KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Carter ground his teeth together when the princess and her friend made it out of the room. He fired a few more shots at the blond boy before grunting as he ran off after them.

Roxas deflected the shots and they went in different directions. A few thoughts ran through his mind all at once. When the men came in, the leader only looked at Kairi. But why?! And what do they want in the first place?! We haven't done anything; none of us have! But the leader, and the other men... Their main priorities seem to be Sora, but they're also focused on Kairi. But what for? One of the men chucked a knife at Roxas and he blocked the attack. He saw the leader of the group run out of the room...after the girls!

Kairi felt her heart thud in her chest, pure adrenaline running through her body. What do they want? she thought as she gripped Namine's hand tightly. They were in the kitchen, away from a majority of the chaos. But what was going on?

 

Smith furrowed his brows in anger, glaring at the boy. The rumors he had heard about the Keyblade bearer were definitly true; Sora wasn't going to give in without a fight. The pathetic boy didn't even know what they wanted and yet he was acting as if he had something to fight for. He grimaced slightly; perhaps the mission would be even more dificult than they had thought. He growled and suddenly pulled a knife out of his belt, leaping forward to tackle Sora.

Sora furiously stared at the man, wondering who in the world would break into his house...and why. And how did they know about the Keyblade?! Well, whatever was going on, he didn't like it. He was slightly surprised when the man lunged at him, but not completely off guard. He swung his keyblade and knocked the man hard in the gut.

Namine's eyes darted as she listen to the noise of battle, her hand still gripping Kairi's tightly. Where exactly were they supposed to go? Surely they couldn't go too far away from the boys; that would be more dangerous! They should probably stay close enough that if there was a problem, Roxas or Sora could help them.

 

"Hey!" Roxas hollered at the leading man who left the room. He didn't like the feeling in his stomach, and now that the man was going after both Namine and Kairi, he was scared for their safety.

Carter was oblivious to the call as he ran toward the kitchen, his handgun still in his grasp. If he was forced to shoot someone who interfered with his goal, which was to get the Princess, he would. He ran down the hall toward the kitchen after the Princess.

Kairi looked around at the battle noises, her eyes falling on the doorway that led toward the living room and hallway. Her eyes caught a shadow from the light moving down the hall, and she hoped it was one of the boys.

 

Smith stepped back in surprise, grabbing his stomach in pain. He growled angrilly and looked up just in time to see Sora charging at him again, the teen slashing his keyblade into his stomach. He groaned in pain, holding his knife loosely at his side as he looked up at the brat through his dark shades. He had to admit, Sora was a good fighter. He seemed pretty battle smart despite his young age. He cried out in surprise when he felt the knife being knocked out of his hand by a silver Keyblade.

Sora looked at the man with hatred as he backed away, holding up his keyblade. He looked around and saw a shadow in the hallway. He let out a frustrated sigh and ran into the hall, figuring that it was either the girls or one of the henchmen.

Namine looked over and caught Kairi's gaze, her eyes wandering to the doorway as well.

 

Carter turned the corner and ran into the kitchen, coming to a halt when he saw the girls in the middle of the room. A smirk appeared on his face as he looked at the redhead behind his shades.

Kairi's eyes widened at the appearance of one of the mysterious men, but then her eyebrows furrowed as she glared at the man and his smirk that he constantly wore on his face whenever he saw her. She gripped Namine's hand with one hand and had her other hand out slightly at her side.

Roxas swung his keyblades, knocking one of the henchmen that charged at him. But he had his back turned to another, and he felt a sharp stinging pain along his arm and he winced. He glanced at his arm, seeing blood ooze from the wound. He let out a growl and swung Oblivion at the man, knocking him to the ground. He turned his attention to the other side of the room, catching a blur of Sora racing out of the room. The girls...

 

Namine's eyes widened slightly in surprise when she saw the man appear, with that smirk on his face again. She didn't understand...what exactly did he want? Why was he looking at Kairi that way. Namine furrowed her brows in anger, her hand tightly holding onto Kairi's as she glared at the man.

Sora followed the way that the shadow had gone, and then turned into the kitchen himself, standing behind the man with his Keyblade in hand. "Get away from them." He ordered harshly before wincing, feeling a hard blow on the back of his head. He grunted softly and fell to one knee, his eyes turning around and seeing Smith.

Smith grinned at the boy's pain, getting his revenge. He held onto his gun and hit the boy in the side of the head again, the blow causing the teen to shut his eyes tightly to block out the pain.

 

"Sora!" Kairi gasped when she saw him get hit. She hated to see him hurt, which she had seen too many times. The redhead looked back up at the man in the white t-shirt, who seemed to be the leader. "What do you want?!" she demanded, her eyebrows furrowed angrily.

Carter took a few steps toward the girl. "Ah...Miss Kairi," he said with a small smile. "It's about time we got to meet you."

Kairi blinked in shock. "You know my name?" she asked in disbelief. Who were these people?

Roxas ran out of the living room and down the hall.

 

Sora growled in anger, losing the advantage he had because of this man in black. He angrilly kicked his foot back, hitting the man in the shin. He quickly hopped up on both feet before making a high kick, bringing his foot to the side of Smith's face. He watched as Smith toppled to the ground, his body reacting to the strong blows.

Namine's eyes widened slightly as she stood there, looking at the man in surprise. How did they know who Kairi was...and Sora, for that matter? What exactly did these people want?

 

Roxas ran through the hall and skidded to a halt when he saw the action going on. He caught sight of the man in black on the ground and held Oathkeeper out in front of him, pointing it at the man. "Don't move," he ordered harshly.

