"If they are alive we will find them. I will give you my word. There can be a proper search after."

 

Falmer smiled back at Kyla but it was hollow smile, Falmer knew that they were dead, no one could survive for two years in wasteland alone. Kyla walked away and Falmer returned to his thoughts, "Hmm, maybe I could? No, that wouldn't work. Come on, I need to think of something now!"

 

Kuju crept slowly closer to the group, keeping his ears out of the snow to listen to everything aroundhim, but he focused on the food and only that he could smelll, he licked his lips in pleasure. He was now behind Kyla and waiting to take the food.

 

Tor glanced at Kyla and noticed Kuju. "Let me guess, you want some food?"

 

"I do not need your 'help', I will take what I need." Kuju jumped out of the snow and attempted to take the food.

 

Tor ran to stop him. He went in front of the food and held his arms out.

 

Falmer looked behind him and saw Kuju, "Hmm? What does Kuju want here?"

 

"Is it a problem that I wish to live, either leave me alone or die!" Kuju attempted to attack Tor for the food, but half way through the attack he passes out on the floor slowly breathing.

 

"Living is not a problem. Stealing is." he said, walking over to him. "Are you okay?"

 

"I would....... rather die than accept help...Un-human." Kuju fainted.

 

"What are you going to do with him?" Falmer said walking towards Tor.

 

"Well too bad. I am going to help you and that's that!" he said.

 

"I suppose we should help him but restrain him as well. He is dangerous and cannot be trusted. He will stop at nothing to get what he wants and has no honour. He sees himself as above the rest of us when he is no more than a beast. Given a choice I would send him away to chance fate. I don't trust him one bit. He would kill us without a thought if he could."

 

Falmer seemed a bit downhearted, "So, there are un-humans in this world that have hate and anger burning inside them." Falmer looked ahead of him, the sun was going down, they would be heading off again and he still hadn't thought of a way to protect Kyla and Tor.

 

"Sadly yes, but they are in the minority. Most are mannered and show compassion. It is a sad point that a few have reverted to an animal state. You are different, better than them. Don't let a few extremists upset you."

 

"And you...feel that....you are superior.... to me, humans, anything.. you wish... to be......a powerfull...Tyrant....... til death I hate you all, If you save my life, .........I will kill......you all." Kuju said weakly as he attempted to push himself off the ground, but was stuck their like a giant weight held him down.

 

"Maybe you should change your attitude and accept our help. This is rough terrain and you are obviously in no state to take it on alone. Yes, we are superior in the fact that we are honest to ourselves and admit we need help and can work together. If you would drop the 'I am invincible' act and be humble enough to allow yourself to be helped and accepted you will find things a lot easier."

 

"When I die...here let my body......be given to nature.....that is all I ask." Kuju then completely went unconcious. His breathing became very shallow.

 

Kyla wrapped him in a blanket. She checked his breathing and treated him "You won't die on me. You can't escape that easily. I will show you that there is a better way and that you belong in it. It won't end this way."

 

Falmer smiled, Kyla was very kind and compassionate she could find the good in anyone. "We should get going soon, believe it or not it's actually warmer in my homeland at night than it is in the day."
