KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Roxas watched her movements and then looked at the blanket around her shoulders. He suddenly flitted his eyes to the one over him, and then turned his head to see the one draped over Kairi's form. He hadn't thought anything of it until now, remembering that they hadn't fallen asleep with them on last night, and then woke up with them this morning. It only took Roxas a second to figure it out. Sora.

Namine exhaled softly and turned her head, slightly surprised to see that Roxas was awake.

Sora exhaled softly and pushed himself into a sitting position on the bed, the room momentarilly spinning from his dizziness. He groaned softly and shut his eyes, bringing a hand to his head.

Roxas turned his head and looked at the floor for a moment, twirling the blanket around his finger again. Then he looked up, his eyes meeting Namine's gaze.

 

Namine softly smiled at Roxas, her body turning slightly as she faced the boy she loved so dearly.

Sora bit his lip and opened his eyes as he pushed his legs off the side of the bed. He knew that it was later in the morning, or even around noon time. He figured that his friends would probably wake up at any time, and he didn't want them seeing him sick.

 

Roxas returned her smile with one of his own. "Good morning," he greeted softly. Considering it was dark in the room, he could only guess it was morning.

 

"Good morning," Namine responded quietly.

 

"Get enough rest?" Roxas asked softly, making sure not to wake the still sleeping redhead on the couch by him.

 

"Mmhmm," Namine answered softly, taking a few steps over toward Roxas. "What about you?"

 

Roxas nodded with a small smile. His sleep hadn't been the longest, but it was enough to get him through the day.

 

Namine's smile grew slightly at Roxas, relieved to know that he had gotten enough rest. She knew that yesterday had been rough on all of them, especially Roxas and Kairi. And Sora of course. She looked at Kairi on the couch and noticed that Sora had disapeared.

 

Roxas followed her gaze, his eyes falling on the girl stretched across half of the couch. He started thinking about how exhausted she must have been from her emotions taking a toll on her yesterday.

 

Namine exhaled softly, feeling bad for both Kairi and Sora. She knew that Sora had been physically hurt yesterday, and at that moment she couldn't help but wonder how he was feeling. But at the same time, it had been very hard on Kairi too, since she loved Sora so dearly. Namine knew that she loved Sora too, but not in the same way that Kairi did. Namine viewed him as a great friend, and she had no romantic feelings for him.

 

Roxas remembered back to the unfortunate moment yesterday. Kairi's shriek of terror as she screamed Sora's name entered his ears, sounding so real to him. He had only heard her scream like that once, which was back at Boston Market. But just the way she had screamed Sora's name had made him realize how scared she had been, and how much she cared for Sora.

 

Namine folded her hands in front of her and gazed down at the floor with half open eyes, recalling the events that had happened yesterday. She had been absolutely terrified to see Sora fall under the ice, and she knew that from the cries her friends had made at that moment that they had been just as scared as she was. She had heard the agony in Kairi's scream, and she knew that it was so much stronger than her cry simply because of Kairi's love for Sora.

Roxas sighed softly, trying to shake the nasty thoughts from his mind. He didn't want to think about yesterday's incident, or else the guilt would come back to him. And he didn't want any of that again.

OOC: Okay. Bye!

 

Sora shut his eyes as he sat on the edge of his bed, leaning forward as he rest his elbows on his knees. He felt terrible, which he figured was a combination of his physical and emotional stress. He put one hand up to his head and noticed how warm his cheek felt, having no doubt that his face was probably more rosy than usual.

Namine exhaled and opened her eyes again, her eyes wandering slightly.

 

Kairi took in a deep breath through her nose, starting to awaken from her slumber.

Roxas looked down at his feet blankly.

 

Namine bit her lip lightly and let her eyes fall to the ground, letting the silence continue.

 

Kairi opened her eyes, blinking a few times before closing them again. She stretched her legs out, accidentally kicking somebody at the other end of the couch. She opened her eyes, bringing her legs back in as she lifted her head to see who it was. She met Roxas' eye and smiled apologetically at him. "Oh. Sorry, Roxas," she said softly.

Roxas let out a small laugh at her groggy accident. "It's all right."

 

Namine shifted her eyes to Kairi, smiling softly at the sleepy girl. Kairi had been asleep the longest of them, so it made sense that she would be the one who felt the most groggy. It was odd...Namine figured that when you got enough sleep you wouldn't be groggy. But, unfortunatly, it didn't work like that.
