KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Namine felt herself smile faintly at his soft spoken words, dispite the fact that she still felt a little uneasy. But...he loved her, and she loved him. If she focused on that, she would make it through the rest of the day.

Sora turned around and rounded a corner, not looking back at Carter's body as he walked down the hall. He saw Namine and Roxas holding onto each other, though he had no idea why they seemed to be holding on so tightly. Still, he decided not to cut in and ask. He kept walking, getting closer to Kairi.

OOC: Okay. I do have a full school day tomorrow, so...yeah. D:

 

Roxas took in a deep breath, holding Namine close. After what just happened, he didn't want to let go. He didn't want another "Smith" to come by, and he felt as if holding onto her would keep anyone from snatching her away.

Kairi closed her eyes, exhaling through her nose. Today had been one of the worst days of her life, too many things having taken place. With her kidnappers...and Sora's hurt that she had seen in him when they were taking her away...and her own hurt from everything...She just wanted it to end, and not knowing if it was over made her let out a quiet, muffled sob behind the tape as tears welled behind her closed eyes. I just want to go home...To be with Sora...

 

Namine exhaled softly through her nose, her eyes staying closed as she let Roxas hold her.

Sora kindly let his friends be as he walked past them, taking a few steps before turning into the room. His sad eyes immediatly fell on Kairi, and he silently walked over toward her position.

 

Kairi felt a tear slip from her eyes, slightly aware of the footsteps in the room. She didn't open her eyes to look up, not wanting to take the chance of catching sight of someone she didn't want to see.

 

Sora's eyes softened when he saw a tear slide down Kairi's cheek, and he was immediatly concerned. "Kairi..." his voice was soft as he took a few more steps toward her, kneeling down next to her and gazing at her face.

 

Kairi lifted her head at the voice, her watery eyes opening and finding the person next to her. Her violet-blue eyes fell on the familiar piercing blue.

 

Sora felt his eyes shine with concern when he saw the tears in her eyes, feeling saddened by them.

 

Kairi felt relief rush over her when she realized it was him...and that he was alright. She heard a soft sob leave her as she blinked, a tear straying from her eye as she gazed as him.

 

Sora felt slightly started at the sudden sob, and he really didn't know what was wrong. Was she hurt? Was she sad? He looked into her eyes a moment longer before gently shifting his position, moving behind her as he gently picked up the knife. He gingerly started to cut through the rope, finding an open area now.

 

Kairi flitted her eyes to her knees again when Sora started cutting the rope. She wanted her hands to be free, her arms in pain from being stuck behind her for so long, and the tape over her mouth really starting to annoy her. She felt the tear that left her eye earlier trickle down the side of her face. Her tears were a mixture of sadness and relief, Kairi being upset that all this had to happen and being so relieved that Sora was all right.

 

Sora gently finished sawing through the rope, Kairi's hands finally being freed from behind her back. The brunette sucked in a breath softly before moving himself over a few feet, deciding that it would be better for him to start cutting the rope off her ankles rather than pulling the tape off her mouth. He feared that he would accidently hurt her if he pulled at the tape, and he didn't want to be in that position.

 

Kairi flexed her hands, bringing her arms to her sides. She lifted up one of her hands and started pulling off the duct tape, closing her eyes because of how slightly painful it was.

 

Sora gently laid one hand on Kairi's leg as he pressed the other lightly against the rope, lightly cutting through an open spot. It was almost done now, and he knew what he would do right after he was done: he would wipe away Kairi's tears and promise never to let anyone hurt her. Not ever again. He was her protector, and he would protect her from all the hurt in the world if he could. He pulled back the knife when he saw the rope snap, the final binding coming loose.

 

Kairi pulled the tape off her mouth, turning her head slightly with it before it was completely off. She let out a breath through her mouth, relieved to have the thing off of her skin. She flung the tape a few feet away, bringing her attention to her wrists. Kairi wrapped her fingers around one of her wrists and rubbed it slightly, red marks visible from the tightness of the ropes on both of her wrists from cutting off her circulation.

 

Sora flitted his eyes to Kairi's wrists, saddened to see the red marks that the ropes had left. He knew they had been tight for a while, but still...seeing the marks made him feel saddened again, and a bit of anger as well. He chased away the emotions, knowing he had felt enough anger earlier to last him for a while. His ocean-blue orbs shifted upward, landing on Kairi's violet-blue eyes.

 

Kairi swallowed as she looked at her wrists, trying to rub away the marks with her fingertips. She felt someone's eyes on her, but care and love behind the gaze. Her watery eyes flitted up, falling on Sora's piercing blue.

 

Sora kept his eyes gently locked with Kairi's, letting his right hand wander up to her cheek. The back of his hand lightly ran over her wet face, trying to comfort her as well as get rid of the tear stains.

 

Kairi felt her eyes close for a second at his gentle touch before opening again and locking onto his ocean-blue orbs.

 

"You okay?" Sora asked softly, all his anger from earlier out of his voice. There was a time for anger, and there was a time for care, and now was obviously a time for care. He gently cupped her cheek in his hand, his thumb lightly running over her damp skin.

 

Kairi gazed into his eyes. "I am now," she replied, her voice soft as she spoke the first few words after not speaking in quite a few hours. And what she said was completely true; now that Sora was with her, and she was untied, she felt a little more at ease, despite the situation.
