KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Sora continued to gaze into her eyes, his light stroking slowly slowing down. His gentle blue eyes stayed locked with hers as he stilled his hand and leaned forward, planting a light kiss on Kairi's lips before going back to his previous position.

 

Kairi felt herself smile faintly at the loving kiss, her hand coming up to rest on his on her cheek.

 

Sora exhaled softly at the gentle touch, relieved that they had the ability to be together like this again. The whole thing had been crazy, and he was just glad that they all got out of it. At least...so far. His blue eyes lightly flitted shut for a moment as he thought. How do we know that nobody else was here? Are we really safe...?

 

Even though he shut his eyes, Kairi kept her gaze on Sora, not wanting to look away from him after their long seperation. Well, it seemed long to her anyway, especially under these circumstances. She was just glad that he was alright, after everything that had happened. She felt terrible for putting her friends in danger like that, caring for them so much that she didn't want them to be put in that kind of situation again.

 

Sora slowly flitted his eyes open, his gaze catching Kairi's again. "Can you stay here for a few minutes?" Sora requested softly, feeling a trace of sadness appear in his eyes. "I need to make sure that there's no longer a threat," he explained, his voice a little quieter and more serious than it had been a few moments ago.

 

Kairi caught a change of appearance in his eyes, nodding slightly. She understood that he needed to make sure everything was all right for them, so she didn't object, though she didn't want him to leave either. But it had to be done, and she couldn't be selfish.

 

Sora held onto Kairi's gaze as he let his hand gently slide under hers, lightly placing it on the floor as he pushed himself up. "I'll be back soon," he promised, looking down at Kairi as he stood upright. A small smile appeared on his lips as he spoke again. "Remember, you can call me if you need anything...okay?" Their hearts were connected, and he knew that if there was a problem, she would call on him.

 

Kairi smiled faintly and nodded. "Okay," she replied softly, looking up at him.

 

Sora kept a small smile on his lips before forcing himself to turn away, knowing that there was a job that needed to be done. A soft breath escaped his lips as he walked toward the doorway. The warehouse was pretty big, so he would need to take his time and search the whole place to make sure that they weren't in any more danger.

 

Kairi closed her eyes and leaned her head back against the pole for a moment, bringing a hand to her forehead in exhaustion and aggravation from all that had happened that day. Hopefully stuff wouldn't keep piling on.

Roxas took in a breath through his nose, opening his eyes finally after the long silence between him and Namine as he held her in his arms.

 

Sora silently walked out the doorway and turned down the hall, but not before noticing a bloody body a little bit away from Roxas and Namine. Even though the body was face down, Sora knew that it was Smith. Still, that didn't mean much to him now. That was over, and Sora desperatly hoped that everything was over. He kept his arms at his sides as he walked down the hall, knowing that this area was safe.

Namine stayed still in Roxas' arms, her eyes staying closed as she felt his gentle embrace still around her.

 

Roxas' blue orbs had caught onto some movement, the boy knowing it was Sora who was walking down the hallway. He couldn't help but wonder what he was doing...

Kairi rubbed her forehead with her fingers for a second before running her hand through her red hair, the strands parting to one side naturally.

 

Sora continued to walk straight, not turning back as he walked. He just wanted to finish up his buisiness here and then take Kairi home, where he would keep her safe again. The path of his walk shifted slightly as he turned a corner, heading toward the door where Smith and Carter had entered. Carter's body still laid on the floor, unmoving. Sora quickly tore his eyes away and kept walking, focusing on the task at hand.

Namine exhaled softly, her light blue eyes opening partway as she gazed at the floor.

 

Well, whatever Sora was doing, Roxas hoped he would be careful; he didn't think they could handle any more chaos. The boy flitted his eyes down to the bleach blonde hair that stood out in the hallway, his gaze falling on Namine as he gently moved his hand along her back, trying to comfort her a little more.

Kairi caught sight of her wrists again and turned her attention to them, her fingers running over the marks on them. She gently started rubbing them with her fingertips, trying to make them disappear a little faster.

 

Sora pulled the door open and then gently shut it, cautiously looking at another long stretch of hallway. It was empty, and he was relieved to see that. Still, that could mean nothing; there could still be danger.

Namine exhaled softly through her nose, her eyes shutting again at the gentle touch. In all honesty, she wasn't sure what she felt at that moment. She was still a little afraid from earlier, Roxas' rage having such a profound impact on her. But at the same time, she felt comforted with his love and care.

 

Roxas shifted his head slightly to rest it on top of hers, continuing to move his hand slowly along her back.

 

Sora finished inspecting that hallway as he rounded another corner, immediatly met with another door. He silently opened it, peeking in to see if he saw anything. His eyes widened when he saw their storage room, dozens of boxes lined up against the walls with guns inside them.

Namine lightly bit her lip, gently letting go of Roxas as she slowly opened her eyes again, keeping her gaze lowered to the ground.

 

Roxas lifted his head slightly when her grasp on him left, his eyes falling on her again as a breath left him through his nose.

Kairi moved her legs, glad that they weren't tied together anymore. She let go of her wrists and started pushing herself up, needing to stretch. She sighed softly, her legs stretching as she stood up.

 

Sora stood there in the doorway for a moment, his mouth hanging agape in awe before he noticed something: a gummi ship. It was in the back of the huge room, and it looked as if it was fully loaded. And there...standing by the ship, where five armed gunmen. Sora let out a soft gasp in realization and quietly shut the door, hoping they hadn't seen him. Five of them...well armed and probably trained to fight to the death. Sora grimaced slightly. This can't possibly end well...

Namine gently pulled her head out of Roxas chest as she brought her arms back to her side. A soft breath escaped her lips as she brought up her right hand, running it lightly over her cheek as she tried to get rid of the tear stains. She needed to pull herself together...

 

Roxas let his hands leave her back as he gazed at her. "Are you okay?" he asked softly, wondering how she was doing now that things had settled down.
