KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Sora felt his feet sliding from Carter's force, the strength of his attack pushing the teen a few feet away from the original starting point. Sora panted and gripped his Keyblade tightly, glaring at the man as he tried to regain his strength.

Namine sniffled once, her head turning to face more downward as her last tear escaped and landed on Roxas. Namine shakily inhaled, her eyes opening partway before she shut them again. "I'm sorry," she whispered softly, her blonde hair hiding her face.

 

Carter held his weapon tightly, his clothing soaked with his blood. But he wouldn't give up yet, not when he still had the Princess in his grasp.

Roxas felt her tear land on his shirt and soak through so he could feel it against his skin. He opened his eyes at her soft spoken words, looking down. "Don't apologize," he said, his voice pleading. He was saddened that she even apologized when she didn't do anything wrong.

 

Sora growled angrilly and pulled back his Keyblade, gripping it tightly with both hands. "That's enough!!" Sora yelled out in anger, dragging the tip of his Keyblade on the concrete floor as he charged forward.

"If he hadn't taken me, none of this would have happened--" Namine's shaky words came out of her lips, her eyes opening and flitting up to Roxas. "It's my fault." She whispered those last few words, the tears reappearing in her eyes.

 

Kairi squeezed her eyes shut at Sora's holler, hearing the anger in his voice.

Carter gritted his teeth together, letting out a low growl as he watched the kid sprint toward him, seeing sparks fly on the concrete floor from his Keyblade dragging against it.

Roxas lifted his head a little at her words and pulled back slightly to look into her eyes, his arms still around her form. He shook his head when he read her eyes and the words sunk in. "No, Namine. No," he said, lifting one of his hands and bringing it to the back of her head, his other arm still around her form. "Please don't say that..." He was sad to hear those words leave her, especially when they weren't true.

 

Sora let out a soft growl as he pushed himself off the ground, launching himself high into the air. He held his Keyblade in front of vertically as he fell down on the man, the force behind his weapon strong enough to kill the man.

Namine's tears stayed in her eyes as she returned Roxas' stare, though she wasn't able to hold it for long. She flitted her eyes to the floor, feeling guilty. It's my fault...it's all my fault...

 

Carter watched the kid start to return to the ground, holding his weapon in his hands as his eyes followed him.

Roxas kept his gaze on her though she looked away. "Why would you even think that?" he asked, his voice soft. He was completely oblivious to the fight going on, his main focus on Namine.

 

Sora roared and brought down his Keyblade on the man, completely diverting Carter's blade and seeing the Kingdom Key strike the man.

Namine bit her lip for a brief moment before looking up, her eyes finding Roxas' again. "If he hadn't taken me, you wouldn't have gotten so angry." Namine said shakily, her eyes quivering slightly as she gazed up at him. "None of this would have happened..."

 

Roxas gazed into her eyes, his hand leaving her head at her words. He lowered his head slightly, looking down for a moment. His anger...that was the center of all of this. "I scared you...didn't I?" he asked softly, his eyes not meeting hers.

Carter released a roar of pain from his lips when he felt the Keyblade hit him...and it struck him with force. His scream echoed through the room, bouncing off the walls.

Kairi cringed at the cry that entered her ears, squeezing her eyes shut even tighter.

 

Namine didn't respond; she couldn't, really. His rage had scared her, and she knew that if he heard those words, it would break his heart. She shut her eyes and pulled herself closer to him, her head against his shoulder as she stayed silent.

Sora felt his feet land on the ground, and he continued his attack. He pulled back the Kingdom Key, holding it with both hands before thrusting it forward, into Carter's chest.

 

Carter let out another roar in pain, dropping his weapon, the hefty sword clattering loudly on the floor.

Roxas closed his eyes, his arms wrapping a little tighter around her form when she came closer. He had scared her, enough to make her cry even...and that was the worst feeling Roxas could ever have. To think that he had actually frightened her, his rage having gotten the best of him...

