Falmer accepted the cold water and sat down on the ground where small ice crystals began to form, "Thanks, I'll only be here until night, then I'll leave. I'm seaerching for a village I may call my home but so far I haven't been successful."

 

"The nearest village is a human one, though they are friendly to non-humans. You are welcome to shelter here for as long as you want. The wastelands get very hot during the day. Who are your people?"

 

Kuju approached them "Are you still leaving in hope?" Kuju asked.

 

"We live in peace and with a greater knowledge. Your kind will die out soon enough as you are devolving. The prophecy will be fulfilled and peace with heal the land."

 

"Well, it's nice to meet you." he took th drink. "Thanks Kyla." he said, taking a drink. He made a face at the nasty taste.

 

"Would you like something Kuju? Kyla started to rummage around the cooking area. She prepared the meat for the evening meal and fired up the stove. "Sorry Falmer, What do you eat? I'll see what I can get for you."

 

"We are called the Ice Elves, we can survive extreme cold and can manipulate ice. We were kept safe from the humans because of our resistance, the humans could never come into our land and 'hunt' us." He paused and drank some of his water then began again, "I was a hermit living on the edge of our border when a human managed to reach my hut, he told me that I could find more non-humans down in the wastelands, so, here I am."

 

"May I sit with you?" He asked with gritted teeth.

 

"Well I think you've found us. You are very welcome, and you must have traveled a long way. I only hope that you will be comfortable in the heat."

 

Don't worry, as long as I keep hydrated then I should be fine and for what I eat, as long as it's cold or has lots of water in it then it'll be fine."

 

From being ignored he just sat near Falmer "And you are?" Kuju asked Falmer.

 

"I will get you something to eat as well. You must be starving. What would you like? Is your wound healed?"

"Then I'll show you the bathing pool as well. It's always cold as it's fed by and underground stream. It should help you."

 

I am Falmer, I have only just arrived and from your expressions I could say you don't like these kind people."

"Ahh, that will help, thank you again."

 

"I will need nothing, I ate before I arrived." Kuju loooked around the area "Strange, I fell like this place is connected to... no, never could." he whispere to himself.

"I do not like their ideas, but at the moment I care not."

 

Kyla's face showed concern. "Are you alright Kuju? I'm sorry how we treated you earlier but you were about to commit a great evil. It's alright. What connection are you talking about?"

 

He finished the drink and set it aside. He coughed and asked "What? Connected to what?" He wondered what Kuju was talking about.

 

"We shouldn't pry. Kuju's secrets are his own to keep."

She offered Kuju some water in a beaker. "You are safe here Kuju."

 

"That is the reason I don't like you people, you still believe I am Evil while you strive for so called Good, I wish not to speak of them." He Faced towards the sky. "When I meant connect, I was talking about the elemental areas on this planet that are connected to each other but it would only connect the 5 elements which are Air, Earth, Fire, Water and Void, and as far as I know Ice wouldn't count." He saw the water she offered. "Please, I did not come here to be helped. Keep your provisions."

 

"Kyla, where do you come from? I've told you where I came from it's only fair for you to tell me where you came from." Falmer finished his drink and placed the cup on the ground beside him.

 

"My parents were Avians, travelers seeking the prophecy. I was born in the south and they traveled here seeking the scrolls. They were murdered along with my grandfather by humans when I was a child. I have stayed here on my own and lived in this cave ever since. I have no idea where my people are or if they still exist."
