KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Namine exhaled softly, exiting the bedroom and heading toward the bathroom to get cleaned up.

Roxas followed Namine out, turning outside the door and heading toward the stairs.

After finishing her shower and carefully getting dressed, Namine felt like a new person. The steaming hot water had really helped to relax her tense muscles, and she actually felt as if she might collapse. It could have been from exhaustion, stress, or relaxation, but then she realized that it was probably from hunger. She hadn't eaten for a while. Namine exhaled softly, looking at herself in the partly-fogged mirror. Her blonde hair, though darker from still being wet from her shower, stood out against the blank tanktop she wore. Roxas' sweatpants were comfortable, surprisingly not too big on her. Roxas...he was probably waiting for her. Namine walked over to the towel rack and hung up the towel she had used before opening the bathroom door, arms wrapped around her waist as she started toward the stairs.

 

While Namine had taken her shower, Roxas went downstairs to the kitchen to start on the food. He grabbed a pepperoni pizza out of the fridge and had put it in the oven once the oven was preheated. He leaned against the counter now, his arms across his chest and head lowered down as his eyes stayed closed, waiting patiently for the pizza to get done cooking.

 

Once Namine reached the stairs, she released the hold on her stomach slightly, moving one hand to the railing. She slowly walked down the stairs, taking it one step at a time. There had been enough accidents in the past 24 hours, and she was being cautious so no more happened.

 

Roxas took in a soft breath before releasing it, thinking back to Namine. He cared for her so much, and he wanted her to be free of pain. He would rid of her of any pain--whether emotional or physical--in the world if he could, and he sure would try. But he was concerned for her and her stomach injury, and was wondering if they should get it checked out. But he knew that she hated the hospital, because he hated it too.

 

Namine walked down the last few steps, and then started down the hall, heading toward the kitchen. She could already smell the pizza, and she wondered if it was done yet. Surprisingly, she didn't have much an apetite. The pain in her stomach probably was probably the cause of that. Still, she knew that she had to get something inside her stomach. It was likely that she was hungrier than she felt, anyway.

 

The scent of the pizza entered Roxas' nose, knowing that it was getting close to being done. He'd cooked pizza so many times (mainly because his parents were always gone and he never had an actual "dinner") that he practically knew exactly how long it took to make. He would give it a few more minutes before he took it out. Roxas kept his arms crossed and head lowered, his eyes still closed as he took in a deep breath through his nose, the smell of the pepperoni pizza entering him again.

 

Namine inhaled, casually keeping her arms wrapped around her waist as she turned into the kitchen. She took a few steps in, immediatly noticing the blonde boy standing against the counter. A soft smile appeared on her lips, loving to see him appear so relaxed. Well, more relaxed than earlier, at least. That was the impression she got.

 

But...maybe taking Namine to get checked up wouldn't be that bad of an idea. Well, if her pain didn't go away in the next day or two, or only continued to get worse, she would definitely have to have a professional look at it. And if there is something wrong, I'll hunt down the jerk of a football player that kicked her and teach him a lesson that he will never forget. I'll make him-- Roxas exhaled his breath slowly through his nose, needing to calm himself down. Violence was never the answer, and he had heard that a million times before. But under some circumstances, like Jeff and Smith, it was the only answer.

 

Namine inhaled softly, her soft gaze staying on Roxas. And then, she suddenly felt a different aura in the room. This one was more tense, and it held some frustration. "Roxas?" Namine called out softly, taking a few steps closer so she stopped a few feet in front of the blonde teen.

 

Roxas' furrowed eyebrows shot up as he lifted his head and opened his eyes at the sound of his name, his blue orbs falling on a familiar light blue. Her blonde hair was wet from her shower as it hung from her head and against her bare shoulders in her black tank top. Roxas noticed that she was wearing his sweats, which fit her quite well. He suddenly wondered how long she had been standing there, seeing him against the counter.

 

Namine smiled faintly, noticing Roxas' surprised expression. He probably hadn't heard her come in, since she was pretty quiet.

 

Roxas' lips formed a smile at the sight of hers. "Hey. How're you feeling?" he asked, trying to dismiss his negative thoughts.

 

"Better," Namine answered, keeping her soft blue eyes locked with Roxas'. That much was true; the shower really helped her become more relaxed, though it didn't help too much with the stomach pain. But that was probably just from standing and moving for a little. Moving around with pain like that probably wasn't a smart idea, but it had to be done for her to get clean. In fact, it actually felt worse now than it had earlier.

 

"That's good to hear," Roxas said. He took in a breath through his nose, smelling the pizza again. He turned his head to look at the oven and then straightened up, his hands falling to his sides. "Hope you're hungry," he said with a smile as he glanced at her before turning his attention to the oven. Grabbing the mit next to the oven, he slipped it on and opened the oven.

 

Namine silently smiled at the statement, her eyes following Roxas' movements. She really didn't feel hungry, but that didn't matter. The food would give her strength and energy, which she definitly needed. She didn't want to collapse in front of Roxas; that would be bad.

 

Roxas reached into the oven and pulled out the pan of pizza, feeling the heat from inside the oven flow to his face, causing him to squint slightly as he pulled out the pizza. He set it on the top of the stove and shut the oven before slipping off the oven mit.

 

"Do you mind if I grab myself a bottle of water?" Namine asked politely, suddenly feeling a little thirsty.

 

"Nope. Go ahead," Roxas said, glancing over his shoulder at her before he moved over slightly, reaching into a cupboard to grab two plates.
