt awkward asking about it; it showed in his voice. But he was concerned for her, so the question had to come out sometime. "It still hurts," she said softly, keeping some of the sadness out of her voice. "I don't know if I can move to get food...or keep that food down." There, it was out in the open, whether she liked it or not.

 

Roxas continued to bite his lip at her words, nodding a little in understanding as he shifted his gaze in thought. He knew she didn't want to go through that experience again with not being able to keep the food down...but it was unhealthy to go without food. She had to at least have something in her system...but he would feel bad forcing her to eat something when she couldn't really. However, Roxas knew that there was a chance that she could keep the food down. It was a 50/50 chance, and she had to be willing to take it.

 

Namine exhaled softly through her nose, her eyes falling slightly in thought. She really hated having this problem with her stomach, and she just really hoped it wasn't serious. The injury had just happened earlier that day, true, but she was hoping that it would have died down by now, not grown worse.

 

Roxas lifted his gaze back to Namine as he began to speak. "You know I'd never want to force you to do anything you didn't want to do," he started, "but are you willing to at least try to eat something?" He bit his lip again once he finished, waiting for her answer as he still held her hand.

 

Namine flitted her eyes back up to Roxas, a faint, reassuring smile appearing on her lips. She knew that he felt guilty pressing the issue, but he really didn't need to, since it was a matter they needed to adress. "I'll try to eat something," she said softly, keeping her gentle blue eyes locked with his.

 

Roxas nodded once with a small smile. "Okay." He gently slipped his hand out of Namine's as he started to stand up from his position on the floor.

 

Namine moved her hand a little closer to her when Roxas released it, her right hand resting a little in front of her head on the pillow she was using. She was more nervous about eating than she was putting on, but she tried her best to keep those feelings inside. There was no need to worry Roxas more than necessary.

 

As Roxas stood upright, he wondered if he would need to carry her again. She said that she didn't know if she could move, and he really didn't mind. Roxas would do whatever he needed to have her feeling her best.

 

Namine exhaled softly through her nose, her eyes moving down slightly as she started thinking again. Sitting up would probably be a good idea for eating, but she didn't even think she would be able to do that. It just hurt so bad already...and moving could make it worse.

 

Roxas inhaled softly as he looked down at Namine's form. "I'll go grab some snacks, okay?" He looked down at her with his bright blue eyes.
