keyblade war : The Keyblade War: Reborn

Phisoxa seemed oblivious for the first few minutes, her eyes scanning the place like a child in a exotic zoo of some sort. But suddenly she stopped when she heard a twig snap and her eyes moved slowly over to the a pair of a big red eyes in the shadows. The sight of it made Phisoxa scream and fall backwards.

 

It was suddenly gone as she fell back and disappeared into the shadows... then the set of eye's reappeared behind her... then next to her... then all around her... It was as if the eye's were getting a complete 360 degree shot of Phisoxa...

 

Mixt turned around a few seconds after the scream "Seriously, are you going to be this jumpy? Most of the stuff here is only somewhat likely to kill you." Looking up at Red Eyes he figured that is what spooked her. "Is that what scared you? Bob only kills a few times each day, you're probably fine." Walking over Mixt started to scratch Red Eyes under the chin "Who's a good boy?"

 

"Aw, Mixt, you ruined it!" said a voice, seemingly coming from Red Eye's. There, ontop of Red Eye's, sat Raxtion with a frown on his face. He jumped down off of the massive creature and stepped onto the nice murderous darkness. "Bob and I were going to scare her... TO DEATH!!!" said Raxtion

 

" You named it Bob? What in the hell is that? Doesn't look like a heartless I have seen before . . . " Phisoxa said pulling herself to her feet and stepping behind the other men in the group to avoid being too close to the creature." And since when were man eating creatures pets . . ."

 

Raxtion got upset by Phisoxa's comment. "HEY! Everyone knows that man's best friend is a man eater... That way you can have it eat your enemies!" Raxtion then gave a evil glare towards Phisoxa and said in a dark menacing voice "Doesn't that sound like fun?"

" I don't know what sounds so interesting about bloodshed but then again thats expected of you, Anyways I'd rather think about logical things then spend time cutting things up." Phisoxa said turning her eyes away as her hair fell into her eyes.

 

"Well, obviously you were raised badly, because I WAS using logic..." said Raxtion smiling "... Fool"

 

" I don't know how blood and death is suppose to be logical." Phisoxa said looking a little ticked that Raxtion was being a smartass.

 

"Well, it's easy. The more people you kill, the more fun you have!" said Raxtion "It also helps relieve stress! It also helps work out the body when they struggle!"

 

" I don't care how much it sounds fun, anyways I've got a question. Why are we down in the dark realm anyways? There isn't exactly any armies to fight down here. So whats the big deal about coming down here, I doubt you would enter such a harsh place for no reason . . ." Phisoxa said looking a bit skeptical.

 

"Far calmer down here than up stairs. Besides I thought you wanted piece. Why would it bother you if we don't want to fight?"

 

" Well it may be calm for you, but if it was me alone it would be a jungle. And you wanting peace, that's a surprise . . ." Phisoxa said looking still a bit skeptical." But why do I bother, you two are wacky, so I shouldn't be surprised." The men in the troop kept on walking even when the presence of such a beast nearby and the bickering of their prisoner, Mixt, and Raxtion was going on nearby it seemed they were more focused on getting to the beach since that was where they were meant to take a stop. After all near the beach, a house had been built as a stay in for soldiers and dark lords when having to stop here during the war and they seemed more interested in resting there then bothering themselves with nonsense like this. " Woman get back in line and stop bothering the general we need to get to the beach, your bickering is slowing us down." One of the men said to Phisoxa, which made Phisoxa little surprised by his comment." A Beach?"

 

"I don't care about piece one way or the other, that isn't why we're here. I just thought it was ironic that you would complain about us being somewhere that we couldn't attack your comrades. As for the beach. Yes we have beaches here too. But as I recall, you were just told not to speak to me. You sure you want to try your luck with them?" Mixt said as they continued along.

 

"Its not the fact that the conditions are unfavorable to me down here, but its mainly because I can't help but get suspicious over this sorry. And yes I would try my luck with them, if I tried my luck with you, why not?" Phisoxa said sticking her nose up in the air and walking farther ahead in the group to avoid talking to him. After thirty more minutes of travel their destination was finally reached. Even though it was the dark realm strangely Phisoxa could smell the salty ocean air roll down over them, Phisoxa fueled by curiosity rushed ahead again and over the hill in front of them so she could reach the top and view the ocean on the otherside. Off to the left along the shoreline near a cove of rocks, a rickety looking wooden three story building stood. A eerie light pouring from it's windows and on her right Phisoxa could see a strange looking tree harboring a star shaped fruit that resembled almost a jet black version of a paopu fruit. Phisoxa felt mystified by the appearance of the place, it felt almost as if she had been here before, quickly she rushed over to the shore but stopped short of reaching the water so that she could see off into the eerie horizon. " I feel as if I have been here before . . ." She said as the men in the troop only shook their heads and went on their merry way to the building and disappeared out of sight.

 

After Phisoxa went on ahead Mixt took a short moment to address the troops. "Remember, the duel is only valid if I fight him. If any of you attack Xehanort directly I will have to kill you too. Stick only to fighting any backup he has." And after that 'pep talk' Mixt led the troops the final way to the Dark Margin and into the building. He ignored Phisoxa seeing as there wasn't anything she could do right now other than get herself killed.

 

The men in the troop agreed to Mixt's terms as they wandered inside the building. The building itself look dreary with it's gray colored walls and wooden floors. Some of the windows and doors had been randomly nailed shut and a tall staircase lead upstairs. The overall layout size of the first floor looked the part of a warehouse, but furniture, bookshelves, and a poker table had been set out. Strange enough there were already people taking a stead here, some soldiers, a couple dark lords busying themselves with reading, and few abnormalities that looked like humanoid heartless creatures.
Phisoxa sat alone on the beach, her knees tucked into her chest so she could bury her face in them. " All of this is just too weird." Phisoxa thought as tiny waves crashed on the beach only a foot from her.

 

Obviously not seeing what he was looking for, Mixt made his way up to the second floor of the building. It was there that he found Xehanort. "There you are. Keeping to schedule, I see. That's good, makes this a lot easier when I don't need to track you down. Now, let me get straight to the point. I've decided my squad is, lacking. To compensate I'll be taking yours. By standard tradition I will wager my own against in a duel, survivor takes all." Mixt said, laying down the terms like a lawyer exploiting a contract.

 

Xehanort was busy reading a book but looked up when he saw Mixt come in and when Mixt relayed his terms he stroked his scraggly beard and agreed. " Alright its a deal but lets try duking it out on the beach and not in this tiny room."

 

"Fair enough, we both know this shack won't last the fight." Mixt said as he started calmly back down the stairs. But despite that he was really on guard to a strike from behind. Technically the duel was already underway and backstabs were not exactly uncommon in their line of work.
