Kingdom Hearts II Kairi's Character

If Kairi fights with Sora,Riku will lose his place as a party member.

 

But..can't it just be the three of 'em? Sora, Riku and Kairi?

 

Yeah,but then you would not have Donald or Goofy.

 

I kind of get bored of girls with little personality in video games that are always the damsel in distress. However, at the same time, they don't have to turn all 'Alice' either. Kairi in KH2 was better to me as she was willing to stand up and finally told Sora straight out she wasn't being left behind again like he did to her after Hollow Bastion. A couple people mentioned Yuna, for fears that would happen to Kairi and I really didn't think Yuna was that great in either game really. She was better in FFX than FFX-2. FFX-2 seemed to be the game where it was designed as a sexy game rather than anything I could take serious. Girl power with a pink ship included. *shudder*. I would hope that doesn't happen to Kairi. I know girls that absolutely hate the color pink and the way they see females get portrayed too often and it would be nice to see a female that acts more like one instead of either too butch or too feminine.

She doesn't ever have to be 'super warrior Xena' chick, but it would be nice to see her with the two other characters and doing things, fighting, and learning more abilities to be a worthy part of the team rather than just as a cheerleader. Also, giving her a bit more of a personality so we see more of her likes and dislikes and attitude would be pleasant. I really think Nomura should focus on Sora still but also develop Riku and Kairi more and let them actually -be- the other two main characters instead of forcing them into the background. It's pretty sad that Roxas got more time in the one game than Riku and Kairi combined in just about any of the games.

i think that Kairi will fight along side Sora and Riku the next time we see the gang together...just because shes probably getting sick of being caputred xD

Ditto. I haven't really played FF X-2,but I don't like always having to rescue Kairi or whoever is in destress. It annoys me,and as I already listed in my first post on this board,Sora (whoever's playing) had enough going on,and Kairi getting kidnapped (again) just overdid his workload. You gotta feel bad for the guy. D:


Actually,Riku got a fair amount of time in the games. You're probably forgetting the 'Reverse/Rebirth' mode of Chain of Memories. Yes,Roxas did get more time in that one game than Kairi did in all 3 of them,which was about 2-3 hours,depending on what you did. But I'm not sure about Riku. Riku actually helped out,too. He didn't really stand on the sidelines (except for when going against Saix. And Luxord. But that's about it).

 

I like her much better in KH2 than in KH1. At the very least, her voice was less annoying. But I do agree, she really doesn't have much of a personality does she?

 

I wouldn't say hardcore fighter.Atleast she should defend herself a little.Not just let Sora and Riku do all the fighting and she just stands there as if she doesn't know what to do.

 

She started to fight at the end of KH2.I think she is gonna do it more often in KH3.:)

By the way doesn't she have a keyblade? Ya know, the flowery one? In KH2? Riku Gave her one?
And Kairi kidnapped was part of the story line! If she wasn't kidnapped maybe y'all never get final form (since then Sora has no objective to go to the world that never was... and final form is obtained after you land sora's feet on brink of despair). Ha! And he'll never meet Riku! If there is no Kairi then.. Sora would be still on Destiny Islands and the game will end before it started!

 

Correction: If Kairi wasn't the damsel, the game would be a lot more simple. And you have to go to The World That Never Was,anyway. It's practically the main base for Organization XIII.
And while she DID use a Keyblade (I'm tired of explaining this),it was only a loan from Riku so that Kairi could save her own ass. >>

She got the keyblade because Riku thought she needed it.

 

If she needed it,then why didn't he give it to her before? She was in real danger at THAT moment,and the Heartless were growing,so he needed as much help as he could get. (Though why THEY were able to smite them in 1 hit whereas it takes SORA multiple hits,I'll never know. =/ )

 

shes pretty much a Mary Sue...she annoys me because she tries to act strong, but ultimately accomplishes nothing in the end...it makes me sad...

 

Kairi has character? o.O She has no flaw in her whatsoever.

Kairi has a standard issue personality which goes with 80% of all female characters in a "boys game".

Kairai need SERIOUS personality. She's Riku and Sora's friend? I never noticed. She seemed like more of a tag-along.

 

...I think it's kind of obvious they were friends. I mean...Sora did all of that in KH1 to save her, Sora was talking about finding her nonstop in KH2. XD
