KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Kairi's smile grew a little as she approached the table. "Thanks," she said softly as she sat down in the chair he had pulled out for her.

 

"Sure," Sora responded quietly, a faint smile on his lips as he watched Kairi sit down. He took his hands off the back of the chair and took a few steps toward another chair, sitting himself down across from Kairi.

 

Kairi picked up her fork next to her plate and reached forward to the plate of pancakes in the middle of the table, poking her fork into two of them and bringing them to her plate.

OOC: Would you want to skip the whole eating process, or do you have something planned?

 

After Kairi had taken her food, Sora took two pancakes for himself.

OOC: I have nothing planned, so that sounds good. xD And you can lead. =D

 

OOC: Okey dokey. =)

Kairi took the last bite of her pancakes, chewing the fluffy food covered in syrup and butter. The meal had definitely satisfied her and caused her to become full after she swallowed that last bite. She placed her fork down on her plate and reached for her glass of orange juice, which was almost gone.

 

Sora lifted up his glass of orange juice and drank the last few sips before setting it back down, his eyes looking over his empty plate. He had been hungrier than he thought, and the meal had been extremely satisfying. He exhaled softly and leaned back in his chair.

 

Kairi brought the glass to her lips and drank the last of the juice before setting her glass down. Both of them had finished the leftover pancakes Roxas and Namine had made, and she was full.

 

Sora looked down at his plate for a moment, thinking. The food had been delicious, but now the pancakes felt heavy in his stomach. He exhaled quietly, his stomach feeling upset. He hadn't even eaten that much; normally he would have eaten more than he had. He could only blame his cold for the sick feeling he had.

 

Kairi leaned back in her chair and looked down at her empty plate, knowing how hungry she had been and how fast she had seemed to eat her food.

 

Sora leaned forward and grabbed his silverware, setting it on his plate. He picked up his plate in one hand and his glass in the other as he rose to his feet, taking it and putting it in the sink to be washed.

 

Kairi looked up at the movement, trailing Sora with her violet-blue orbs before flitting her eyes to her own plate. She followed his lead, grabbing her plate and glass and standing up. She walked up next to him, plate and glass in hand.

 

Sora placed the dining ware into the sink and took a step to the side when he noticed Kairi doing the same, his eyes following her actions.

 

Kairi gently set the dirty dishes in the sink so they could be washed.

 

Sora exhaled softly and shifted his gaze to Kairi, wondering exactly what they should do next. They had seen a movie yesterday, and he doubt they would watch another today. And he knew that he wasn't up to going anywhere after the craziness of that morning and yesterday.

 

Kairi brought her hands back to her sides, feeling a set of eyes on her. She flitted her eyes up and saw Sora's piercing blue orbs looking into her own violet-blue.

 

Sora exhaled through his nose as he gazed at Kairi, still thinking. There wasn't much they could do inside of his house except sit around and watch TV, but he didn't want to do that. He wanted to do something to help Kairi get more comfortable...and something that would make her smile again without restraint. He recognized that she was still worried about him, concern obvious in her eyes.

 

Kairi kept her eyes locked with Sora's, silently wondering what he was thinking at that moment.

 

Sora let his eyes fall to the floor for a moment, the silence in the room a little awkward.

 

"Everything all right?" Kairi asked softly, breaking through the silence. She put her hands behind her back, getting into the stance she had when she was fourteen.

 

Sora lifted his eyes back to Kairi, giving her a weak smile. "Just wondering how we can spend the rest of the day," he answered quietly, ignoring his nagging headache and upset stomach.
