He removed his katana and cleaned it off before putting it away. "As you wish." he said, bowing. He went back to his seat.

 

Jade glared at keze and flew outside. "once he leaves i'll come back in." she told them.

 

''awwwwww I wanna go out with you c'mon lets get to know each other ^^''

 

"Please, you can all stay here if you want but no fighting. The predators will come out soon and I will need to bar the entrance. Please settle down. You can all stay in here. It's warm and safe. I will sleep in my room, alone."

 

''Why alone Kyla? and wat are these predators?''

 

"There are many pack predators on the plain, mutated forms of big cats and wolves. I sleep alone because I choose to and this is my home. I prefer solitude in my sleep."

 

''Mutated wolves and cats? sounds like fun ^^''

 

"I shall sit outside your door and make sure no one hurts you." he said.

 

"That is very kind of you Tor, but I will be fine. I have lived here on my own for some time." Kyla smiled at Tor. He had tried to help and protect her. She looked up at Zeke. "If you go outside the door is barred behind you and you are on your own. I will not put the others in danger for your sport."

 

"I wish to protect my only friend." he said, bowing. "But if you wish for me not to, I won't."

 

''Is that wat I get for protecting u? sparky said he was doing the samething.......''

 

Then a peicing shreik echoed through the cave below the entrance was the form of a massive beast that resembled a hyena attacking a man in a battered old coat. He pulled out a pistol and shot a round of bullets into the beasts torso. the predator let out anoter loud howl and struck the man with its razor sharp claws leaving a bloody gash in his chest.

 

Kyla turned to the other's. "There's someone in trouble. Come on." She grabbed the crossbow and flew outside. Firing darts into the breast she watched as it slowly collapsed. "The darts do little but the poison inside works fast." She flew down to the injured man and picked him up in her arms. "Please don't die" she whispered. Kyla flew back to the cave and laid the man on the bed in the curtained off area. She closed the metal door and barred it. Taking a basin of clean water she bathed the wound and dressed it.

"He must sleep now and regain his strength."

 

''wow something did a number on the guy huh?''

 

As the man slept there was a rustling noise from inside his bad and an animal resembling a fox came out. Its fur was a deep orange-red and its eyes were very intellegent and looked like its masters. The fox also had three tails and two horn stubs protruding from its forhead. The fox now fully freed from the bag looked at kyla and its eyes seemed to say "Thank You" and then the fox curled up by its master's head.

 

"He will rest in my room. He needs the privacy and space. I will sleep in here. Kyla handed out what blankets and furs that she had. She curled up in the corner and pulled a fur over her. "Try not to kill each other in your sleep. Thank you Tor, you have been very kind to me. Will you be warm enough?" She glared at Zeke, daring him to say something.

 

''I dont sleep Shadows give me energy and these preditors have tasty shadows anyone wanna join?''

 

"I shall be fine." he said. He went near the corner she was at. He tried to stay close to her yet at the same time, give her space.

 

''*grabs Tor* hey buddy you got some loves for the lady dont u misure?''

 

"I heard that" Kyla muttered. She wanted to sleep and the incessant chatter wasn't helping. She got up and peered around the curtain to check on the newcomer. She wanted to make sure that he wa alright. Taking a beaker of water, Kyla placed it next to the bed where he could reach it. "Rest well friend, at least I hope you are a friend."
