"Maybe, I should at least do something with the rest of my dieing life, just you had better not die on me." Kuju yawned. "Excuse me I need my rest." Kuju went to a small part of the cave and drifted off to sleep.

 

''*sigh* I'll be in the Blizzard.....''

Zeke then walked outside.........

 

Kyla watched and overheard what Kuju said. She curled up ready to go to sleep as well. She was angry that she had been labeled as weak. Just because she didn't sign up to the macho image meant nothing. In the wild the most dangerous animal is a mother with young. She knew that Zeke could never appreciate the beauty of this fact. Kuju could though. She sensed a deep honour and pride in him. "Please stay" she muttered half asleep. Tor had left her alone and she guessed that he was still jealous and sulking. 'Mine is the role of the alpha female' she thought. 'I have to be friend to all and mother to all.' A smile crossed her lips as that would make Tor the pack leader. Taking her blanket she carefully left it for Tor.

Zeke appered laying down on the ceiling

''kol trick huh? I use the shadows to hold me up''

 

Tor lay down next to her, draping the blanket over both of them. He did not sleep, however, there was so much to think about, so much planning to do.

 

Kyla curled up next to him. She was unable to sleep properly as well, but drifted in and out of sleep. "How are you feeling now?" she whispered and stroked his hair. "I was worried about you."

 

"I am fine." he said. "I just have a lot on my mind."

 

"Such as? A problem shared is a problem halved." Kyla rested her head against him. "If we are going to spend the rest of our lives together you need to trust me. I wear my heart on my sleeve. Please tell me what's worrying you."

 

"What's troubling me is these scrolls. How are we going to find them? Where do we look? Will we even find them?"

 

''Tor , how you doin mate?..................''

 

"I believe we will. We have the original map and we are heading in the right direction. You need to have more faith. I trust you to guide us correctly."

 

Flamer had fallen asleep looknig at the fire for too long, Jessica saw this and smiled, "Finally, you always tried to go to sleep last brother." She got up and sneaked over the cave exit, "So long brother, I hope I'll never see you again." Saying that she slide down the side of the mountian the the snow at the bottom.

 

"Thank you." he said. He turned around and hugged her.

 

Kyla hugged him back. "See even Zeke is concerned about you. You have been under a cloud that wasn't necessary. Now you need to rest for tomorrow." She held him gently and sang an old lullaby so only he could hear it.

 

He smiled and said "I love you." He kissed her and started to fall asleep.

 

"I love you to." She kissed him and watched him fall asleep. This journey was not easy on him. She could see that he was bravely trying to hold everything inside. Perhaps she could help. That was her strength.

 

He slept a dreamless and uneventful sleep. Then, he started having nightmares.

 

''awwwwwwww so romantic I may write a book about this........''

 

Kyla held him tight as he seemed to be having bad dreams. "I'm here and you're safe." She glared at Zeke. "I'm surprised you can write."

 

''whats with the sudden insults? wat have I done to you?''