Carter was interrupted by the physical attacks to his partner. He pulled out his gun and pointed it at Sora, though he continued talking. "Yes. You're a truly unique Princess of Heart," he stated, flitting his eyes over to her before flitting them back to Sora.

Kairi's eyes widened. They knew about her being a Princess of Heart... But...but how?!

 

Namine kept her surprised gaze on the man in white, wondering what exactly was going on. How did they know so much about Kairi?!

Smith furrowed his brows in anger, shifting slightly as he propped himself up with his elbows. "You think I'm really afraid of you?" He sneered, his eyes piercing at Roxas through his black glasses.

Sora turned back around, the action momentarilly distracting him from the conversation. He exhaled through his nose in surprise when he saw the man staring at him now, the gun pointed at him. Still, he wasn't afraid; he had faced much worse before. "Whatever you want with her, you're not going to get it." Sora stated, holding his Keyblade at his right side as he glared at the man. "If you care about this guy here," Sora motioned with his head to Smith, who was still under Roxas' blade, "...then you better leave."

 

Roxas smirked. "You should be." He'd gone through so much that he was sure this man had no idea of.

Carter smirked at the boy's words. "Do you really want to test me, Keyblade Bearer?"

Kairi noticed how close the man had managed to get to her, about ten to twelve feet away from her and Namine. She slowly took a step back, holding Namine's hand tightly.

 

"You really want to test me?" Sora questioned in return, gripping his keyblade tightly in anger. He didn't like that Kairi seemed to be the target here, and he was clueless as to why. Sure, she was a Princess of Heart, but what would they want her for? And why?

Namine slowly followed Kairi's lead, taking a step back herself as quietly as she could.

Smith smirked in return, his words harsh. "Heh, yeah right. You're just a nobody, destined to fade into the darkness! You'll never suceed at anything you do...ever."

 

Carter kept the gun pointed at Sora. "You may be the Keyblade master, and you may be an important part to the worlds' safety. But you see, you're not the one we're here for." He turned his eyes to Kairi, looking at her through his glasses. "The Princess...she's very valuable to us."

Kairi kept her eyebrows furrowed as she glared at the man. Her eyes flitted to Sora's for a brief second before going back to the man in the white shirt.

"Shut up!" Roxas ordered, pushing his blade closer to Smith. These men knew too much.

 

"What's that supposed to mean?" Sora questioned, his worst fears true. He wished that he was their main target instead of Kairi; it would have helped him worry much less. He gripped his Keyblade tightly, prepared to defend himself at any second.

Namine flitted her eyes to Sora for a moment, hearing Roxas' stern voice behind him. She didn't know exactly what was going on, and she was worried.

Smith laughed, smirking up at the boy. "Face it, underneath this appearance, you're just a frightened little nobody, whose given up hope of ever actually being somebody. And for good reason too; nobodies can never become somebodies."

Carter flitted his gaze back to Sora. "Without her, we won't be able to get what we want, which is very important to us," he explained.

Roxas blinked in shock at his words. But then he narrowed them, pushing the tip of Oathkeeper under Smith's chin. "You're wrong. Nobodies like me are only half a person, and we're not meant to fade back into Darkness. I'm still here, aren't I? And despite what you might say, I've found happiness. And I'm not going to let anyone by the likes of you take it away from me!"

OOC: Okay.

 

Sora furrowed his brows in anger, the answer catching him slightly off guard. "Well, you're not getting her. Not a chance."

Smith chuckled at the boy's words, laughing at the statement. "Yeah, right. You believe what you want, but that doesn't change a thing. You...and your girlfriend over there are going to fade into Oblivion, and I'll be back here laughing at you."

 

"That's it!" Roxas lifted Oathkeeper, truly angry now. He started to swing it down on Smith.

Carter smirked, and then caught movement out of the corner of his eye. He turned the gun to Roxas a few feet behind Sora and fired a few bullets.

Kairi's eyes widened when shots were fired at Roxas.

 

Smith smirked up at Roxas, not taking any action against the teen. His end would come with these bullets, and if that didn't kill him, Smith would gladly finish the job. Capturing the Princess came with a few perks after all. He heard a few silenced bullets fired rapidly, and he knew where they were headed.

"No!" Namine cried out in fear, seeing the bullets head straight for Roxas. Her eyes widened and she felt tears appear as she watched helplessly.

Sora's eyes widened slightly at the shots fired and brought up his keyblade, quickly defending Roxas and sending the bullets in the other direction. Most went into the ceiling, but one strayed and landed by Carter's feet.

 

Roxas paused when he heard Namine's cry, his eyes widening and his ears picking up a few bullets bouncing off Sora's keyblade. His keyblade stopped right in front of Smith's face.

Carter smirked at Sora's quick reactions. "I see you're more persistent than I thought. But no matter what you do, we're still going to get the Princess."

Kairi's muscles had tensed at the action that took place and she grasped Namine's hand tightly at her outcry. She relaxed a little when the bullets had changed direction and Roxas was safe from them, but the tension in the room was still strong. And all of this talk about her was making her fearful and nervous, but she stayed strong, her eyebrows furrowed as she glared at the men.

 

Smith smirked and pulled out his knife, swinging it at Roxas' keyblade and getting it out of his face. He kicked at Roxas' legs before scrambling to his feet, the knife in one hand and his gun in the other, pointing at Roxas.

"You'll never take Kairi away," Sora said angrilly, not taking his eyes off the man as he lowed his Keyblade. "Not while I'm around."

Namine let out a breath in relief when she saw Sora protect Roxas, the bullets diverted to either the ceiling of the floor. That was much too close for comfort. Still, it wasn't over. The situation was still very dangerous...and intense.
