KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Namine watched Roxas lower her to the ground, her sleepy eyes halfway shut. She was slightly aware that her feet had touched the ground, and she lightly kept her arm around Roxas' shoulders, some of the pain returning when she started to stand herself more upright. It hurt, but it wasn't as bad as it had been.

 

Roxas straightened, keeping his other arm still around her back. He looked at her for a second, his eyes gazing at her. He glanced down at his free hand reaching into his pocket after a moment, feeling around for his house key. He felt it in his pocket, and grabbed it, pulling it out and putting it into the keyhole in the door as he kept his arm still around Namine's back.

 

Namine exhaled softly, mostly upright despite the pain in her stomach. She was relieved that she could still lean into Roxas, both for the comfort and physical support she needed.

 

Roxas turned the key, hearing a 'click' when it was unlocked. He pulled the key out of the hole and put it back in his pocket before he opened the door, the sunlit rooms coming into view. Roxas slipped the key back into his pocket, turning his gaze to Namine beside him.

 

Namine sleepily shut her eyes, lightly resting her head against Roxas' shoulder. A faint smile was on her lips, despite the pain that she felt in her stomach. The comfort that Roxas brought her was much greater than the pain.

 

Roxas felt a small smile come across his lips as he gazed at her. He wrapped his arm tighter around her as he bent down slightly, putting his other arm under her legs to pick her up again.

 

Namine exhaled softly in comfort, feeling Roxas gently lift her off the floor and hold her in his arms again. It was strange, thinking about how comfortable she was after everything that had happened. But she was so comfortable because all that had happened. Trials made you stronger, and brought you closer to your friends and loved ones...if you let life teach you lessons like that.

 

Roxas held Namine close to him as he stepped through the door carefully. Once he was inside, Roxas used his foot to shut the door before starting forward. Namine was exhausted, and he knew that his bed was the most comfortable place in the house.

 

Namine lightly kept her head against Roxas' shoulders, already starting to fall back asleep. She was feeling the effects of the stress of today and yesterday, and now she finally felt at peace. She wasn't sure where the peace came from until it appeared to her clearly, even in her hazzy state: Roxas. He was her source of peace.

 

Roxas looked up as he started up the staircase, going slowly so he didn't accidentally fall, especially with Namine in his arms.

 

Namine was slightly aware that she was being carried up the stairs, but that was the only thing she realized in her half awake state.

 

Roxas climbed a few more stairs before he reached the top, turning to head toward his bedroom. His eyes flitted down to the girl in his arms, a smile coming across his face at her peaceful expression. He was glad she was getting rest, and comfortable enough in his arms to actually sleep. Roxas looked up, seeing his room a few feet away.

 

Namine exhaled softly through her nose, turning her head slightly as she snuggled it closer to Roxas' shoulder.

 

Roxas tightened his hold slightly at her movement, turning into his bedroom. He stepped in sideways, careful not to hit Namine's head against the doorframe. Roxas glanced down at her for a minute before looking up, approaching his bed. He would rather have her use some of his clothes so she would be more comfortable as she slept, but she was already unconcious, so he would try to make her as comfortable as he could.

 

Namine kept one arm around Roxas' shoulders as he held her, the other lightly over her stomach.

 

Roxas stopped next to his bed, bending down slowly with Namine in his arms. He gently lowered her form to the bed, loosening his hold on her once she was on the bed.

 

Namine inhaled softly in her sleep, her head turning slightly on the pillow to face in Roxas' direction.

 

Roxas let his arms slip out from under Namine's form gently. He then lifted his hand and gently wrapped his hand around her arm still around his neck, carefully lowering it next to her side.

 

Namine's breathing was even as she slept, completely oblivious to Roxas' gentle movement.

Roxas smiled faintly as he looked down at Namine, his eyes running over her features. He lifted his hand and lightly ran his fingertips over her forehead, swiftly brushing the hair out of her closed eyes. He lifted his hand and lowered his head, kissing her forehead.
