KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Kairi nodded once and smiled slightly, catching movement out of the corner of her eye. She turned her head, her eyes falling on Sora as he approached them.

Roxas' eyes found Sora's figure, which did seem to appear better. He felt a small smile come across his lips.

OOC: Well, you can if you wish, or I could do it. It doesn't matter to me.

 

Namine shifted her gaze slightly and silently watched Sora approach them, a faint smile appearing on her lips when she noticed how much better he looked than he had earlier.

A small smile appeared on Sora's face as he slowed his walk and stopped by his friends. "Hey," he greet them with a small wave, acting casual.

OOC: Today it wasn't too bad with the pages loading, but this whole problem with the posting is pretty weird. I started with it, but I didn't get it all.

 

Roxas nodded once to his friend with a small smile. "How're you feeling?" he asked.

Kairi kept her eyes on Sora while Roxas spoke, taking in his features. His hair didn't seem as wet as it had before, which was good considering his head needed to be one of the warmest parts of his body. More heat probably left his head than any other part of his body since the accident. Her eyes flitted to his, though they weren't looking at him. The color in them seemed to dim, Kairi noticing how tired he looked.

OOC: Agreed. How far did you get?

 

"Fine," Sora answered, turning his eyes toward Roxas as he spoke to his best friend. He didn't need to know how exhausted he felt or anything; Sora would just make sure that nothing bad happened for a little while. He had to reassure his friends that he was alright.

Namine smiled gently at Sora, relieved to hear his simple answer. He did look pretty good, but at the same time, something didn't quite feel right...

OOC: Not far at all. I got the last 20 posts, because that's all I could load yesterday.

 

Roxas kept his smile on his face. "That's good," he said truthfully.

Kairi remembered what he had said earlier and flitted her eyes away and to Roxas at his spoken words. Sora had made the decision and she wouldn't ask any questions.

OOC: All right. If you want me to do it as well, just say the word and let me know where you stopped. ;D

 

Sora smiled softly and nodded in agreement, his eyes staying on Roxas for a moment before he looked toward the girls, noticing a pair of blue eyes locked on him. They weren't Kairi's, like he had expected. The pair that stared at him were Namine's.

Namine gazed softly at Sora, and immediatly realized what was wrong when the boy returned her gaze; his eyes weren't as bright as they normally were, and Sora looked very exhausted. She shook away her feelings of concern and softly returned Sora's smile.

OOC: Alrighty, I'll let you know. =)

 

Roxas flitted his eyes from Sora to Namine, his smile fading a little but still there when he saw her soft smile. The blond then shifted his gaze to the redhead in the group, who appeared to be deep in thought.

But Kairi couldn't help but worry. She didn't want Sora pushing himself too far, causing something bad to happen. She had a feeling he would try to prevent anything from taking place, probably for their sake. But sometimes, people had to put themselves first before others. And Kairi had a feeling this was one of those moments.

 

Sora blinked softly and held Namine's gaze for a moment, seeing worry for a second before her eyes became more gentle. She had probably seen something in his eyes, but he refused to admit anything was wrong. He shifted his eyes back to Roxas, but he wasn't looking at him. Sora followed the blonde's gaze over to Kairi.

Namine felt Sora pull himself away, and she sensed that there was something he wasn't willing to say aloud. Oh well, as long as he was okay. She shifted her gaze to Roxas and kept a small smile on her lips.

 

Roxas noticed the girl nibbling on her bottom lip without even realizing it because she was thinking so deeply. He didn't know what was going through her mind, but he decided not to ask any questions.

Kairi was only a little aware that people were staring at her, too deep in her thoughts. Sora's safety was one of her biggest concerns, and she didn't want something worse happening in only a few minutes. True, he was feeling better, but there was this aura in the room that she thought she could only sense...

 

Sora looked down to the floor for a second and exhaled, the silence in the room both peaceful and tension-filled at the same time. Sora suddenly remembered something, and he lifted his gaze to Roxas. "How's your arm?" He asked, motioning to it slightly with his head.

His arm? Oh, that's right. He had fallen on the ice. But that wasn't serious...what it? Namine thought, keeping her eyes on Roxas.

 

Roxas flitted his eyes to Sora and then looked down at his arm. He let his hand leave Namine's as he lifted his arm to look at his elbow. Yup, just as he had thought--it was bruised.

Kairi blinked, her unfocused eyes clearing again as her gaze flitted to the people before her. She was thinking too much, and just needed to relax a little. Her eyes fell on Roxas' form, and then his elbow.

 

"You want some ice?" Sora asked, keeping his eyes on the bruise.

Namine bit her lip lightly and gazed up into Roxas' eyes. How could she have forgotten that he was hurt...?

 

Roxas stared at his bruise again, and then nodded. "Yeah," he said, his piercing blue eyes on the black and blue bruise. He had completely forgotten about it in his worry for Sora.

Kairi quit biting her lip, her eyes on the bruise. It probably hurt if he touched it, and her eyes flitted to Roxas.

 

"I'll go get some," Sora dismissed himself from the group and turned around, taking a few steps toward the kitchen and entering through a doorway in silence.

Namine bit her lip lightly and lowered her gaze to the bruise, mentally beating herself up for not remembering it sooner.

 

Roxas looked at the bruise for a moment longer before lowering his arm. He shifted his gaze to the blonde beside him, noticing her expression.

 

Namine shut her eyes halfway and gazed at the floor, saddened by the fact that Roxas was injured again.

Sora walked up to the freezer and pulled out an icepack before shutting the door again, shivering slightly when he felt the cold air hit his body. He definitly didn't want to be out in the cold again any time soon; that would bring back the painful memory. He exhaled softly and walked over to a drawer, kneeling down and pulling out a towel so the ice wouldn't be directly against Roxas' skin.

 

Roxas' eyes looked at the girl, noticing her unhappiness. "Hey," he said softly, his eyes gazing at Namine. He didn't want her to be upset; it was just a little bruising, and he'd be fine.

 

Namine perked up at the sound of her name, lifting her eyes and gazing back into Roxas' piercing blues.

Sora stood himself upright again and wrapped the towel around the icepack, heading back out to give it to Roxas.

 

Roxas gazed into her eyes. "Don't be upset. It's just a little bruise, and it'll go away in no time," he explained softly, assuring her it was okay.

Kairi heard the words exchanged in front of her as she glanced at her feet for a moment.

 

Namine smiled weakly, still feeling a little guilty about forgetting that he had hurt his arm. She turned her head when she heard footsteps approaching her direction.

"Here you go, man." Sora said, holding the icepack out in his right hand toward Roxas.
