KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Namine shrugged slightly, keeping her arms wrapped around her waist. "I don't need a shirt if you don't have anymore; I can just wear my tanktop. I'm sure it's not too dirty, since my sweater has been overtop of it," she explained, not minding if Roxas had to take the shirt for himself.

 

Roxas pursed his lips as he dug through his closet, pushing hangers to the side...empty hangers. He put a hand on his hip and lowered his head, scratching his head as he sighed in frustration; not at Namine, but at the fact that today all of his shirts just happened to go missing. He just couldn't figure it out.

 

Namine smiled faintly, not because she was amused at his frustration, but because she wanted to support him. "It's alright," she told him honestly, keeping her eyes on him.

 

Roxas turned his head. "You're sure?" he asked, not wanting to take the shirt if she really wanted it.

 

Namine kept a kind smile on her lips, returning Roxas' gaze. "Of course," she answered, completely honest.

 

Roxas let out a breath and nodded, a faint smile appearing on his face at hers. He turned and started toward the bed. "You know, I just can't figure it out... I know I had some up here," he thought aloud. Roxas approached the end of the bed and reached down, grabbing the plain blue shirt on top of the sweats he laid out for Namine.

 

Namine smiled at Roxas, his words entering his ears. "Knowing you, you probably just misplaced them," she joked, remembering how much of a slob Roxas used to be. She had seen his room in Twilight Town, and there always seemed to be stuff lying on the floor. Roxas never was the neatest person.

 

Roxas chuckled a little. "Probably," he agreed with a smile as he looked down at the shirt. He put his arms through the sleeves before bringing the shirt over his head.

 

Namine smiled softly and watched in silence as Roxas put on his shirt, fully awake from her nap now.

 

Roxas pulled his head through and used his hands to pull down the bottom of the shirt so his chest was no longer showing. He looked down at Namine when he was done, flashing a grin her way.

 

Namine's smile grew at the sight of his, loving to see his grin.

 

Roxas' smile softened as he sat down on the side of the bed, his head turned toward her. "Get enough rest?" he asked. He remembered how exhausted she had been a few hours ago, and she was out like a light on the way home. Her stomach pain also concerned him, recalling how she couldn't stand because of it.

 

Namine met his gaze, not moving from her spot as she softly responded. "Yeah," she said simply, a faint smile staying on her lips.

 

Roxas nodded in satisfaction. "Good to hear," he said with a smile. He was glad to know that his bed had been comfortable enough for her.

 

Namine felt her smile grow slightly at the appearance of Roxas', her eyes staying locked with his. She kept her left arm wrapped around her stomach, keeping that arm there to help keep the pain at bay. Her right arm moved forward a little, her hand resting in her lap.

 

Roxas flitted his eyes down at the movement of her hands before flitting his eyes back up to hers. He noticed that she was holding her stomach, which sparked more concern inside. "Does it still hurt?" he asked, referring to Namine's stomach as he glanced at it before looking back into her eyes.

 

Namine sadly gazed into Roxas' eyes, seeing the concern shining brightly in his peircing blue orbs. "Yes," she answered softly, forcing herself to keep her eyes locked with Roxas'. She figured that he should know how she felt, but at the same time, she didn't want him to worry. And she knew that tearing away from his gaze would cause him more confusion and worry, and that wasn't what she wanted for him at all.

 

Roxas bit his lip at the answer, his eyes locked with hers. "...Is it worse than before?" Roxas really hoped it wasn't, because he definitely didn't want to see Namine in pain.

 

Namine shook her head slightly, blinking softly as she gazed at Roxas. "No, it's a little better now," she answered quietly, still noticing the great concern in the depths of his ocean-blue orbs.

 

Roxas nodded a little. That was better than nothing at all, though he wished she was completely free of pain. He couldn't help but wish that things had turned out differently, though, especially for Namine's sake.
