KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Honestly, Namine didn't know what to feel. The extremeness of Roxas' rage had frightened her so much...mostly because she had never seen him angry before. It also didn't help that she was put in a position where she was being used to turn up his anger. That made Namine realize one thing: Smith was an idiot; he should have known not to test Roxas like that. The blonde slowly closed her eyes, her light stroking stopping as she gently squeezed Roxas' hand.

 

Roxas closed his eyes for a moment as he pushed that memory away. He didn't want to think about it, knowing it would only upset him. He opened his eyes again, his ocean-blue orbs falling on Namine's face and then looking at her hand in his. He would always be there for her, and he would always be her protector.

 

Namine lowered her head slightly, some of her blonde bangs coming down into her closed eyes. The thoughts were too intense, and she knew that she couldn't handle focusing on them all at once. But at the same, she felt as if she would be worse off if she completely ignored her troubles. Either way...it brought pain.

 

Roxas stared at Namine's hand in his, so glad she was still with him. Smith had gone over the line with what he had done, hurting Namine in more ways than one. A little bit of sunshine from one of the windows shown on Namine's light skin, and that was when Roxas noticed something on her wrist. "Namine...?" His eyebrows furrowed slightly as he looked at the marks on her wrist, concern in his eyes.

 

Namine opened her eyes at the sound of her name, hearing the strange tone of voice spoken behind it. She flitted her eyes to Roxas, and then saw that he wasn't looking at her face, but at her wrist. The blonde bit her lip lightly, seeing the bruising in the sunlight that now shone on her hand and wrist.

 

Roxas let go of her hand as he pushed himself up to a sitting position, bring his feet to the floor as he sat in front of her. His eyes fell on her and then to her hands. What...?

 

Namine let her eyes follow Roxas' movement, seeing his eyebrows furrowed in concern. She hesitantly took her right hand back, setting it in her lap next to her other hand.

 

Roxas looked up at Namine, looking at her in deep concern. He held out both of his hands, palms up. "Let me see," he requested gently, wanting to take a closer look to see if she was alright.

 

Namine shyly met his eyes, seeing the concern in his piercing blue orbs and hearing it in his voice. She lifted up her hands, gently laying them in Roxas' as she lowered her gaze to them.

 

Roxas looked down at her hands in his, seeing the bruises and marks on them. He could clearly tell where Smith had pressed the hardest with his fingers, and gripped the hardest with his hand. Roxas ran his thumb over the marks lightly, making sure not to put pressure on them so he wouldn't hurt Namine.

 

Namine turned her head away, knowing that Roxas was concerned. It was just bruising, and even if it did hurt....even with his very light touch, it wasn't as big of a deal as what could have happened.

 

Roxas stopped moving his thumbs and took them off her hands so he wouldn't touch the bruises. He looked up at Namine, seeing her head turned away. He then shifted his gaze back to her hands, feeling sadness inside him, but also a little anger at what Smith had done. Roxas closed his eyes, trying to push that one bad emotion away. Now was a time for care, not anger, and he was sure Namine didn't want to see him ticked off anyway. Roxas knew that Smith got what he deserved; he was dead, hopefully in Hell, though the thug deserved something much worse.

 

Namine exhaled softly through her nose, her eyes closing slightly as Roxas left the bruising alone. She didn't want Roxas to worry about her anymore, since he was already concerned about her emotions. She wanted to reassure him somehow that she was alright, but she couldn't lie to him; yesterday had really shaken her up.

 

Roxas kept his eyes closed as he inhaled and then exhaled, calming that bit of anger that had risen within him. He opened his eyes, his blue orbs falling on her hands again. He stroked them with his thumbs where they weren't hurt, glad that nothing worse had happened to her physically.

 

Namine sucked in a breath and slowly turned her head back toward Roxas, her light blue eyes finding their way up to his ocean blues. She felt sadness in her heart, and she knew that it appeared in her eyes as well.

 

Roxas continued to stroke her hands lightly as he looked up, finding her light blue eyes looking into his ocean-blue eyes. He read her eyes, seeing sadness in them. Roxas desperately wanted to say some comforting words, but he didn't really know what to say.

 

Namine inhaled as she lowered her gaze from his, her eyes falling on their hands. That light stroking pattern...it reminded her of the way Smith had touched her when he had spoken to her. Namine felt tears appear at the memory, her eyes falling to the floor as she tried to hide her increasing sadness from Roxas.

 

Roxas bit his lip and looked down at her hands as he continued to stroke them. He could feel the aura of sadness in the room as he focused his gaze on the movement of his thumbs.

 

The stroking was meant to be a gentle gesture of love, but it was too painful for her to stand because of the memory in her heart. She pulled her left hand out of Roxas' grasp, grabbing at his left hand as she held it in both hands. She exhaled softly, her eyes closing completely as she tried to get rid of the tears.

 

Roxas looked up at her at the sudden shift of movement, his hand now held by both of hers. He leaned forward slightly, bringing up his right hand and tucking away some of the hair that was in her face behind her ear.
