KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Namine kept her eyes locked with Roxas', the tears filling her eyes to the rims. Still, she refused to let them fall. Not now. Namine pulled back her left hand, gently letting it fall to her side.

 

When Namine pulled her hand away, Roxas immediately reached up and put his hand over her right hand that was still on his face, wanting to keep it there as he gazed into her eyes. She meant so much to him, and if he had lost her...he didn't know what he would do if she was gone.

 

Namine exhaled softly through her nose, her eyes flitting to the floor for a brief moment before she looked back up into Roxas' eyes.

Now that he was completely done destryoing the gummi ship and searching the warehouse, Sora decided that it was time to go back. Time to take Kairi home...away from this horrible place. Sora sighed and walked out through the doorway, leaving an obliterated gummi ship behind him.

 

Roxas wrapped his fingers around her hand on his face, not looking away from her eyes. He felt a little uncomfortable with the silence, afraid that either more memories were coming back to her mind or that she was thinking about something that would sadden him if he found out.

Kairi had made her way to the wall, leaning against it weakly and tiredly, all of today's action taking a toll on her. She had her eyes shut as she leaned her head back against the wall, her eyes closed as she tried to relax in the uneasy environment while she waited for Sora's return.

 

Namine shakily took in a breath, all the emotions from earlier coming back to her. Not from Roxas, but from Smith. He had treated her so wrongly in so many ways, and the memories haunted her, especially the last, disgusting sentence that he had said to her. Most of the tears stayed in Namine's eyes, but one escaped, slowly trickling down her cheek.

Sora looked down as he walked, noticing his dirty jeans with rips and tears in them. He lowered his eyes to his left arm, seeing dried blood from earler. He exhaled softly, the pain starting to come back to his arm as the adrenaline faded out.

 

Roxas lifted his free hand to Namine's cheek, his finger meeting the tear before it could fall from her face. He wiped it away gently, his eyes looking back into hers.

Kairi let one of her arms rest across her stomach while her other hand rested on the cold concrete floor. She took in a soft breath, her eyes staying closed as she tried to find a little easiness within the place.

 

Namine exhaled softly at the gentle touch, the tears staying in her eyes as she returned his stare. Slowly, she let her eyes close, fearing the tears would fall if she didn't shut her eyes.

Sora approached the door and opened it, entering the hall where he assumed Roxas and Namine were still sitting.

 

Roxas held her hand that was still against his face, but he pulled it down from his cheek, tightening his grasp around it a little.

 

Namine opened her eyes partway, her light blue orbs falling on the hand that Roxas held so lightly. Some of her blond hair fell into her eyes as she let her head fall slightly, suddenly feeling tired from everything that had happened.

Sora sucked in a breath and walked past Carter's body once more before rounding the corner, seeing Roxas and Namine in their same spot.

OOC: Man, it's late! I gotta go, bye.

 

We should probably get up, Roxas thought as he looked at her, holding her hand. His eyes found her other hand by her side and he reached for it, running his hand along her forearm before reaching her hand. He wrapped his hand around hers and then put one leg up, kneeling on one knee as he slowly started to stand up.

Kairi lifted her hand off the concrete floor and wrapped her other arm across her stomach as she pulled her knees closer to her chest. She leaned her head forward, letting her forehead rest against her knees as she let out a soft breath from exhaustion.

OOC: So do I. I'm exhausted. D8 See you tomorrow!

 

Namine flitted her aways away from the floor at the gentle touch, feeling Roxas' hand lightly running over her light purple sweater. Her eyes followed the movement and then stopped when Roxas' lightly grabbed her other hand, holding it in his as he started to stand up. She shifted her position as well, putting one leg beneath her as she stayed in sync with Roxas' movement.

Sora walked down the hall, getting closer to his two blonde friends and Kairi. He noticed that they were starting to stand up, and he was glad that both of them seemed to be unhurt. Well, physically, anyway. There was a very sad, somber aura about them, and Sora figured that he had missed something during the fight. Still, he would find out at another time, since it was time to go home. The brunette sucked in a breath and kept walking forward, passing his two friends.

 

Roxas kept his eyes on Namine as he moved his other leg, starting to stand up straight. After everything, he just wanted to leave this place and never come back.

Kairi exhaled a deep breath, trying to relax a little as she waited for Sora's return. Unfortunately, it was kind of impossible due to what had happened here earlier, the memories haunting.

