KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Sora exhaled heavily as they came up to the end of the sidewalk. He slowed his run slightly as they made a right turn, the tall warehouse in view. He knew that Roxas and Namine were probably wondering exactly where they were going, but he couldn't find his voice. He was just grateful that they were putting up with him in this strange situation.

 

After a moment, Kairi felt herself being put down, but roughly. She let out a short, muffled cry as she felt herself on the ground. She glared up at the man that put her down, her eyebrows furrowed over her blue eyes. If I'm of such important value to them, they better be careful! she thought angrily in her mind. She felt the men untying her hands and then putting them around something cold. She turned her head, feeling them tying her hands behind her back around a pole.

Carter let his men take care of Kairi as he made sure everything was in order.

 

Sora ran a little bit on the sidewalk before slowing even more, seeing the white van in front of the building. They were definitly there, all right. He signaled for Namine and Roxas to follow him as he turned into an alley to their right, stopping their run as he stepped into the shadows. He turned his head and waited for them, his eyes catching onto Namine first.

Namine kept her eyes on Sora as she slowed to a jog, stopping completely when she saw Sora standing still. She exhaled heavily and leaned herself against the wall against him, hearing him breathing heavily as well.

Smith watched Kairi and his men for a moment before heading off to check on the ship.

 

Roxas turned into the alley right after Namine, slowing down and stepping into the shadows alongside them against the wall, taking in a breath from all that running.

Kairi saw the men start to walk away as she turned her head, watching them. After a few seconds, she lowered her head, staring down at her jeans in both sadness and discomfort.

 

Sora looked up at the dark grey sky, noticing just now how dark it had gotten during their run. It was nighttime darkness, but the darkness that came before a storm. He lowered his eyes as he pushed himself off the wall, taking a few steps and standing in front of Roxas and Namine. "They're holding her in there," Sora explained, his chest rising and falling as he caught his breath between sentences. He silently pointed over at the warehouse, shifting his gaze from his friends to the location Kairi was at.

 

Roxas took in a breath as he followed Sora's point and then looked back at him. "So what's the plan?" he asked, panting from the long run.

Stupid title as Princess of Heart. None of this would've happened if I wasn't one, Kairi thought negatively as she closed her eyes, feeling tears well behind them. What was the purpose of kidnapping her? What did they want? Why did she have to put Sora in danger? Kairi took in a breath through her nose, feeling a tear threaten to leave her closed eye.

 

Sora turned his gaze back to Roxas as he lowered his arm, his eyes staying locked with his as he spoke. He had thought of this plan as they were running, and he knew that it wasn't too great, but it would work. "We need to get Kairi out of there before anything--which is why we're sneaking in first. I'll lead, then Namine--" he gazed at the blond girl, "--and then Roxas in the rear. Once we get Kairi out and to safety, Roxas and I can head back in and do whatever we need to."

Namine met Sora's gaze slightly and nodded, the plan making sense to her. She kept herself backed against the wall as she caught her breath.

 

Roxas nodded in agreement to the plan, understanding.

Kairi flexed her fingers slightly, shifting a little to the discomfort of the ropes. She could feel her circulation getting cut off, which was causing her pain. She felt a tear trickle down her cheek in both discomfort and sorrow.

 

"Let's go," Sora told his friends, aware that none of them were quite back to their normal breathing patterns just yet. But he didn't care; they had to get Kairi out of there first. Besides, they were taking it much more slowly now, so they would make it.

Namine exhaled softly and forced herself off the wall, her breathing a little softer than it had been a few minutes ago. Still, she wouldn't let herself be the weakest link. Well..maybe she was the weakest of the three, but she wouldn't let herself hold them back.

 

Roxas took in another breath, trying to get back to his regular breathing pattern as he nodded again.

Kairi opened her eyes and looked up, seeing a few guards standing by to keep watch. She blinked, her wet eyelashes tickling her cheeks.

 

Sora turned his back to the building and held out is hand in front of him, the Kingdom Keyblade appearing in a shimmering of light. He'd fight off anyone he had to, but they needed to sneak in first to get Kairi. If knocking out a few thugs meant that they got to Kairi...well, he was definitly okay with that.

 

Roxas' eyebrows were furrowed slightly in concentration as his eyes caught the light and then readjusted. Of course there would be fighting going on, and he had a feeling these guys would be cautious and prepared; they traveled from world to world, and he was sure they had good weaponry.

Kairi exhaled and let her head lower again, her hair falling from her shoulders next to her face. Wherever Sora was, she hoped he was close.

 

"Whatever it takes," Sora whispered aloud, his heart reapeating the words as he swung his keyblade through the air. He turned and faced the building, starting in that direction.

Namine followed behind Sora, watching him closely.

 

Kairi inhaled, another tear leaking from her eye. He was coming... He would save her. At the same time, though, she was disappointed. Not in Sora, but in herself; she hated putting people she cared about in situations like this. Just the thought of him getting hurt, or anyone she cared about for that matter, made more tears leave her eyes.

Roxas held his hand out to his side slightly as he followed, summoning Oblivion to back Sora up.

 

"We're coming in, Kairi." Sora's heart spoke softly to Kairi's as he silently approached the building. He saw some empty shipping crates to the side of it and quickened his pace as he headed for the shadows over there, unsure if anyone was keeping watch or not.

Namine followed Sora's actions, standing by his side as she pressed her back against the shipping crates. She looked over and saw Sora slowly moving himself along them, and she did the same thing.

Sora peeked his head around the corner for one brief moment before looking back in front of him, sucking in a breath. There was a side door there, and if it was unlocked, they could get in through there.

 

Kairi felt herself nod slightly as she received his message. "Be careful. And watch for the guards," she replied. She took in a breath through her nose and exhaled it, feeling a tear of relief stream down her face.

Roxas snuck to the crates, following behind. They had to be stealthy to not get caught.

 

"Right," Sora nodded silently before asking another question. "Any idea how many there are? Where they're located?" He asked, staying still as he waited for an answer. It would be better to go into this having an answer...if Kairi could provide him with some, anyway. He peeked around the side again, relieved to see that the coast was still clear.

 

"I'm not sure. There are a few in the room to keep watch, but I don't know how many are outside the room either," Kairi explained. "I didn't have the chance to take a good look around when they carried me in..."

 

"Okay," Sora nodded again. "How many are with you? Any close to the door?"

Namine stayed silent and curiosly kept an eye on Sora, wondering exactly why they were stopped. Were there guards around or something...?

 

Kairi lifted her head, her eyes falling on the guards at the door. "There are only two of them, but they're by the door, Sora." She took in a breath. "I don't think you'll be able to get in without being seen."
