Kalian - 150PA (Post Apocalypse)

"I am Tor, a wind demon." he said, bowing, "Nice to meet you Valeria."

 

"Nice to meet you too Tor!" She said then she looked at Cinder. "You mean...you too have a scar...well looks like I'm not the only elf with a scar on my face." She said as she pointed at her scar.

 

Kyla gently touched the scar. "You have suffered greatly Cinder. I hate no one really though I am hated by a lot of humans. You will be safe with us. I will help you and one day you will learn to trust rather than hate again."

 

"if you would excusse me, Kyla but i have to fly at some point of the day." Jade walked outside and flapped her wings and took off. Jade smiled as she felt the wind.

 

Cinder let out a single tear and said shaking "there were right I was a monster" He extended his hand and smoke twirled up from his palm then lit into fire "I...I... there was none left alive ... the village burned... I couldn't control it... I did a terrible thing..."

 

Kyla wiped the tear from his eye. "Please don't cry. What you did was the fault of the hatred and rage that they directed at you. I trust that you will not harm us. Trust me."

She held her hands out to him and smiled softly.

 

"Cinder..." Valeria said while aproaching him. " You...you don't need to feel like that now...what's done, it's done....and besides you said you couldn't control it, so I suppose it wasn't really your falut..."

He screwed up his eyes and took of his coat and shirt revealing his heavily tatooed body that was engraved with images of swirling red flames "Each inch of tatoo represents a human life I have take it covers my entire body. That is how I know I am not the chosen leader of the profacy I am marked with evil."

 

"Someone once told me that the only souls that couldn't be saved were those that didn't want to be saved. Do you want to find peace, Cinder? I'm sure that you are not evil, just led astray by circumstances beyond your control. There is good in your heart. I can see that you will not always be the tempest, you can be the gentle breeze. You need to find it in you."

Kyla shook her head and rubbed her temples. "I feel strange, sorry."

Cinder lay his head against the wall and his fox ember crawled into his arms. He then said "I am sorry I must leave for now but I will return when I have found myself..." He then got up gathered his back and left before any one could say anything

 

"I was evil once." he said, "A long time ago."

 

Kyla sat down. "Would you like to tell me about it? I won't judge you."

 

"It's a part of my life I'm not too proud of." he said. "But if you really want to know, I will tell you."

 

"I'm sure we have all done things that we are not proud of. If I may be so bold, you seem so alone and unhappy? Do you choose to keep separate from others?"

 

"Others choose to seperate from me. I have always been alone." he said.

 

"You won't always be alone you know. You are in your darkest time now but things will get better. I have 'the gift' like the rest of my family. You will find your happiness when you learn to see yourself as you truly are. Others only reflect how you see yourself you know."

 

"You are very knowledgeable." he said. "Thank you for your kind words."

 

"Have faith my friend and you will never walk alone. You have a good heart if you choose to open it to possibilities. You must lead sometimes though. If you reach for the stars maybe you won't get one, but you might get a low hanging apple! Tell me of your past in detail."

 

As Cinder was walking through the desert he found a corpse of a merchant that had been stripped of valubles and items. On closer inspection he noticed a small arrow wound in the man's temple but there was no arrow. Cinder then put his finger to the wound and tasted the blood; he had died very recently. As a sign of respect Cinder lit the body on fire so it would not be defiled by predators. He then walked away wondering who could have killed them.

 

"I was an assassin for hire. People would pay me to kill other people, and I liked it. I had an enormous blood-lust."
