Kalian - 150PA (Post Apocalypse)

Falmer, after much thought, decided to head back to the farm to work. When he arrived he was pleased to see that the only thing left to do was water the planted seeds. He aimed his hands over the small field and created a thin sheet of ice above the seeds, the sun then almost instantly melted the ice to create water for the plants. "There's one day of work done, I think I'll rest back at the inn now."

 

Kyla walked with determination. It was getting hotter and soon they would have to seek shelter. She thought about the others. She hoped that they were fine and looking after themselves in her absence.

 

Tor saw she was getting hot. So, he used his power to blow a cool breeze at them every so often. He hoped that would help.

 

Kuju again placed his hand over the light, but this time it dispersed, leaving behind a a scroll with a ring keeping in a tube shape. Kuju picked it up and looke at the scroll. Could this be one of the scrolls I heard about." He sniffed it. "The last thing to touch this was not a human but not an un-human, quite famalier." Kuju plced the scrll in his mouth and swalloed it. "I'll keep it safe, Now to find lunch." Kuju sprinted away.

 

Kyla showed Tor the piece of scroll that Tsuki had given her. It looked very plain. "No magic here she grinned, no holy grail. Just a plain scroll written by an ordinary man. Words are a powerful weapon, they can change the course of history. My great grandfather was a peaceful man, so they will not contain anything of violence, just an idea." She hugged Tor. "Thanks for the wind.

"You're welcome." he said. He hugged her back. "Just let me know if it gets too cold."

 

"I'm fine. It's colder up high so my body has evolved to cope with it. It's you I'm worried about. Fancy flying for a while?" Kyla looked at him in challenge. She checked the map and lodestone and pointed north. "It's going to get a lot colder further north."

 

"I'll be fine." he said. "Sure, I'll fly with you." He started floating on the wind.

 

Kyla started to flap her wings to take off creating a dust cloud. She was soon in the air next to him. "I wish I could fly as gracefully as you. These wings are great but they are so awkward at times and they get in the way. I am at the mercy of the wind to a certain extent. I'm just a big sparrow really."

 

"You are no longer at the winds mercy when I am around you. You are under my mercy." He paused and said "That didn't come out right."

 

"Do I have to call you Master or Lord?" Kyla grinned. She knew that he wouldn't hurt her. "I'm only joking by the way. I'd rather call you handsome."

 

"I'd prefer Tor. But handsome is fine too." he said, smiling.

 

"You are so modest with it as well. I can see why you are going to be such a hit with the ladies. Maybe you should talk to any women we meet so they can be won over by your charm."

 

"You're the only woman for me." he said. He looked into her eyes.

 

"We'll see. There may be a female wind demon out there. Who knows?" She grinned at him and sped up.

 

He caught up with her and said "There may be someone like that, but I'd turn them down just the same. I love only you."

 

"I love only you. There seems to be nothing else for it but for us to stay together for the rest of our lives. If that's ok with you." Kyla fluttered down to the ground to rest a short while. They had been flying for quite a long time and she was starting to ache.

 

He touched down next to her. "I think that would be nice."

 

Kyla began to prepare food for them both. This was an ideal place to stop and rest. She took him his food and kissed his cheek.

 

He smiled and kissed her cheek. "May I help?" he asked.