 

Namine set her left foot on the floor beside her right as she stood herself upright, her eyes shifting to the floor as she inhaled. She just wanted the day to be over as soon as possible.

Sora turned into the doorway to the room and immediatly caught sight of Kairi, seeing the redhead sitting against the back wall. "Kairi," he called softly, letting her know that it was time for them to leave.

 

Roxas took in a soft breath through his nose, looking down at Namine in so much concern. He knew that he had to put his own emotions behind him and take care of her first, though he was pretty sure that she was still uneasy around him after what happened.

Kairi lifted her head at the voice, her violet-blue eyes catching onto the ocean-blue at the door. She put her hands on the cold floor and started to push herself up. Finally...it was time to go home.

 

Namine lifted her eyes slightly, her gaze falling on their hands. Despite everything, she was still very glad that Roxas held her hands the way that he did, showing her that he was still kind and gentle. But now she saw him as something more too, but she didn't want to think about that. Not anymore.

Sora patiently waited for Kairi, his gentle blue eyes following her movements.

 

Roxas exhaled his breath, holding her hands in his tightly...and a little hesitantly, not really knowing what she was thinking of him at that moment.

Kairi fixed her grey shirt when she was fully upright and then started toward Sora, wanting to get out of here.

 

Namine kept her eyes on their hands for a moment, slightly aware that Roxas was still looking at her. Poor Roxas; he had acted out to protect her, and now they were both upset with how things turned out. He didn't deserve that...not from her. She exhaled softly, her eyes shutting from tiredness. The sooner it all ended, the better.

Sora kept his hands at his side as he watched Kairi approach him, seeing tiredness in her eyes. He wasn't surprised; the day was very hectic, and it had taken a lot out of all of them.

OOC: Just wondering...but how would you like a time gap? Maybe get everyone to Sora's place, asleep, and then start the next day?

 

Roxas closed his eyes for a second, letting one of his hands slip out of hers but keeping his other hand around hers. They just needed to go home, and when they did, get some sleep and figure all of this out later. Roxas was a little too worn out from all of the physical and emotional action that took place, and he couldn't really think straight with so many things running through his mind.

Kairi crossed her arms as she approached Sora, her eyes catching onto the two guards', Scott and Johnson, bodies that were still in the room. She immediately looked away, not wanting to remember any of that. She felt chills crawl up her spine, this place giving her the creeps.

OOC: Sure, I don't see why not. =)

 

OOC: Okay, I guess I'll lead.

Fortunatly for all of them, Sora had his wallet with him at the end of the day, and he had enough money to pay for a cab ride home. The taxi was eerily silent, and he didn't dare break through it. Too much had happened in one day, and they all recognized that. But...now it was over. Hopefully, anyway. Sora had decided to take all his friends back to his house, since it was the closest and had the most places to sleep. He figured that Kairi and Namine could take the beds, and then Roxas could take the couch. He didn't know where he would sleep, but that didn't matter as long as his friends were taken care of.

Namine kept her eyes out the window for the ride, sitting with her head lightly leaning on Roxas' shoulder. She felt extremely exhausted, a lot of it coming from emotional stress. A soft sigh escaped her lips as she saw the taxi slow down in front of Sora's house. Sora hadn't said anything at all to them, but she knew that he probably was going to offer for them to stay the night. Namine flitted her eyes down to the door handle as she sat herself more upright, pushing the door open as Sora paid the taxi driver.

 

During the car ride to Sora's, Kairi had almost fallen asleep in the backseat, barely able to keep her eyes open after all of the excitement earlier that day. Despite it all, though, she was just glad to be with them all again. If they hadn't come for her, Kairi would be gone, being taken to another world by her kidnappers. Fortunately, it hadn't come to that, and she was so grateful for everything Sora had done for her, and Roxas and Namine too. She had noticed a strange vibe coming from both of them on the ride home, but she didn't ask about it...she couldn't, really, being too exhausted to say anything. When the car finally arrived at Sora's home, Kairi took in a tired breath and opened the door, desperately wanting to lie down.

Roxas hadn't said a word on the way to Sora's house, not really able to think of anything to say...or able to find his voice, really. The ride was silent, and he didn't really think he should break it anyways. As the taxi pulled up to Sora's, he felt Namine take her head off his shoulder and open the door, and he started to follow her out as Sora paid the fee.
