KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Namine shook her head a little bit, trying to chase away the nasty thoughts. No, she definitly didn't want to think about any of that again. What if the memories overtook her like they did before...?

 

Roxas opened his blue eyes immediately when he saw Smith's smirk behind the closed eyelids. No, he couldn't let himself be affected by this! He had to take care of Namine first; she needed him, and he would be there for her. Always.

 

Namine let her eyelids fall, her light blue eyes disapearing from sight. Her eyes felt very dry now, and that was probably because she had been staring off into space for so long. And she had seen...no! She couldn't think about that. Being strong was the only option she had; she didn't want to let Roxas down. He promised they would get through it together, and she believed him. But in order to do that, she would have to try to push back the emotions the best she could.

 

Roxas bit his lip for a second before letting out a breath, starting to stand up as he kept Namine's hand in his. Sitting here reflecting on everything wasn't going to do either of them any good. "I guess I should let you get more comfortable," he said softly, breaking the heavy silence.

 

Namine's eyes flitted open at the sound of the voice, her light blue orbs wandering up to Roxas'. She was momentarilly confused at his words, but then she understood them, remembering that she was still in her dirty jeans and sweater. "Right," she said softly, her eyes wandering down to her jeans for a moment before she gazed back up at Roxas. "Do you mind if I take a shower?" she asked politly, her long blonde hair feeling greasy.

 

Roxas shook his head with a small smile. "Of course not," he replied softly.

 

Namine felt a small smile appear on her lips, reflecting Roxas'. She could still hear the gentleness and care in his voice, and it helped her feel a little more relaxed. The fact that he was still holding her hand definitly helped as well.

 

Roxas gazed into Namine's light blue eyes, noticing a different expression in them; a more relaxed look, more at ease. He squeezed her hand lightly. "C'mon," he said, motioning with his head toward the door. "I'm sure you want to get out of those clothes and get cleaned up."

 

Namine's smile stayed on her lips as she gazed into Roxas' eyes. "Definitly," she told him, her voice a little less tense than it had been a few minutes ago. As long as she had him, she would be alright. Namine put her free hand down on the bed beside her and moved her legs off the side of the bed, starting to stand herself up. Pain suddenly came from her stomach area, reminding her of the kick she had recieved earlier. She sucked in a breath, forcing herself up despite the pain.

 

Roxas watched her with his piercing blue eyes, observing her movements. He looked down at her stomach, starting to wonder if there might be a bruise from the injury she had unfortunately received. But then he flickered his eyes back up to her face as she stood upright.

 

Once she was fully upright, Namine moved her free hand up and wrapped it around her stomach to try and make the pain subside. She then lifted her eyes away from the floor and back up to Roxas, seeing the concern in his eyes. He could never be easily fooled.

 

Roxas' grasp around her hand tightened a little when her eyes met his. He was worried about her, of course. When you loved someone, and they were hurt, the only thing you could be was concerned. But along with that concern came support, which he would gladly provide.

 

Namine smiled weakly when she felt Roxas tighten his hold on her hand, knowing that he was concerned. True, it had been a nasty kick, but she knew that things could have been worse. She gently squeezed his hand in response, her eyes staying on his.

 

Roxas smiled faintly, keeping his eyes locked with Namine's. Speaking of her stomach, she was probably starving, considering that none of them--Roxas, Namine, Kairi, or Sora--ate at all yesterday. True, he had eaten a sandwich, but that was only a snack. He was still quite hungry, and figured Namine probably was as well.

 

Namine blinked softly, keeping her soft blue eyes locked with Roxas'. She had stood up on her own, but now she wondered if she could walk very far. To get a shower, she would need to, and she really needed to get clean. So she would just have to suck it up and get used to it. The pain probably wasn't going to go away for a few days.

 

Roxas turned his head and reached down with his free hand to grab his sweats for her. "Tell you what," he said as he grabbed the pants and turned his head back to her, "while you're in the shower, I'll put some pizza in the oven. Okay?" Roxas' eyes met hers, a small smile on his face as he tried to lighten the atmosphere.

 

Namine felt her smile grow slightly at his words, not specifically at the mention of food (though she knew that she was starting to feel hungry), but at the tone of his voice, which sounded lighter than it had been earlier. "Sounds good to me," Namine said in agreement, her eyes staying connected with Roxas'.

OOC: Be right back...dinner time.

 

Roxas nodded once slightly with his same smile. "Great." He held up the pants for her to take. "Whenever you're ready," he said, referring to her getting in the shower. He was sure she wasn't feeling the best, especially after all the action in the last 24 hours.

OOC: Okey dokey.

 

Namine smiled softly at Roxas, gently sliding her hand out of his and lightly taking the pants. A shower was sounding nicer and nicer by the minute. She waited a second longer, smiling softly at Roxas before forcing herself to start walking, going past him while still gripping her waist tightly.

 

Roxas returned her smile and watched her for a second before following her.
