KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Roxas nodded. "We'll be fine. Don't worry about us," he insisted. Sometimes a person had to put themselves before others, and this was what Sora needed to do.

 

Namine nodded in agreement, knowing that they would be just fine on their own for a few hours.

Sora would have asked more questions, like if he could at least make them breakfast, but something in Roxas' voice silenced him. He wasn't harsh or anything...he just sounded very serious.

 

Roxas offered him a small smile. "Go and get some rest, okay?"

 

Sora weakly returned his friend's smile before he answered. "Okay," he responded softly, forcing himself to move toward the doorway and closer to the bedroom.

 

Roxas kept his smile on his face as he trailed Sora with his eyes, feeling a little sad that his friend had to go through so much.

 

"Don't let me sleep all day though, okay?" Sora requested, his walk slowing slightly after he passed by Roxas and turned his head as he stood in the hallway.

 

Roxas hesitated. He didn't want to wake Sora up when he was actually getting the needed sleep; he needed to feel better, and Roxas didn't know if waking him up halfway through the slumber would be a good idea. But he figured that Sora needed to eat as well, and that it was important to have food in his stomach. Roxas met Sora's eyes and nodded. "You got it."

 

Sora nodded slightly in response, grateful that Roxas had agreed. He smiled faintly at his friend before continuing down the hall, heading toward the guest bedroom.

 

Roxas watched Sora from his spot against the doorway before looking forward. He pushed himself off the doorway and made his way forward.

 

Sora exhaled softly and turned right, into the bedroom. He shut the door almost completely and made his way to the bed. He slowly laid himself down, his head feeling heavy as he let it rest on the pillows.

When Sora disapeared, Namine flitted her eyes to Roxas, watchimg him.

 

Roxas approached the couch and sat down next to Namine, laying his head against the back of the couch and sighing.

 

Sora slowly let his eyelids fall, his body relaxing into the bed. He hadn't even pulled up the covers, but he didn't care about that now. He was burning up, anyway, despite the shivers every once in a while. He exhaled softly and turned his head on the pillow, his eyes completely shut as he let himself fade out of conciousness.

Namine leaned back against the sofa next to Roxas, her eyes staying on him as she watched him with gentle blue eyes.

 

Roxas closed his eyes for a moment, taking in a breath as he relaxed.

 

Namine smiled softly at Roxas before her soft voice broke through the silence. "Do you think he's alright?" She asked softly, gazing lightly at him.

 

Roxas opened his eyes and turned his head, which stayed against the back of the couch. He gazed into her soft light blue eyes, not really knowing how to answer. Sora wasn't in the best shape, as far as he could tell... Roxas took in a breath and kept his gaze on her. "He will be," he replied softly.

 

Namine held Roxas' gaze for a moment, trying to understand exactly what he meant by those words. Did that mean that Sora wasn't okay now? What exactly was wrong? Was he upset about something? Was he sick? Namine chased away the thoughts, knowing that they wouldn't get answered whether she dwelled on those thoughts or not. "How about you?" She asked softly, not shifting her gaze from his.

 

Roxas nodded slightly. "I'm fine, Nami," he said softly as he offered her a small smile, his eyes never leaving hers.

 

Namine smiled softly, her eyes searching Roxas' as she held his gaze. As far as she could tell, that was true. She could tell that his eyes were a little brighter than they had been yesterday, and she was glad for that.

 

Roxas kept his eyes on hers as he reached for her hand, twining his fingers with hers.

 

Namine smiled softly at Roxas and let her head touch the back on the couch, her eyes gently gazing at him as she relaxed at the loving touch.
