You know, I'm a supporter of Obama, so all the kids at your school can shut the hell up and look at their new President with a KKK racist look, or with respect and admiration.

Dude, you read my thoughts :(

I hate the racist jerks that do this sort of stuff. They should know that it's not what's on the outside, but the inside; and what Obama can do to change the USA.

Yes, that wasn't called for at all. I dislike Obama already because he's basically reassembling the Clinton Cabinet, but I would never bash him for his race.

they are a bunch of racists.
i havent heard that until now.
just because the white house says 'white' in the name doesnt mean its only for white people.

ex. if your house is made of red brick, it doesnt mean that only rednecks can live there

i mean seriously, ITS JUST A HOUSE!!!

Wow, this is old. I'll leave this open but jeez... Apparently some people delight in giving me more work...

It's just a slogan, kid. It's not meant to be taken literally. What they mean is that they just didn't want a black president. I agree that it's racist though.

I can see where this is coming from and agree that's there a racial stereotype, not necessarily as strongly as said before though.
White people are seen as more educated as minorities.
I'll even admit I would have voted for Obama (I was one year underage to vote) and one of the reasons was because he was black.
My reasoning: The other presidents have all been white and I want to see how someone of color could do it.
It's a different mentality and I wondered if that would make a difference.

Obama's inauguration speech will be documented down as one of the most historical speeches in history, even before he started his term in office.

Not because he's a great president.
    Not because he's loved.
    But because he's black.

He's the first black President of America. And that's really what everyone is going to remember him for in the decades to come.

Gotta say, this is pretty ******ed. I'm no fan of Obama, but this is idiotic. I couldn't give less of a damn that Obama's black, I just don't like him.
Of course you aren't gonna hear kids shouting, "Keep the White House with a president that has a good amount of experiece and understanding of politics!"
    -_-
Kids will be kids I guess.

People have bizarre notions :/ Way before the election, one of my friends told me her parents were voting for Obama. When I asked why, she said it was because McCain was so old he'd have a heart attack mid-term. She was completely serious.

Back on the topic at hand... honestly, I'm getting pretty tired of the hullabaloo over Obama's skin color - from both directions. There are people who hate him because he's black, and there are people who say you're racist because you disagree with his policies. Both groups are biased and ignorant. I really don't like the way Obama is doing things right now, but it has nothing to so with his skin color. Rather, it has to do with the semi-idiotic way he is running the country, but I won't get into that right now for multiple reasons

Keep the White House white.. that makes me laugh when I hear it. This country is such a melting pot of so many cultures, ethnicity etc that in one sense, Obama represents us better than many presidents of the past have. He's multi-racial and so aren't many Americans today. It's also not like people of other ethnicity haven't stepped in the White House and worked there too. Simple minds for simple people. Sometime those sorts of people will just die out and they are becoming a minority as more sensible people step forward. Laughing at stupid people helps relieve stress.

the only reason Obama was up for election is that if he won,the American government could blame the collapse of the economy (if it did happen) on having a black president-but it seems it has been blown back into the governments faces due to his success

    lol

    I disagree with this.
But what I hate about Obama's presidency is that if he doesn't start getting things right, no matter how much he has on his plate, he'll lower the chances of a minority being elected again.
