Kingdom Hearts II Kairi's keyblade prowess

I hope it improves, since I never liked the damsel in distress role that all princesses (especially Disney princesses) are given. She has a weapon, now all she has to do is get better at using it.
I think it would be great if you can play the game as Kairi. I'd like to see a playable girl character in a future KH game. Then they can save themselves instead of crying in a jail cell...

 

Although her attacks would the whole whole stereotypical flowers and rainbows type.

 

She should be playable in KH3, or at least have a Limit with Sora.

 

Maybe Riku, a keyblade Master, can make Kairi one by giving her a keyblade. It dosn't make much sense but she might be part of your party. And the keyblade was unique anyway. So stop insulting Kairi. Insult Zexion instead. Maybe, you can swap who your controlling outside of battles. Then you can practice each of their skills. I hope Square Enex is listening to this. YOU HEAR THAT, SQUARE ENIX!!?? DO SOMETHING ALREADY!

 

I sure hope so. Kingdom Hearts needs more Girl Power, and it'd be so fitting to have Kairi fight.

I can see it now-your typical big-guy villain getting his butt kicked with the girliest Keyblade ever. Sweet.

 

There should be party control switching with L2/R2 or accesible via Party menu. That way we can play as other characters, try out new magics, and other things. And Sora/Riku/Kairi or Sora/Riku/Mickey should get their own version of trinity limit.

 

I think Kairi only had a Keyblade in KH2 so she wasn't just that one girl you have to rescue.

She doesn't have any "skills", she just swung it around =/ Square could have done better.

 

I think Kairi should totally lose the "Damzel In Distress" role and fight alongside Sora. Sure her skills aren't up to par w/ Sora's or Riku's but in the latter part of the story, they should grow stronger.

 

Yes she is. Otherwise the Keyblade would have rejected her. Remember when Sora gave Jack Sparrow a Keyblade, it rejected him. But when Riku took it from him in KH1, he kept it, until Sora got all berzerko "MY FRIENDS ARE MY POWER!" on him.

Remember when Leon took it in KH1, it rejected him then, and Sora didnt even want the keyblade. Its the Keyblade's choice, not the weilder.

Which means...

Only chosen Keyblade masters can weild a Keyblade.

But, this doesnt necisarily mean she will get better with it.

Most likely, even if she is every a playable character or a party character, her style will revolve around magic, rather than martial combat.

And if she did hit something with her Keyblade, butterflies and rainbows would come out.

 

The Keyblade is not ascertained yet to be a true Keyblade or a pseudo one like the Dark Keyblade was as of yet. It may have been a temporary thing or a real one Riku somehow dredged up from somewhere. However, I would imagine in either case, if Kairi actually wants to wander around with Sora and Riku, she's going to have to stop being so girly and actually put a solid effort into being stronger physically and learn off of both of them more. I think she has the potential for it. Also, I hope they teach her to stop prancing. That is -not- running!

 

I think she will, but...
If she will be with Sora and Riku fighting against Heartless or maybe Nobodies, she will be using magic, like Donald by using her KeyBlade.

 

In KH3.. isn't it a prequel.. she wouldnt be in it would she?

My theory is that if she does go into combat, she'll have to receive training from people like Yuffie, Leon, and Yen Sid first. Otherwise she'd be more hinder than help to Sora and the others in combat.
