KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Kairi flitted her eyes up in surprise at the voice, a little startled because she had gotten used to the silence. She smiled softly when she saw Namine looking at her. "Hi," she greeted back quietly.

 

Namine smiled softly, not meaning to startle her friend. "How are things?" She asked softly, still a little groggy from her long nap.

 

Kairi's eyes immediatly shifted up to Sora's sleeping face. She looked at him for a moment and then flitted her eyes back to Namine. "They're okay," she replied softly, though she knew they could be better.

 

"Yeah?" Namine spoke softly, keeping her eyes on Kairi and Sora. She noticed that Sora's cheeks will still a little pink, despite the fact that he was getting his rest. Her eyes softened as she looked at the sleeping boy, wondering exactly how he was feeling.

 

Kairi nibbled on her lip a little, lowering her gaze for a moment. She shifted her eyes to Namine, noticing the look in her friend's eyes when she looked at Sora. Kairi knew that Namine could clearly tell that Sora wasn't looking or feeling his best.

 

Namine shifted her gaze slightly, looking at Kairi now. She noticed the sad look on her face and was immediatly concerned. "You okay?" She asked softly, knowing that the situation was pretty stressful on Kairi.

 

Kairi nibbled on her lip a little. "I just don't think it's fair--all the hardships he has to go through," Kairi explained quietly, looking up at Sora midsentence.

 

Sora exhaled softly in his sleep, a calm look on his face despite how awful he felt.

"Mmm," Namine gave her friend a sympethetic look, expecting Kairi to feel that way. Sora had it pretty rough these past few months....more rough than Namine had thought possible. All the hardships that he had gone through were unbelievable.

 

Kairi pressed her lips together as she looked at the boy she loved so dearly. She saw the pink tint of his cheeks, having a feeling he was still running a fever. Kairi hoped that sleep would help him, and turned her gaze away from him.

 

Namine flitted her eyes to the floor, noticing the concern that shone in Kairi's eyes. It was clear that she really loved Sora.

 

Kairi flitted her eyes to her best friend again. "How about you? Everything okay?" she asked softly, wondering how the other two were doing.

 

Namine offered her friend a small smile and a nod. "Yeah. I think we're both doing okay," she answered, her eyes wandering up to Roxas' sleeping face.

 

"That's good," Kairi said honestly, a faint smile on her face. She was glad things were going well for her two friends.

Roxas inhaled softly, his chest rising with the air that entered his lungs.

 

"Is Sora sick?" Namine asked softly, her eyes falling on the sleeping boy again.

 

Kairi's smile faded, her expression changing into one of sadness. She looked at Sora's sleeping face for a brief moment before looking back at Namine. She looked at her for a few seconds before nodding slowly.

 

Namine frowned slightly at Kairi's saddened expression, wishing she hadn't brought up that subject. Poor Kairi; poor Sora...

 

Kairi bit her lip a little, turning her gaze to her knees in front of her chest. She didn't know what to say, mainly because she didn't know how things were going to work out.

 

Sora inhaled in his sleep, his head turning slightly. His cheek rest into the side of the couch as his closed eyes faced in Kairi's direction.

 

Kairi caught something shining out of the corner of her eye and flitted her eyes over, catching Sora's silver ring shining in the light that peeked through the shades of the window. She immediately looked down at the necklace around her neck, bringing her hand up and running her fingers over the golden heart.

 

Sora exhaled softly in his sleep, his spikey hair hanging down in his eyes as he slept.
