KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Roxas pushed himself up from the ground, looking down the hallway and watching the scene unfold before him. He felt anger rush through him as they took off with Kairi.

Kairi felt her necklace around her neck come loose and she saw it drop on the ground, landing on the path that led to Sora's front door. "Let me go!" she screamed, hitting the man and kicking furiously. She suddenly felt herself getting practically thrown into the van, a cry leaving her lips.

Carter grabbed the keys and climbed into the driver side door. He shut it behind him and started the engine to the van.

 

Smith climbed into the front seat and slammed his door shut. He put his gun back in its place as he thought about the sucess of their mission. Surely nothing could stop them now.

Sora couldn't take it, Kairi's cry lighting a fiery anger inside him. He furrowed his brows in rage and ran out of the kitchen, past Roxas as he made his way to the door. He stood in the doorway and helplessly stared at the white van, and he knew that Kairi was trapped inside there now. He felt his heart break as he helplessly stood by the sidelines.

 

Kairi caught a glimpse of Sora rushing and then standing at the door of his home. She reached forward for him. "SORA!" she cried at the top of her lungs in fear. But one of the men in the back grabbed her and pulled her back, one man starting to tie up her legs and arms while another put duct tape across her lips. Her eyes were wide as she looked at him for one last second, one of the men sliding the van door shut.

Carter put the car in gear and sped off from their place on the road.

Roxas' eyes were wide and he started toward Sora.

 

Sora felt his eyes widen even more when he heard her cry, the sorrow and fear in her voice threatening to make Sora break down. But when he saw them restrain her...and tie her, he felt that rage inside him grow even more fiercly. "NO!" He cried out desperatly, sorrow, anger, and fear filling his voice with emotion.

Namine heard the squealing of tires and ran toward the hallway, hearing her friends' screaming.

 

His cry filled her ears as Kairi felt tears well her eyes when the van pealed out into the street. She knew then that she was truly in danger, leaving Sora behind.

Roxas approached Sora but stopped a few feet behind, seeing the van pull away.

 

"No. No." Sora repeated the word several times, his voice growing in volume with each one. "No! I won't let them do this!" He cried out in anger, clenching his hand tightly in a fist and punching the wall to his right with all his might. He heard the sound of a crash, and he let his eyes fall to the floor, seeing a picture of him and Kairi lying there on the tile ground. The glass was broken.

Namine approached the two boys, standing two steps behind Roxas as she watched the scene in front of her.

 

Roxas' eyes widened a little, his mouth hanging open slightly as he watched Sora.

Carter felt himself grin and then started laughing in triumph as he drove down the street. They did it--they grabbed the Princess and stole her from the Keyblade wielder!

Kairi sat against one side of the van, the other men surrounding her as Carter's laughs entered her ears. The duct tape over her mouth kept her from screaming and her hands behind her back kept her from fighting back, her hands and feet tied tightly with rope. She closed her eyes, one tear leaving her eyes and trailing down her cheek.

 

Smith grinned at Carter's laughter, thinking through the sucess. They had completed the mission without losing any men, and this was definitly going to be their toughest kidnapping. Soon, they would have the rest of the princessess. The rest of it would be a snap.

Sora's eyes softened slightly as he took a step over, kneeling down by the picture. He shakily wiped at the glass, clearing it so he could see the picture. It was of Kairi and Sora, smiling together back in January. It was a snowy day, and they had taken a walk in the park. A stranger had taken the picture of them, saying they looked happy together. He bit his lip lightly and let his eyes fall back on the doorway. He noticed something glimmering in the sunlight and he hurriedly picked himself up, running over to it. He felt himself collapse to his knees when he saw what it was; Kairi's necklace. "No...Kairi." Sora spoke softly, broken.

Namine bit her lip, unable to believe what had just happened. Kairi was gone...and it looked like none of them had any ideas on how to save her.

 

Carter's laughter died down and he looked in his rearview mirror at his men. "Good job, boys," he said, also flitting his eyes over to Smith.

Kairi lowered her head, feeling the tear that had already escaped her eye leave her cheek and land on her jeans. What was going to happen to her? She didn't know what these people wanted with her, only that they needed her for something. She had no idea where they were taking her...and even worse, Sora didn't know.

Roxas slowly walked forward, looking down at the picture and then looking out the doorway to Sora.

 

Smith gave Carter a silent grin, his eyes shining with pleasure behind his dark sunglasses.

Sora shakily reached forward and picked up the necklace, the broken chain and heart in his palm. He looked down at it for a moment, suddenly feeling all his emotions all jumbled together. Extreme sorrow, powerful rage...both overwhelming emotions coming together as one. And then...nothing. He lifted his eyes to the road, his eyes following the trail that the van had gone. And then he gazed down at the heart, an idea suddenly coming to mind. Kairi was connected to him, and he was connected with her. Perhaps they could come up with something. "Kairi...can you hear me?" Sora's heart called out softly, only gentleness in the silent voice.

 

Kairi took in a breath through her nose, crying silently. Then she heard a voice...his voice, which caused her to halt her breathing. But there was also a warmth in her heart. "...Sora?" her heart called out, fear and sorrow in the silent voice, representing how she would sound if she had actually spoken.

 

"Kairi, please don't be afraid." Sora's heart pleaded silently, feeling her sorrow and hurt. "I'm not going to let them do anything to you. But I'm going to need your help...okay?" The voice that called out to Kairi showed some of his sorrow, but it was surprisingly soft and calm, the words from his heart going out before he even thought about them.

 

Kairi felt herself crying more. She could actually hear him! "All right," she agreed, that sorrow still there as she communicated with him. Kairi kept her eyes closed, her wet eyelashes tickling her cheeks as she listened for his voice.

 

"...Can you see anything around you? Are you blindfolded?" Sora's voice came a little more rushed now, still hearing the sorrow in Kairi's voice.

 

"No, I can see," Kairi responded, opening her eyes. "The leader's driving and his partner's in the passenger seat. The four other men are in the back." She flitted her eyes to front windows, blinking to clear her blurry vision. "They're driving through the middle of the city, Sora. But I can't be sure of where exactly they're taking me," she finished, fear in her voice. She was dreadfully scared, especially since she had no idea who these people were and what they wanted.

 

"Okay Kairi," Sora responded softly, shutting his eyes in concentration. "Keep an eye on where your going, and tell me if there's any change in direction. I'm going to follow you guys, and I'll get to you before anything happens. I promise." Sora held the necklace in his hand a moment before putting it into his jeans pocket, starting to rise to his feet. He shifted his eyes in the direction of the city. The middle of the city was in that direction, and he would head that way too.

Namine stood a step behind Roxas, her sad eyes watching Sora as he rose to his feet. She wondered exactly what was going on in his mind, but she didn't dare ask him.

 

"I know you will," Kairi responded softly, her heart feeling his determination. And she would do as he said, and be sure to pay attention to where she was going.

Roxas watched Sora rise to his feet, wondering what was going on through his mind. He couldn't even imagine what Sora was feeling right now.

 

Sora turned his head toward the door suddenly, seeing his two friends looking at him. "We're going to have to move quickly if we're going to get her back," Sora told them, keeping his voice strong as he spoke. "You two come if you want, but you'll have to trust me and just do what I tell you. I don't have time to explain." Every second he wasted was a second further away from Kairi.

 

Roxas nodded, his eyes shining with determination as he looked at Sora. "With you every step of the way," he said seriously.

Kairi flitted her eyes to the floor of the van again, that fear and sadness still in her eyes as she stared at the ground. He was coming for her, and he would save her.
