KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Roxas grunt when he landed on the floor and his eyes widened when he saw both the gun and the knife pointed at his face.

"Hmph," Carter said. He stood still for a moment, staring Sora down.

Kairi froze, not liking the way Carter had decided to stay silent.

 

Sora cautiously let his eyes move, turning his head slightly when he heard Roxas' grunt. His eyes widned when he saw the situation, his friend at gunpoint. He angrilly glared at the man in black.

Smith noticed Sora staring at him, but he kept his eyes on Roxas. "Wasn't expecting that, were you? You filthy Nobody." He put his knife back in its spot, still keeping the gun pointed at Roxas.

Namine's eyes widened again when she looked past Sora, seeing Roxas on the ground. She instinctively wanted to run to him, but her legs were locked in place.

 

Roxas ground his teeth together at the man's words. He'd be sure to get his revenge.

Carter took this moment to his advantage, and quickly made his way to Kairi.

Kairi's eyes widened at the fast movement and she gasped in fear, pushing Namine out of the way for safety.

Carter grasped Kairi's hands swiftly and pulled them behind her back as he stood behind her, putting his gun to her head. He held her hands tightly so she couldn't get away.

 

Namine gasped when she felt Kairi slip her hand out of hers and push her a few feet away, further from the man in white. She leaned against the kitchen counter, eyes wide as she looked at the man and Kairi.

Sora's eyes widened at the sound of the gasp, and he knew he had made a mistake. He quickly turned his head, his eyes falling on Kairi. He felt panic appear in his eyes as he stared helplessly at her and her captor, unable to make a move without putting Kairi at risk.

Smith turned his eyes for one brief moment, grinning slightly at the change of scenery before looking back at Roxas, not lowering his defense.

 

"Do you doubt our motives now?" Carter questioned Sora, holding the gun at Kairi's head.

Kairi sucked in a breath and tensed, stiffening in fear.

 

Sora made a soft sound of disgust, gripping his Keyblade more tightly as he glared at the man. This man clearly had more speed than he had thought, and because Sora underestimated him, things weren't looking too good now. But wait...the man had said Kairi was valuable to them. Surely he wouldn't shoot her. That couldn't possibly happen...

 

Carter looked down at Kairi and then at Sora. "Stand down now...or she dies."

Kairi squeezed her eyes shut in fear when Carter grasped her hands tighter and at his words.

 

"...You wouldn't kill her," Sora said hesitantly, keeping his Keyblade at his side as he stared at the man. No, of course they wouldn't. They had said earlier that she was important to them, and if they wanted her dead, they would have killed her already. It was a bluff.

 

"I wouldn't?" Carter smirked slightly. "When I said she was important to us, Keyblade master, I wasn't only talking about her. We also need a few of her friends like her. I didn't specifically say it was Kairi that we needed." He shrugged slightly, but kept his grip on her tight. "But, you know, I'm sure one less Princess of Heart wouldn't be that much of a risk to our reward."

Kairi opened her eyes at his words, her eyes widening in fear.

 

Sora felt his eyes widen slightly, taking the man's words into account. What he said just now was true, and Sora knew that. His eyes met Kairi's and he felt her fear, seeing the panic in her eyes. He knew that he only had one choice, and he had to act now before anyone got hurt. He lowered his eyes to the floor in frustration and desummoned his Keyblade, the weapon disapearing in a shimmering of bright light.

Smith grinned at Roxas, listening to the conversation. They were much closer to getting what they wanted now, thanks to the change in circumstances. Now they only had to worry about Sora...and as much as he didn't like to admit it, Roxas. The blond had proved to be more of a challenge than he expected, and now action would need to be taken to stop the two boys.

 

Kairi felt her heart breaking. Sora had no choice; either he backed down and let them take her away or...she died. Kairi kept her gaze on Sora as Carter started to move her forward.

