KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

"Don't talk about him like that," Namine said defensivly, her eybrows furrowing in anger as she spoke to the blond quarterback. How dare he talk about him that way. He had no idea what he was talking about, because she was the one who had asked Roxas to leave her be for a while. What gave him the right to speak to her like that?

"Oh, come on!" Jeff said, keeping his arm around Namine. "You and I both know that it's true. He doesn't care about you the way he should, since you're obviously worth so much."

What...? What was he getting at? Namine made a sound of disgust, pushing herself off the bench and standing in front of it. She turned around to face the boy again, feeling angered by the words. "No, you're wrong. He loves me, and I love him." She took in a deep breath before continuing, meaning every word she said. "And you know what? I'm here alone because I asked him to let me be. He loves me enough to let me have my freedom. He loves me with every part of him, and I know that lasts forever. He'd never give up on me, and I'd never give up on him."

 

Roxas flitted his eyes back over to the bench, watching the scene unfold. He heard every word she said, believing her with all his heart. He kept his blue eyes on her, watching her defend herself against this cocky jerk.

 

"Whoa, whoa, take it easy." Jeff put up his hands slightly in surrender as he rose to his feet, standing right in front of Namine. He reached out and took hold of her by the wrist, holding on right over the bruising. "Why don't you just come back to my house and I can soften that fiery temper of yours. How's that sound...?"

Namine furrowed her brows in anger, the strong blond quarterback holding her left wrist lightly in his grasp. Ignoring the pain that it brought, she took tried to pull away, only to fail. She brought up her right hand and slapped him hard on the side of the face, a loud smacking sound reverberating from the impact.

 

Roxas suddenly rose to his feet, his fists clenched slightly. His eyes stayed locked on Namine and Jeff, his eyebrows furrowed. This guy was pushing it.

 

"You're a pig," Namine spat, her right hand moving back to her side as she broke free of Jeff's grasp. She ripped her left hand free, staring into his surprised eyes in anger before walking past him, leaving him alone in his silence. Well, that's enough fresh air for one day, Namine thought to herself, still feeling anger from the lies that he had spoke to her.

"Oh, you're going to regret that!" Jeff called after her, putting a hand to the spot she had slapped. He stood still and watched the girl leave, still stunned that he had been slapped. Nobody got away with that, especially not some small, puny girl like Namine.

 

Roxas' eyes followed Namine's form as she started away, but then they flitted back to Jeff at his words. His eyebrows furrowed slightly as he stared at the guy, not liking the way he threatened Namine like that.

 

"Heh," Jeff pulled his hand away from his face, reaching into his pocket and pulling out a cell phone. He immediatly called his three closest friends, who were at a house right outside the park. "I want you to cut off a cute little blond girl for me; I have unfinished buisiness with her." He abruptly hung up the phone, walking in the direction that Namine had gone. She was fiesty, and he wanted that in a girl. And he always got what he wanted.

Namine tucked some hair behind her ear, turning her head to see if Jeff was following her. She didn't see anyone, but she kept up her walk anyway, not taking any chances. She was close to the edge of the park now, and she was sure Roxas was waiting for her at Sora's house. She hadn't finished her thinking, but that didn't matter anymore. She just wanted to be away from that jerk.

 

Roxas' eyes widened slightly. He left the bench behind as he started the way Namine had left. He wasn't liking the way things were going, and he knew staying closeby would be a good idea.

 

Namine exhaled softly, turning around one more time to see if she was being followed. Her eyes widened slightly when she saw the boy hurrying through the crowd, heading toward her. She picked up her speed, no longer walking, but running. The wind blew through her blond hair as she exitted the park, going by two houses before getting close to an alleyway. She let out a scream when she felt somebody grab her arm and pull her into the alley, but her cry was muffled when a hand went over her mouth. What?!? What was going on?! Namine felt herself being pushed against a wall, one boy pressing her one arm against the wall before another took care of her right arm and did the same. The third boy kept his hand over her mouth, looking at the terrified girl.

 

Roxas had flitted his eyes up in time to catch Namine running, and then looked further behind her, seeing Jeff going after her. Not liking the feeling he suddenly got in his heart, Roxas found himself running across the grass in the park, racing after Namine.

 

Namine looked at the blond haired boys in front of her, immediatly recognizing them as members of the football team. But...what did they want with her. She tried to cry out for help, but her voice was muffled because of the hand over her lips. Her eyes widened in fright, feeling the one boy forcefully keep his hand on her mouth.