Kairi felt a tear slip from her eye. Just make it stop...

 

"You're finished." Sora growled, fiercly pulling his Keyblade out of Carter's chest and holding it in front of him.

Namine exhaled softly, keeping back the tears that had reappeared in her eyes. She had hurt Roxas enough for one day, and she knew that his heart would break if he saw her crying again.

 

Carter gasped slightly, feeling himself fading. He stumbled backward a few steps before letting out his last breath, and falling to the floor, his sunglasses falling from his face.

"I'm so sorry," Roxas said softly, keeping his eyes closed as he held Namine. He never wanted to do that again--make her afraid of him. Or make her cry... All of it made him upset, but it wasn't Namine, though she did apologize. It was his own fault; he should've finished Smith while he had the chance, but he let him get away...and grab Namine. If he had done that, she wouldn't be blaming herself and he wouldn't have frightened her so much.

 

Sora stared at the man in anger, fiery rage burning in his eyes as he kept his gaze on Carter. He knew that it was finished...and that Carter was...dead.

Namine inhaled shakily, her head staying burried in Roxas' shoulder. She heard his apology, and she accepted it, knowing that he would never try to hurt her in anyway. He loved her passionatly, and she loved him the same.

 

Roxas lifted one of his hands a little to rest against Namine's upper back as he exhaled softly through his nose. After everything, he was just glad it was all over. Too much had happened too fast, especially between him and Namine. He loved her with all he had, and he was positive she knew that. But the fact he had scared her and made her cry wouldn't leave him for a while, unfortunately.

Kairi felt her wet eyelashes tickled her face as she kept her eyes closed. Silence followed, her ears hearing nothing.

 

Sora kept his eyes on the man for a few more moments, letting everything sink in. He had just...killed a man. A sick feeling came to his stomach, despite the fact that the anger was still there. Of course Carter had deserved to die, but Sora had never actually killed another human being in such crazy rage. It wasn't in his nature. He gripped his head with one hand and shut his eyes tightly, feeling the rage stay inside his heart. What was happening to him?

Namine nestled her head into Roxas' chest, wanting to somehow let him know that she still loved him. Nothing could change that...ever.

OOC: Ugh, be right back. Hopefully.

 

Roxas opened his eyes partway, gazing down at her form. "I'm sorry," he apologized again, wanting to get across how truly sorry he was. "I'll never scare you...or make you cry again. Ever. I promise." He felt tears threaten to appear in his eyes, and he closed them as he held her in his arms.

OOC: Okay.

 

Namine flitted her eyes back up to Roxas at his words, taking them into account. Of course she believed him...how could she not? Their love ran so deeply, based on extreme trust and faithfulness. She nodded softly into his chest, believing his promise. He had never broken a promise to her before, and she trusted him completely.

Sora flitted his eyes forward, seeing the doorway that Carter and Smith had come through. He had no idea what was behind it. And then another thought suddenly struck him. What if there were more of them...? He needed to find out. Exploring this place and eliminating the threats was the only way to ensure Kairi's safety.

 

Roxas lowered his head a little and kissed the top of her head, his eyes staying closed.

Kairi opened her eyes halfway weakly, staring at her dark jeans. She swallowed, feeling the tape still against her mouth.

 

"I love you," Namine said softly, her eyes shutting briefly at his soft touch. He needed to hear those words, and she knew that she meant them with all her heart; her love for him could never perish.

Sora started toward the door then stopped, thinking of Kairi suddenly. Kairi...she was still tied up, wasn't she? Perhaps he should let free before he went to explore.

 

Roxas let his lips leave her head as he held her tightly. "I love you too," he said back quietly, meaning it deeply.

Kairi felt the effects of the kidnapping starting to take a toll on her, suddenly beginning to feel weak.

OOC: I have to go for the night. I get off of school at 2 tomorrow to start my 3 day weekend, so I'll be on earlier! See you later!
