KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Kairi hung her coat up while she waited, but when Sora didn't come out a few minutes later, she began to grow a little more worried. She bit her lip and looked down the hall. Kairi then went toward his bedroom, wondering how he was doing.

 

Sora exhaled softly, bringing his knees halfway toward his chest as he shivered. He was a little warmer, but he still felt terrible.

 

The symptoms of Hypothermia entered Kairi's mind as she reached his door, and she got a bad feeling. She knocked on his door, seeing it was slightly cracked. "Sora?" She then pushed it open a little, poking her head inside. Her eyes fell on Sora, seeing him fully dressed, but still looking terribly cold.

 

Sora pulled his legs closer to his chest, wrapping his arms around them as he put his chin on his knees. He turned his head and gazed over at the redhead who stood in his doorway.

 

Kairi pushed the door open enough for her to get through and walked toward him, seeing his shivering form. She bit her lip, her worried gaze on him as she knelt down beside him.

 

Sora kept his blue eyes on Kairi, silently watching her.

 

Kairi gazed into his eyes for a moment, and suddenly thought of something. She put one hand on his, feeling how cold it was, and then put her other hand against his neck. She suddenly noticed the difference in body temperature, and her eyes widened. "Sora, I need you to stand up," she requested, her voice showing her worry.

 

Sora gazed at Kairi, slightly confused at her worried voice. She sounded a little more frantic than she had a minute ago. He let go of his legs and put his hands on the floor and started pushing himself up.

 

Kairi stood up, her eyes following Sora as he did as well. She suddenly remembered back to Health class, a very important prevention to the last symptom of Hypothermia coming to her mind.

 

Sora stood upright and looked down at Kairi, watching her with his eyes.

 

Kairi stepped closer to him and wrapped her arms around him, holding herself close to him. She could feel his cold body against her figure, and she knew that he was freezing despite the fact he was in warmer clothes.

 

Sora's eyes widened slightly when he felt Kairi wrap her arms around him. It felt nice, but at the same time, he was worried. In the back of his mind, he kept thinking that he didn't want her to get sick.

 

Kairi lifted her head so her chin was over his shoulder. "I'm using my body heat to warm you," she explained. "If the heat moves to your arms too quickly, it could force the cold blood to your heart... And your heart could fail..." She could feel the difference between her body temperature and his, which only made her want to hold him closer.

 

Sora felt his heart skip a beat at her words. No! He couldn't die! He swallowed hard, choking back tears as he stood in Kairi's arms, starting to feel warmer from her embrace but still very cold.

 

Kairi exhaled softly and held Sora a little tighter. "You'll be all right," she whispered, closing her eyes as her arms stayed around his torso. "I promise."

OOC: Gotta go for the night. I don't know how long I'll be on tomorrow due to going to dinner with my family, so... I guess I'll see you after school tomorrow! Bye!

 

Sora exhaled softly, taking in Kairi's words. He desperately wanted to believe her, and he would try his best not to feel to anxious. He bit down on his lip and let her warmth comfort him.

OOC: Okay, I may be on later than usual, so we may just end up missing each other. Dx

 

As Kairi warmed his body with her own, she started thinking back to the condition. She didn't know how long she had to warm Sora, but she knew it had to be at least a few minutes. Kairi kept her arms wrapped around him as they stood in his bedroom, waiting for the coldness of his body temperature to depart.

 

Sora shut his eyes, the heat helping him become more mentally aware again. He knew that the embrace was not only to help possibly save his life, but also to comfort him. He shivered slightly, a drop of water falling from his spiky hair and landing on his neck.

 

Kairi exhaled silently through her nose, her gaze falling on the wall behind Sora as the silence overtook both of them.

 

Sora sighed shakily, resting his cheek on Kairi's shoulder, careful to keep his wet hair off her body. He sagged slightly in her arms, feeling exhausted mentally and physically.
