KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Roxas scratched the back of his head as he headed toward the living room.

Kairi rested her forehead against her kneecaps, her arms wrapped around her knees that were covered by the blanket. She took in a soft breath, still a little tired but also concerned.

 

Sora lifted up his eyes as he walked through the doorway and into the living room, his eyes catching onto Kairi's red hair first. He felt his eyes shine with concern when he saw her form, wondering if she was okay.

Namine flitted her eyes over toward the doorway, seeing someone new enter the room. She immediatly noticed that she wasn't being looked at, but Kairi was.

 

Roxas followed in behind Sora, his hand falling to his side.

Kairi exhaled silently, not hearing or seeing the entrance of her friends. Her hair blocked her vision from the sides as her head was in her knees, too tired to be aware of everything.

 

Sora silently walked over to the couch and stood in front of Kairi for a moment before moving past her and sitting on the spot available to her on the couch. He gently let his eyes wander over her form as he stayed close to her side, one arm gingerly moving from his side and wrapping around her shoulders.

Namine flitted her eyes to Roxas for a moment, then watched Sora curiously, wondering what he was thinking.

 

Kairi opened her closed eyes at the touch, lifting her head. Her eyes found Sora next to her, a weak smile forming on her lips. She kept her arms around her legs as she leaned into him, her head against his shoulder and her eyes closing with the comfort his presence brought her.

 

Sora exhaled softly and tightened his half-hug around her as he lowered his head, planing a light kiss on Kairi's red hair.

 

Kairi's smile grew a little at his gesture as she exhaled softly through her nose.

Roxas watched the couple with a faint smile as he leaned against the doorway.

 

Sora pulled his head back and let it lean into the back of the couch as he closed his eyes, feeling both comfort and pain at the same time. The comfort came from Kairi, and the pain came from his headache, which had just started up again with a new kind of intensity. He felt heat rise to his cheeks as he softly exhaled through his mouth.

 

Kairi let herself rest in his arms, still drained from the day before.

 

Sora let his eyes stay shut as he wrapped his other arm around Kairi's huddled form, wanting to hold her closer. He wanted her to know that he was there...and he wanted to know that she was with him.

 

Kairi snuggled closer to Sora, letting the side of her face rest against his shirt. She took in a soft breath and opened her eyes a little as she lifted her chin, pressing her lips against his jaw.

 

Sora let his embrace around Kairi relax slightly when he felt her gentle kiss, a very faint smile appearing on his flushed face.

 

Kairi pulled her lips away slowly before resting the side of her face against his shirt again.

 

Sora exhaled softly, lowering his head as he looked down at the girl he held in his arms.

 

Kairi let her tired eyes look back into his as she stayed in his arms.

 

Sora smiled faintly when Kairi's eyes met his, immediatly noticing the exhaustion that appeared in her eyes.

 

Kairi weakly returned his smile, seeing the dimness of his eyes and catching the pink tint of his cheeks. He probably wasn't feeling so well, but despite her tiredness, she'd stay with him and try to comfort him the way he was comforting her.

 

Sora blinked softly, his eyes gazing down at Kairi as he felt her gaze pierce his eyes, unable to turn away...and not really wanting to. He trust Kairi enough to let her see whatever his eyes showed, whether it was good or bad. Of course, he didn't want to upset her, but he knew he would definitly do that if he did turn away.

 

As she gazed into his eyes, Kairi could see so many emotions stirring within them; exhaustion, comfort, weakness, fragility. But there was one emotion that she could read in the depths of his piercing blue eyes--worry. She blinked once, becoming a little more awake but still remaining exhausted.

 

Sora exhaled quietly and let his soft gaze stay on Kairi, noticing a slight difference in her eyes at that moment. He wasn't sure exactly what it was, though.
