"I've been alone all my life, so I have no idea what you guys are talking about." he said. All this talk of prophecies was confusing him.

 

Jade folded her winges and sat down, "this book of yours may i take a look at the picture?" She asked cinder.

Cinder picked up the book and gave it to Jade There is only one page in that book the rest is missing it was destroyed I think the only copy now is the scrolls of Kyla's family that is why i searched for her. I will be leaving now I will return before sunset I will search out this town and look for metal scraps in the desert." Cinder rose from his seat and pick up his bag Ember jumping up onto his shoulder.

 

"Hmm...say you let me see that scroll..."

 

"thanks." Jade took the book and looked at the picture, "if this was us 150 years ago, i'll scream." she looked closer and saw a young woman who looked like her.
"she looks like me!" she said out loud.

 

Kyla ran out of the cave and took off. They had insulted everything she was raised to believe. Her parents died over those scrolls alone with countless others who searched for them. So they had a picture in a book. It meant nothing. The world still contained some books. She owned a few. Two had pictures in. She hated the whole thing. She wished that no one had ever arrived and that she was happy on her own again. She soared on the thermals flying higher and higher. She needed to be on her own.

Jade fell silence, as she flicked through the book. stopping at different pictures. kyla, tor, Zeke...she started to think about something but she pushed it away.

 

Cinder came back in carrying a plate of metal and sat down at the floor. "The accual profacy isn't in there Jade just pictures of us the real profacy is in scrolls like Kyla said," Cinder took out a furnace from his back pack and hooked it up to a fire place. As it began to heat he cut peices of metal away and began heating it. "You have to understand she has been alone a long time and is not used to so many people." Ember walked up to Kyla following her.

 

"Well well what have we here?A lover's quarrel perhaps?"James started to chucke.

 

Kyla landed on a cliff top and looked over the land. She pulled out a pendant that lay under her clothes. It was a disc with holes punched into it and gems set between the holes. She had played with it as a child and she had been given it when she had been told of her parent's death, Kyla held it up and watched the light shine through the holes. It must have some meaning. She would have asked the others but she still wasn't sure of them and now she thought they were all crazed fanatics.

 

"What's going on here!?" he said, still confused. "What is this prophecy you all keep talking about!?"

"Cute joke...but I'm not an enemy you want to make..."

 

Cinder took the metal out of the furnace and placed it in several different molds making bullets. "Will you two stop arguing we are all guests so try to be respectful" He said opening the mold and modifiying the shape slightly.

 

Kyla took off again and flew back to her home. She would politely ask them to leave. This was her home that they were invading. She was going to bar the door after them. No one was really showing any respect to the fact that they were invading her privacy. She landed outside the cave and walked in through to the sleeping area. Drawing the curtain closed she lay down on the bed. Kyla removed the pendant again and began playing with it.
