KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Kairi felt herself smile slightly at his gesture, and moved one hand a little higher on his back before letting it rest there.

Roxas' smile faded when she looked away. Maybe he wasn't covering it up as well as he thought...

 

Sora shut his eyes lightly and exhaled, his embrace around Kairi loosening slightly as his tense muscles relaxed a little at her gentle touch.

Namine looked back up at Roxas and lifted her head slightly, planting a light kiss on the blond boy's cheek before going back to her previous position, her light blue eyes gazing up at him again.

 

He must be exhausted, Kairi thought as she stared at the wall ahead of her. Being in the cold water in such chilly weather wasn't very healthy, and could easily drag you down and stiffen your muscles. But now he seemed all right, despite the tiredess she could sense from him. She was just glad his heart hadn't failed...

Roxas felt his lips form a smile at her gentle gesture, not forcing it this time. He stared into her eyes with his own piercing blue, silently thanking her for the comfort she brought him.

 

Sora bit on his lip lightly, feeling himself fading again. The warmth and comfort that Kairi brought encouraged sleep, but at the same time, so did the cold and discomfort. He just felt exhausted in general, and he wasn't sure which one was causing him to feel so tired.

Namine felt a small smile appear on her lips when she saw Roxas gazing at her with a smile on his face. It seemed like he hadn't forced this one, like he clearly had his last one. Namine didn't want him to be fake with her, even if he was trying to put on a brave face. She just wanted him to be Roxas, simple as that.

 

Kairi moved her hand along his back again as she slowly pulled away from the embrace. She decided that keeping him standing here would only make him grow even more tired, and she didn't want him collapsing.

Roxas flitted his eyes down to Namine's hands, bringing his own hands forward. He let his fingers trail slowly along the inside of her forearms as his hands made their way down to her wrists.

 

Sora let go of the bite on his lip and gently loosened his grip around Kairi even more. He lifted his head off his shoulder when he felt her slowly pull away from him. He wondered what she was thinking at that moment, but he decided to stay silent, partially because he couldn't find his voice at that moment.

Namine felt chills at Roxas' gentle touch, her eyes following his hands as he gently moved them along her arms.

OOC: I may suddenly disapear for dinner at any time, but I'm sure I'll be back soon after I disapear (no more than 20 minutes, probably). =D

 

As Kairi slowly pulled back, she let her hands trail around to Sora's sides. She kept her hands there as she looked up at his eyes, noticing a dim in their color. She had a feeling that was from exhaustion and him probably not feeling so well, which she understood.

Roxas' fingers trailed along Namine's wrists until he reached her palms, wrapping both of his hands around hers gently.

Sora blinked softly, keeping his gaze on Kairi when her eyes met his. He had no idea what was showing in his eyes...exhaustion, coldness, anxiety, comfort...his emotions were jumbled at that moment, but he knew that exhaustion was the feeling that was the strongest.

Namine flitted her eyes from their hands to Roxas' eyes after a moment, softly smiling. He was so gentle with her, even when it was clear that he was bothered by the whole thing that had happened.

Kairi kept her eyes on his as she let one of her hands leave his side, lifting it and gently placing it against his cheek. A small smile spread on her lips as she noticed his skin was warmer than it had been a few minutes ago.

Roxas shifted his gaze from their hands to Namine's light blue eyes, a small smile appearing on his face at her expression. He loved her so much, and (with no offense toward Sora, of course) he was glad it hadn't been her who had fallen in the lake, if she had been standing on it's not-so-frozen surface.

 

Sora smiled weakly at Kairi, grateful for her gentle touch and silence. It wasn't that he was upset or anything like that; he just didn't feel like talking too much.

Namine gazed softly into Roxas' eyes, noticing a slight change in his expression at that moment. It seemed as if he was feeling a little bit better. She had no idea if she had comforted him in some way or not, but either way, she was glad to see him smiling softly again.

 

Kairi kept her smile on her face as she looked into his eyes, letting her hand leave his cheek. "You want to sleep?" she asked softly. A little rest would do him good.

Roxas felt his smile grow slightly and he tore his eyes away from her gaze, looking back down at their hands. His thumbs stroked the backs of her hands gently as he thought over a few things.

 

Sora bit down on his lip lightly, his eyes wandering to the ground. He did feel extremely exhausted, but he didn't want to sleep through the rest of Valentine's Day.

Namine lowered her head slightly and closed her eyes, a soft breath leaving her lips at the gentle touch.

 

Kairi's smile faded a little, her eyebrows furrowing a tiny bit over her violet-blue eyes. Her eyes expressed her concern for him, and curiosity.

Roxas flitted his eyes back up to Namine, a faint smile coming across his lips. He gave her hands a gentle squeeze as he leaned forward, his lips meeting her forehead.

 

When the silence continued on, Sora raised his eyes, gazing up at Kairi. He sheepishly brought a hand to the back of his head, lightly rubbing over his wet hair. "I'm not sure I want to sleep away the rest of Valentine's Day..." he said quietly, looking into Kairi's eyes.

Namine opened her eyes again at the light kiss, her light blue eyes wandering up to Roxas.

 

Kairi's curious expression faded. "Really?" she asked softly. "Why's that?"

Roxas pulled back slowly, his piercing blue eyes meeting Namine's gaze. He offered her a soft smile.

 

Sora shrugged slightly. He didn't really have a specific reason, he just knew that today was supposed to be one of the most romantic days of the year, and he didn't want to leave Kairi alone...today of all days.

Namine smiled softly at Roxas, relieved to see him behaving like his normal self again.

 

Kairi bit her lip and nodded slightly, flitting her eyes away for a moment as she thought about this. Sora looked pretty tired in her eyes, and it seemed like he needed the rest, especially after something so harmful. But she couldn't force him to change his mind, especially if this was what he really wanted. She looked back up at him, her eyes meeting his. "Are you sure?" she asked, making sure this was what he was sure he wanted to do.

Roxas gazed into her eyes, feeling a little better. Thanks to Namine. He had been tearing himself down with all of that guilt the whole way here, feeling terrible about what he had accidentally done to Sora. He realized that it could've been stopped, but it wasn't intentional. It happened for a reason, and that reason was something Roxas didn't know.

 

Sora nodded slightly, hearing a bit of worry in Kairi's question. He didn't only want to stay up for the sake of trying to save Valentine's Day, but he also bet that Roxas was beating himself up for what happened, even though he had no reason to. And if he saw Sora in bad shape, it would probably just make things worse. Since he really didn't want to make his friends anymore worried, he could possibly force himself through the rest of the day, and then crash tommorrow. "Just give a few minutes," Sora requested softly, needing to pull his act together.

Namine lifted her head slightly, letting her hands stay in Roxas' as she lightly kissed his lips. She pulled back to her previous position after a second, not tearing her gaze from his.

 

Kairi nodded in understanding. "All right," she said with a small smile. "I'll let Roxas and Namine know you're doing fine," she explained as she turned around and started for the door.

Roxas' smile grew a little at her gentle gesture as he looked into her eyes.

 

"Okay," Sora said quietly, his eyes following Kairi as she headed for the door.

Namine smiled gently at Roxas, her eyes gazing up into his piercing blues again.
