KH 2.5 HD confirmed

To my understanding, most of the Asiatic languages doen't have capital and lowercase letters, so they probably just don't use lowercase in practice out of habit. Besides that, I generally only see that happen when there are bits and pieces of Romanji among Kanji and Katakana or in contexts where the primary audience's first language is Asiatic, so it's probably just a way of making it very clear that THIS TEXT IS IN ENGLISH, NOT JAPANESE/CHINESE/KOREAN/LAOTIAN/VIETNAMESE/ETC, SO DON'T MISTAKE IT FOR ANY OF THOSE. It's a hard mistake to make from our point of view, but Asiatic languages have LOTS of characters, so it would be pretty understandable to mistake lowercase Roman letters for some weird Kanji that you've never seen before.

Lowercase and uppercase is a thing that doesn't usually happen in character-based languages, and they're likely a stylistic choice or a thing that makes people realize HEY THIS IS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE. Although I do doubt that someone would mistake it for a weird kanji; while there are like a bajillion kanji, there's a standard set of about 2,500 used in every-day media, and anything that doesn't use those kanji would use kana or romaji, or at least have the furigana over it. On top of the fact that in most asian countries, English is a standard high school class.

Yeah but the original chips were really rough around the edges and have some very dull bits. It was especially bad when it was underwater

I can't wait until Kingdom Hearts 3: Final Mix comes out, so we can whine about having to import it, only for it to come out years later on Kingdom Hearts 3.5 Remix on the PS5! :D

 

I swear they did this just to screw with us by releasing another Kingdom Hearts game that isn't Kingdom Hearts III.
