KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Roxas looked up at the voices, his eyes re-focusing. He flitted his eyes to the two of them, biting his lip a little.

 

"Mm," Namine responded softly, folding her hands in her lap and shifting her gaze to them, letting silence fill the room again.

 

"You want some medicine?" Roxas asked, speaking for the first time in a few minutes. His eyes flitted to Sora as he leaned against the doorway, his arms still crossed.

 

Sora lifted his eyes to Roxas, hearing the teen's voice coming from the doorway. "I took some earlier this morning," he told his friend. Let's see...he had gotten up around 5 AM, and he had no idea what time it was at that moment. So he didn't know when he could take more. Either way, it didn't seem to be helping him too much now.

 

"Maybe you need to rest," Roxas suggested, seeing the tiredess in his friend's eyes. If medicine wasn't helping, maybe a little sleep could help him out.

 

Sora kept his eyes on Roxas for a moment longer before gazing at the wall in front of him, not responding. Last time he had fallen asleep, he hadn't been able to take care of his friends. He didn't want that to happen again...even if he really did need the rest.

 

Roxas tilted his head to the side slightly, his eyes shining with concern. He didn't really understand...Was something wrong?

 

"...Maybe you're right," Sora admitted softly, his eyes falling down the his clasped hands as he spoke. As much as he didn't want to say it aloud, he knew that he did need the rest. He had gotten even less sleep than the others (or at least, he thought that was right), so it would make sense that he would feel extremely exhausted.

 

Roxas blinked once, nodding a little. He flitted his eyes to Namine for a moment before shifting them back to Sora.

 

Namine met Roxas' gaze for that short moment before she too turned back to Sora, who hadn't moved from his spot.

Sora exhaled softly, his half open eyes staring at his hands. He was exhausted, and he knew that he was already pushing himself by staying awake this long. Still though, he had to make sure that Roxas and Namine would be all right before he got his rest.

 

"Sora." Roxas looked at his friend, knowing he was too exhausted to stay awake.

 

"Yeah?" Sora asked, hearing Roxas speak his name from his spot. He turned his head and looked over at the blond, his eyes fully open again.

 

Roxas smiled slightly, motioning with his head toward the hallway and the bedrooms. "Go," he said simply with a small smile.

 

Sora smiled faintly in response, a few different trains of thought running through his head as he sat there. Kairi was using his bed, so he would have to use the guest room bed, unless he slept on the chair he had in his room. He did want to be close to Kairi, but he knew that if she woke up and saw him there, she would disaprove. No, the guest room was probably best. But...he still had to be sure that his friends would be okay if he wasn't around. "You guys'll be all right?" Sora asked softly, serious.

 

Roxas flitted his eyes to Namine, his small smile still on his face. He nodded.

Kairi took in a breath through her nose, letting it out softly as she lied on her side.

 

Sora flitted his eyes over to Namine, just in time to see her nod in agreement. He waited for a moment, gazing at his friend before speaking softly. "Okay," he said quietly, a faint smile on his lips as he moved his hands to the couch on either side of him, pushing himself to his feet tiredly.

Namine smiled softly at the teen, glad that he too could catch up on his rest. He appeared exhausted, and she silently wondered how long he had already been awake that day.

 

Roxas watched Sora rise to his feet, hoping his friend would feel better once he got the needed rest.

 

Sora stood upright, blinking one time when the room suddenly spun again. He shook his head slightly, knowing that if he didn't get sleep soon, he would definitly collapse.

 

Roxas looked at Sora intently, noticing his actions. Yep, sleep was definitely a necessity.

 

"You're sure you'll be okay?" Sora asked softly, turning his body as he faced Roxas. There was probably enough food around the house for them to have breakfast, but he still felt guilty that he couldn't do something himself. It was his house, after all, and even though it was under crazy circumstances, they were still his guests.
