KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Kairi let her hand fall on the pillow as she sighed softly, closing her eyes again.

 

Sora exhaled softly and put both of his hands back on the bed on either side of him, pushing himself up. He was relieved when he didn't feel dizzy when he was fully upright. Apparently getting some rest did help him feel a little better, though he couldn't tell with anything else. He still felt very warm.

 

Kairi kept her eyes closed for a moment as she started thinking. She wondered what everyone else was doing, and how they were feeling...especially Sora.

 

Sora exhaled softly and walked forward two or three steps before turning around and facing the other way, letting his back lean against the wall as he let his head hang slightly. He shut his eyes partway, feeling weak from sickness and grogginess.

 

The last time Kairi had seen Sora he hadn't looked so good, and she hoped he was feeling better. She didn't know what happened to him after she left and came here to fall asleep.

 

Sora brought a hand to his forehead, immediatly noticing that it was slightly damp with sweat and warmer than usual. He exhaled quietly and pushed himself off the wall, standing on his own again.

 

And Roxas and Namine... Had they gone home? Or were they still here? Kairi wanted to check, but her grogginess held her in the bed.

 

Sora bit his lip lightly and let his eyes stay on the floor as he turned his body and walked a few steps before exiting the room. He made a right turn out the door and walked through the hall, the floor creaking slightly as he walked past his bedroom and into the bathroom, leaving the door open behind him. He silently opened the medicine cabinate and looked for something that would make him feel better.

 

The creaking of the hallway floor told Kairi that she wasn't the only one awake, and she silently wondered who was moving around. She pushed herself up into a sitting position in the bed, putting her elbows on her covered knees as she put her hands in her hair and tried to wake herself up.

 

Sora reached up and grabbed a bottle of medicine, hoping that it would help him feel more like his normal self. He swallowed hard when he felt a tickle in his throat, and before he knew it, he was coughing. He shut his eyes tightly and brought up his arm to cover his mouth, trying to mute the sound of his coughing.

 

Kairi turned her head slightly, looking toward the door that she had closed halfway earlier this morning. She couldn't see who it was, but she had a feeling that it was Sora.

 

Sora took control of his coughing and set his free hand on the counter in front of him, his eyes tightly shut as he softly caught his breath.

 

Kairi felt herself relax a little when his coughing came to a stop, slightly surprised to find that she had tensed up when he had been coughing.

 

Sora exhaled softly and shook his head slightly, relieved that the coughing had stopped. He really hadn't been expecting that at all. Maybe it was because his throat was dry...? No, he knew it was because he was sick. He sighed softly and opened the bottle, pouring two pills into his hand before shutting the bottle and putting it back in its previous spot.

 

Kairi shifted her gaze from the door to her knees that were covered by the comforter on Sora's bed. She ran one of her hands through her red hair, her red locks parting naturally to the right.

 

Sora wrapped his hand around the pills as he opened his eyes, noticing that he couldn't swallow the pills without water this time. He let out a breath and turned himself toward the door, walking through the doorway and into the hall as he headed toward the kitchen.

 

Kairi let breathed a soft sigh, her eyes shifting to the window. She wondered what time it was, considering the sun was on this side of the house. She guessed that it had to be some time after noon, knowing she'd fallen asleep pretty late in the morning.

 

Sora entered the kitchen and set the pills on the counter as he opened up some cabinate doors, reaching in and pulling out a cup before softly closing them again. He walked over to the sink and filled the cup with water, a few soft coughs escaping his lips.

 

Kairi figured she shouldn't waste the rest of the day in bed, especially one that wasn't hers. She grabbed the covers and swung them away from her form as she placed her feet on the floor. She felt one pant leg fall down from her knee to her feet from being scrunched up in her sleep.

 

Sora swallowed the pills and drank his water right after that, feeling relief from the cold water running over his sore throat. After he had enough water, he let out a soft sigh and set down the glass, his eyes gazing downward as he stood still.
