KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Kairi didn't shift her gaze, her eyes staying glued to his. She didn't really know how to respond to that, or how to think about it either. All the redhead could do was nod.

OOC: Gotta go. I'll try to be back later!

 

"It's okay, though." Sora quietly reassured her, his eyes staying connected with hers. "Trust me; it's okay." He repeated, not wanting to make Kairi worried and feeling guilty.

OOC: Okay, bye!

 

Kairi nodded again. "Okay," she said softly, though she didn't like things to be hard on Sora. It seemed as if that was all his life was anymore--tough and something he had to fight for. Kairi didn't think it was fair, and found it terrible that he had to suffer through so much within just a couple months. But if Sora had to suffer, she wouldn't let him go through it alone; Kairi would be there with him every step of the way. She loved him more than anyone else, in a way truly different from anybody else, and being by his side was the only place she wanted to be.

 

Sora smiled weakly at Kairi and lifted his chin slightly as he planted a light kiss on her forehead, just comforting her in a small, tiny way. He knew that she still wasn't comfortable with everything that had happened, because he wasn't comfortable with it either. Their hearts were connected, and a lot of times, they felt the same emotions. He exhaled softly through his nose as he returned to his previous position, his eyes still on Kairi. He loved her so much...and he would make sure to put his emotions behind him for her sake as much as his.

 

Kairi felt a small smile appear on her lips at his loving and caring gesture as she gazed at him. Just Sora's presence made Kairi a little more at ease, but the kiss helped a little as well, though she was still concerned for his health.

 

Sora smiled softly at Kairi, his eyes staying connected with Kairi's as they stood in the kitchen. He loved seeing her smile, even if it was a small one like the one she had on her lips at that moment.

 

Kairi's small smile stayed on her lips as she gazed into Sora's piercing blue eyes, letting the silence engulf the room.

 

"Why don't I make us breakfast?" Sora suggested softly, breaking through the silence as he spoke to Kairi. He wasn't as hungry as he thought he should have been, and that was probably because he was sick. Oh well, he had to get something in his stomach, and maybe it would help him feel better too.

 

Kairi nodded slightly. "Sure," she agreed softly. Now that she thought of it, she was pretty hungry.

 

Sora nodded slightly in response, a small smile staying on his lips as he turned and faced the cabinate. "I think I have some pancake mix here somewhere..." Sora said, bringing up both of his hands to shuffle through some of the boxes he had in there. Strange; he could have sworn he had some. Where could it have gone...?

 

Kairi watched Sora rummage through the cabinates for a moment. She and Sora had been asleep for a while, Kairi guessed, and that left their two blonde friends up and free to move around in Sora's home. They had to eat as well, she knew for sure. Maybe they had some earlier this morning?

 

"Hmm," Sora shut the doors with his hands, unable to find the pancake mix. Ah, oh well, they'd have to find something else to eat. He exhaled softly and started toward the fridge. He stopped in front of it and opened up the door, his eyes catching onto a stack of already made pancakes on one of the lower shelves. A look of amusement appeared on his lips as he realized what had happened.

 

Kairi trailed Sora with her eyes, not really caring what they ate. As long as she had some food, she was happy.

 

Sora lowered himself slightly as he reached in and pulled out the pancakes, noticing that there were quite a few on that plate already. He was relieved; now they could eat breakfast much sooner. Sora lifted himself up again and held the plate in one hand, using his left hand to close the refrigerator door. He turned his head and faced Kairi, still slightly amused that Roxas and Namine had found the pancake mix. "Looks like someone beat us to it," he said before he gave her a small wink.

 

Kairi let out a few chuckles and realized her guess had been right. Roxas and Namine must've been hungry too.

 

Sora smiled at Kairi for a second before turning around, removing the plastic wrap before sticking the plate in the microwave. He set the timer and shut the door, starting to make the pancakes. He stood there for a brief second before heading back toward the fridge, taking out some butter and syrup.

 

Kairi leaned back against the counter as she watched Sora make his way around the kitchen, waiting patiently for the pancakes.

 

Sora set the two items on the table before heading over to the other side of the kitchen, taking out plates and silverware for them to use. He sat them on the table and then got two cups of orange juice, sitting them down just in time, hearing the microwave beep as the pancakes finished. He walked over and pulled the plate out, heading back toward the table and setting the plate down in the middle of the everything.

 

Kairi felt herself smile slightly at how fast Sora had gotten things done, but also at how good the pancakes smelled. She had eaten in hours, and she was really hungry.

 

Sora pulled out a chair for Kairi and politely waited for her to sit down before he did.
