KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Sora looked down and focused on the ropes, having a little difficulty because they were so tight on Kairi's wrists. The last thing that he wanted to do was hurt her, and even if he was in a rush, he would take the time to slow down with this.

Namine flitted her eyes to Roxas when she noticed him tense slightly, her concerned eyes staying on him. The last time he had thought something was wrong, he was very correct. She trusted his instincts, and that was what worried her at that moment.

 

Roxas gripped Oblivion even tighter in his hand as he narrowed his eyes slightly, becoming uneasy. He leaned forward slightly, trying to force his eyesight to be more advanced. He saw something move from outside the hall and his eyes widened when he heard something go off, moving very quickly to the side toward Namine just as a bullet was about to reach his head.

Kairi sucked in a breath and looked up with widened eyes at the noise, her heart skipping a beat with fear.

 

Namine gasped softly at the sound of a gunshot and instinctively cowered, bringing her hands to her head as she ducked.

"No..." Sora said softly in fear, his face turning more pale as he worked on Kairi's ropes. Roxas...Namine... Time was running out! The thoughts of desperation flowed into his mind as he continued to try and find a safe spot to go through Kairi's ropes.

 

Roxas gripped Oblivion tighter as he suddenly summoned Oathkeeper into his left hand. He ground his teeth together and stood in front of Namine, angled so no bullets could hit her if they came back through the door. He wouldn't let them hurt her, or anyone else for that matter. They'd come too far to lose.

Kairi looked at the entrance of the room. They need to leave before someone gets hurt! They'll kill them all if they catch them, and I can't let that happen because of me! They have to go and save themselves!

 

Namine raised her head slightly, opening her eyes and noticing that Roxas was standing in front of her. She drew in a shaky breath and let her eyes wander upward, her eyes finding Roxas standing in front of her with both his Keyblades.

Sora fearfully withdrew the knife for a second as he let his eyes wander to the doorway, anxiety growing inside him. If either of them got hurt...

 

Roxas lifted his Keyblades at the sound of gunfire, his quick reflexes blocking a bullet. He needed to get Namine to someplace safer! The guards would come running right through this room to reach Sora and Kairi, and if there became too many for Roxas to handle, him and Namine would be in a terrible situation.

Kairi felt herself let out an unexpected whimper as she stared at the door. They were coming...And she could only suspect the worst.

 

Sora let out a frustrated sigh as he rose to his feet, keeping the knife on the floor by Kairi's hands. He had acted too slowly, and now they were all in danger. "I'm sorry; I'll be right back." Sora promised, summoning the Kingdom Key and starting toward the door. There was no way that anybody could get into the room with him right there, so he wasn't too worried about Kairi's safety. He needed to take care of defending her before he released her.

Namine bit down on her lip to silence her whimper, the situation making her very nervous.

 

Roxas drew in a breath as another gun fired off, but he blocked the bullet. And then another fired. They were starting to come more rapidly, and that would only end badly. He stepped back a little, closer to Namine. He started to panic; Namine was in danger. But he had to protect her, no matter what it took.

Kairi looked up at Sora as she saw him head for the door, her eyes showing so many of her emotions. No... They're all in danger...because of me!

 

Namine turned her head slightly, her knees trembling as she let her gaze fall to the floor. They had been discovered, and now all of them were in great danger!

Sora moved to the doorway and peeked out his head, then quickly pulled it back into the room when a bullet slammed into the doorframe. He felt his eyes widen in panic. This definitly wasn't good.

 

Roxas twirled one of his keyblades and blocked oncoming fire, catching a glimpse of a few forms emerging from the shadows. He needed to get Namine someplace safe, and the only place he could think of was with Kairi. But he knew that the guards would only push them in there and he was afraid something worse would happen. They were cornered.

Kairi felt frustrated tears fill her eyes as she tried her hardest to pull on the ropes, but she knew it was no use. They had tied her up too tight, and it had been tough for Sora to even cut through them. Why did this have to happen?!

 

Namine kept herself behind Roxas, unable to control her lips for a brief moment. She heard herself whimper softly, afraid that something terrible was going to happen.

Sora felt trapped; he couldn't get out into the hallway to help Roxas and Namine, and he couldn't do anything in there either. It seemed hopeless.

 

With her being right behind him and being in the line of fire of he made a mistake, Namine was Roxas' main concern at this moment. He had to either keep up this blocking or he had to make sure she made it somewhere safe.

Kairi lowered her head and let out a sigh through her nose in frustration, a tear of sadness and anger leaving her eye.

Namine shut her eyes tightly when she heard another shot being fired, the bullet way off target and landing a few feet above her head.

Sora desperatly let his eyes wander the room, trying to come up with a plan. There weren't any objects to take cover behind, and definitly wasn't good. But the room may have been safer than the hallway, and if he could get Roxas to come in and they could work together somehow...

Roxas was beginning to fear when the gunmen would come closer, and then may shoot him where he's vulnerable. And even worse, if Namine was vulnerable. He moved Oathkeeper up in front of his face to block another shot.

 

Sora frustratedly ran a hand through his hair, his eyes wandering across the room. It would be hard to defend themselves in a place like this, but it would have probably been better than the hallway.

Namine exhaled shakily, her eyes opening partway and gazing at the floor. She knew that Roxas would try everything to protect her and himself, but she wasn't sure how much longer he could deflect the bullets.

 

A few gunshots were fired right after another, forcing Roxas to take a step back as he deflected the bullets as best as he could. He didn't have a choice; Namine had to get out of here. "Namine, go!" he cried over the gun fire as he twirled Oblivion and Oathkeeper, sending the bullets into the ceiling and out in front of him toward the gunmen. She had to get somewhere safer, and the room behind them was the only place available. He would move with her to be sure she didn't get hit with the bullets.

 

"What about you?" Namine cried out over the noise, fear in her voice. She knew that she had to do whatever Roxas asked, but she needed an answer to that question.

 

"I'll be all right!" Roxas answered, yelling over the continuous gunfire and blocking it. He slashed at one of the oncoming bullets, sending it out in front of him and successfully hitting one of the guards. "I'll cover you as you go. I'll be fine, I promise!" he finished, bringing up Oblivion and blocking another few bullets. All that mattered to him was that she would be away from this gunfire; he didn't care what happened to him at the moment.

Kairi closed her eyes tightly at every sound of a gunshot, hating to know that it was possible that one of her friends would get hurt because she was kidnapped.

 

Namine felt tears flood her eyes as she listened to his voice, frightened by the situation. She knew that he was just trying to keep her safe, but she felt like she was a hassle. She just wished that she wasn't so weak and vulnerable. The blond sucked in a shaky breath, keeping her eyes on Roxas and slowly taking a step back, toward the door.

Sora paced and went back over to Kairi, kneeling down beside her and examining the ropes. The thugs had done a very good job tieing them, and no matter where he looked, he didn't see an area open to cut them loose.

 

Roxas glanced over his shoulder, seeing her take a step back and then doing the same. He turned his attention in front of him, seeing the guards beginning to get closer to their position. He slashed at another bullet with one of his keyblades before bringing up the other to block one sent after the other.

Kairi took in a breath through her nose, opening her eyes as she kept her head lowered, staring down at her jeans. As much as she hated to say it, she shouldn't have let them come for her; she only put them all in danger.