"Unless you have a death wish, I suggest you don't scream," he stated, keeping his eyes locked with Namine's. "Now, I'm going to remove my hand, and you're not going to scream. Got it?" He waited a moment, seeing Namine nodding her head in fright. He removed his hand and was not met by a scream, but a question.

"Wh-what do you want?" Namine asked shakily, her voice filled with fright and panic.

"I want revenge," a voice came from the other end of the alley, and Jeff approached the scene. "Hello, Namine. It appears we have some unfinished buisiness." He formed one hand as a fist, then pressed it into his other hand, cracking his fingers. "You see, you slapped me. And no girl gets away with that. So now I'm going to mess up your pretty little face."

OOC: Gotta go, see you tomorrow. I might be back in a few minutes to get in one or two more posts, but I can't make any promises.

 

Roxas ran outside the park, his heart beating crazily inside his chest as he followed the way Jeff had gone. He ran as fast as his legs would carry him, wanting to do nothing else but find Namine.

OOC: Okay. See you later.

 

"Get away from me," Namine said shakily, her eyes betraying her fear. Her arms were still pinned against the wall, and it was pretty painful, both from the awkward twist and the bruising on her wrists.

Jeff grinned wickedly, one of his boys backing away so he could stand right in front of her. "Payback time, babycakes."

 

Roxas heard faint voices, and ran a little farther until he heard a deeper voice clearly. He skidded to a halt, stopping in front of an alleyway. His eyes widened when he saw five people at the other end, one of those people being... Namine! Roxas' eyes found Jeff, his eyebrows furrowing. "Hey!" he hollered from his position, his voice echoing a little off the alley walls.

 

Namine's eyes widened at the sound of the familiar voice, her head turning in that direction. "Roxas?!" She cried out in surprise and relief, glad to see that he had somehow found her. But how? How did he know where she was...? Her thoughts were interupted when her eyes caught onto movement, her head turning toward the motion.

Jeff, angered by Roxas' presence but not paying any mind, had pulled back his hand in frustration. He slapped Namine hard on the face, hearing a satisfying cry leave her lips.

Namine let out out a short cry leave her lips at the hard impact, her face turning again because of the strength behind the blow. She felt heat rising to her cheeks, tears quickly forming in her eyes. That really hurt! She thought, her emotions of anger, sadness, and fright mixing together in a terrible blend. Not wanting Roxas to see her cry, she shut her eyes tightly, her cheek ringing in pain.

 

Roxas froze at the action, his eyes widening in disbelief and hurt. He looked at Namine, seeing her squeezing her eyes shut tightly, and he knew then that she was in a lot of pain. Roxas' eyes found Jeff again, his eyebrows furrowing in anger. "That's enough, Jeff!" he yelled, his voice louder than before from anger. Roxas started walking toward the guys slowly.

 

Jeff furrowed his eyebrows slightly, though he kept a small, cocky grin on his face. "What're you going to do to stop me?" He challenged, motioning for one of his boys to move up beside him.

Namine felt one tear escape her as she peaked her eyes open, feeling two of the boys still pinning her arms against the brick wall. This time, there was no way she could break free. They were standing to the sides of her, so she couldn't kick them. If she tried, she would probably fall, and she could seriously injure her arms. She felt helpless as she glared at Jeff, seeing him from a side view.

 

Roxas kept taking slow steps toward them as he made his way down the alley to get closer to Namine. Jeff had no idea what Roxas could do to him, and testing him was a bad idea because of the damage he could do to Jeff and his friends. But Roxas knew he couldn't summon his Keyblades, meaning he'd have to go fist to fist with the jerk.

 

Jeff and his friend stood side by side, silently watching Roxas approach them. Even though football season was over, they were still in good shape. There was no way that Roxas could beat even one of them...or at least, that's what Jeff thought.

Namine bit her lip, her scared eyes moving from Jeff to Roxas. She saw anger in his eyes, and surprisngly, she wasn't frightened. She was just so relieved that he was there...and she knew he would make things right. He had to.

 

Roxas stopped about ten feet from the football players and Namine's position. He flitted his eyes over to Namine, locking gazes with her for a moment. Then he shifted his gaze to Jeff, his expression turning into a glare. "Just let Namine go, Jeff," he said, his voice slightly calm but also holding that anger inside. He wanted to try and compromise before getting into violence. He knew that if things resorted to physical violence, he would probably hurt Jeff more than he was intending to at this moment. Despite that, he would do whatever it took to protect Namine.
