Well, here's hoping. Maybe she'll get a new keychain or something.

Maybe she should stick to healing. Kabuto, Sakura, Unohana, and Tsunade are the only characters that I know that can heal and kick ***.

Let's face it. Square did not give Kairi much to work with at all and Disney made it worse.

That's uncalled for. We don't hate Kairi, well I don't, we just hate how her character was handled.

Well, Disney has a "rule" for princesses: they need help most of the time.

Since Kairi is a "princess," she ain't gonna have a strong portrayal.

I knew teaming with Disney would have it's drawbacks.

I hope so. She needed a Princess Leia attitude.

i agree kairi is not a good keyblade master she was swinging it like some kind of retared monkey with a banana (no offense to kairi lovers out there) but hse should be a good magican, she could heal the group and she might be a member so i have heard her and riku in the beginning of the game, so she will probably use the keyblade when needed or she will get a staff or no weapon and the keyblade did fit her cuz it is crappy like her lol jk.

She could get better by KH# (if she's there.)

I'm just hoping the developers don't make her movement similar to a DoA character.

I would think her style of combat would be similar to Riku and Sora's since they would be the two most likely to instruct her after they returned back. She seemed pretty insistent that she not be left behind and so if she meant things true to word, she'd have to encourage them to teach her. Sora seems to worry about her the most whereas Riku has more of an acceptance to it so it remains to be seen but in the end, it was Riku who mostly seemed to have taught Sora too. Their styles are close though both continued onward and developed differently. Kairi could become a pretty good fighter through both of them instructing her. I don't see her physically comparing with the two though.

Also, Kairi did have innate magical ability with Light that is pretty clear. Some people said she doesn't and I'm not sure how they missed it. Those who say she could not learn magic, she does things without even fully knowing she does, such as restoring Sora from a Heartless and opening the Door to Light. She was so bland in Kh1 and KH2 so it would be nice to actually see her develop more and be something other than a 2 dimensional character. At the end of KH2 I was actually happier with her because before that, she was an annoying character with no real personality other than the bland typical 'girly girl' sort that has no nothing to her. I think she'd be a character that would work out mostly around the purpose Donald has whereas Riku does replace Goofy well for defense. I just hope whatever they do, she doesn't run all prissy like that anymore because that just cracks me up and she'd never keep up with Sora or Riku running. By the time she got there the battle would be over. =:)

As for her having a Keyblade, Riku made that Keyblade for her based on their connection. I believe it was a pseudo-keyblade and well, like the Dark Keyblade, it is gone because it was temporary. If she does wield a Keyblade it will be something else. Maybe Oathkeeper but to me that doesn't make that much sense really unless she made an oath in her life that she doesn't remember to her grandmother or something when she received it. She may not get a Keyblade at all, but it looks like if Riku gave her one temporarily, she may just be able to wield them. It does kind of take away Sora and Riku's thunder though because if she could do it all along...well it just gets confusing. If she actually gets another Keyblade I'm not sure what it would be since the others represent Light, Darkness and Twilight.

True. But her magical inate abilities stem from her being a princess. As for her style of combat, I really cannot see her fighting and doing the kind of stuff that Riku and Sora do. She has already established herself as a weakling DID(Damsal In Distress)Mary Sue and 1st Impressions are hard as hell to rid yourself of. As for the Keyblade, I think she should have not have had one in the first place. It made no real sense how she got one. I think they got lazy and just gave her a keyblade for the hell of it. Thinking it would impress people. It did not impress me. It only added to the bad image this game had provided for her character. Like you, I believe that keyblade was psuedo. Just a big sloppy mass of magical energies that can never be used again. I would want Square to give her a weapon or a combat style that was original as well as a personality other than princessy to give her. I kinda see her as a White Mage character. She better have a human personality and flaws.

I think she'd have a style her own... sorta based on Sora's and sorta based on Riku's, but noticeably different. Also, if ya think about it, she can probably wield a Keyblade because of her bondage to Sora's heart for so long... Paopu Fruit = intertwined destinies, so if Sora & Roxas can wield Keyblades, shouldn't Kairi have something along those lines? Nah, I don't think she'd be a Donald/White-Mage type, all the main Keybladers tend to balance strength, skill, and magic. And DUH! Would you guys stop moping? She's a character, aaand, did you just complain that she has no human flaws?? Then how are the rest of you complaining about her?? She's a character, this is a story, ever heard of a concept called "characterization"? Well, it's a steady process, so, if you haven't seen enough of her personal qualities to keep yourself in check, then you WILL. It took a while to notice a lot of the other characters' traits TOO, until they ran into particular situations. PLUS, the majority of the first game, she was hidden behind Sora's point of view...

If Kairi is a party member, I'd like to see a Sora-Kairi limit. The Session Limit was sweet.