Carter kept his gun at Kairi's head, despite that Sora had desummoned the Keyblade. He moved forward a few steps, his grip around her hands still tight. "Smith," he called. They needed to leave now that they had their trinket.

Roxas heard the conversation and knew that he had to desummon his Keyblades as well. In two flashes of light, the keyblades disappeared as he glared up at Smith.

 

Sora clenched his fist in anger, helplessly staring at the man as he moved with Kairi. He saw no chance to take her away without putting her at risk, and he knew the man was very fast.

Smith kept his gun pointed at Roxas as he lifted his gaze to Carter, nodding slightly when he met his gaze. He moved around Roxas slightly, though still close enough to lodge a bullet in the kid's brain if it came to that.

 

Carter started to make his way past Sora, pushing Kairi along.

Kairi looked at Sora as they made their way around him, slowing her pace a little. She winced when she felt Carter shove her, his grip on her hands hurting her with every passing minute. She turned her head and glared up at him as they walked by.

Roxas stayed put, not moving to ensure Kairi's safety. He flexed his jaw in agitation.

Sora sadly met Kairi's eyes, desperation and anger showing in his eyes. He hated to see Kairi being taken away like this, and he could tell that Carter was holding onto her very tightly. Whoever this man was, he was skilled at kidnapping innocent girls.

Namine brought a hand to her mouth and bit her lip in fear, watching helplessly as they took Kairi away. She desperatly wanted to step in and help somehow, but she knew she wasn't in a position to do that.

Smith let his eyes fall on Kairi, keeping his gun on Roxas. He highly doubt he would get any fight now; the Princess was clearly important to all of them.

 

Carter turned a little, making sure to keep his eyes on Sora as they started to exit the room, making Kairi walk sideways a little. He needed to reach into his pocket and grab the keys to the van, and they needed to round up the rest of the men.

Kairi lowered her gaze to the floor, watching her feet as she was forced to step to the side. Her eyes caught Roxas a few feet away, who was forced on the ground and also held at gunpoint.

Roxas flitted his eyes and saw Kairi and Carter walking his way, but he didn't move, knowing Smith still had a gun to his head.

Once Kairi and Carter were further away from the others, Smith pulled back his gun slightly, taking a few steps to follow behind the two. He kept his gun in hand just in case anything happened, though he didn't expect anything.

Sora lowered his eyes to the floor and shut his eyes, thinking deeply. How could things have gone so wrong? How can I let them take Kairi like this? I can't let them get away! He thought desperatly, his thoughts born of panic, not reason. He needed to pull himself together if they were going to save Kairi. Patience was very important.

 

Once out in the hall, Carter lowered his gun and put it back in place. He kept his grip on Kairi as he quickly pushed her along. "Let's go, boys!" he called. A few seconds after, he saw his men leaving the living room.

Kairi felt her heart thudding against her chest, fear and sadness, as well as confusion running through her. Why was this happening? What did these people want? She began to struggle a little, Carter's grip hurting her.

 

Smith switched the direction of his gun, keeping it locked on Kairi when he saw Carter put away his gun.

Sora shook his head slightly, letting out a breath in frustration. There had to be some way to save her...

Namine let her saddened eyes fall on Sora, and she could see by his stance that he was fighting hard not to let his emotions make him do anything irrational.

 

One of the other tall and muscular men stopped in front of Carter, and he handed Kairi off to him roughly. The man started to pick her up.

Kairi let out a cry as she got thrown over the man's shoulder and they all started rushing out of the house. She started struggling against him now, kicking and hitting his back with her fist.

"Let's go!" Carter ordered, all of the men rushing out of the house. They needed to leave quickly before Sora decided to change his mind and come after them.

 

Smith ran to the front of the pack, running out the door and across the sidewalk. He made it to the van before any of the other men and quickly opened the back doors, seeing them coming with their hostage.

Sora felt one tear slide down his cheek at the sound of Kairi's cry, but he couldn't risk moving. The risk was too great for Kairi if he made one false move.
