Kingdom Hearts II Kairi doesn't love Sora?!

Well, I was talking to my some of my friends today, and some how, we started talking about Kingdom Hearts. Then...It came to us....Kairi might not have feelings for Sora and Sora might not have feelings for Kairi. I mean, think about it. Kairi could have hugged Sora in KH2 because she hadn't seen him in a year or so. What if, their just really close friends. Like in KH1, when they want to protect each other? Doesn't it just mean they want to protect each other? Don't you want to protect some of your friends? And the poems....Well we all assumed that they we're addressed to each other. Like, the Thinking of you poem..A lot of people thought that that meant Kairi loved Sora. It might not....Like if you read each line and really think about it...

Thinking of you, wherever you are,

That could mean she's thinking about him...Just thinking about him...

We pray for our sorrows to end, and hope that our hearts will blend.

At the time, they had problems. With being sepreated and all. It could mean that they went to end our their sorrows.

Now I will step forward and realize this wish,

She wants to really see him again. It never said that she loved him or anything.

And who knows: Starting a new journey may not be so hard,
They finally want to go together, saving worlds, not apart. Maybe...Because they want to be together...As friends.

Or maybe it's already begun.

Their journey has already started. Technically..Kairi went to find him so they some what had the same journey.

There are many worlds, but they share the same sky. One sky, one destiny.

Well..That line kind of explains itself.

And then there's the opening poem. id you ever realize it's not really deidcated to anyone? I can't really explain that one...But it's just a thought. Personally I don't like the orignal pairings but I can't change that. Anyway, I want to know what you may think about this.

 

It it possible they are just really good friends. I geuss Kairi just like Sora a bit more then Riku just not love.

Sorry, but I don't think so. Firstly, nearly all Square games, and EVERYTHING related to Disney have some sort of sappy love thing going on between the lead male and female. Secondly, have you ever noticed that Kairi stalks Sora a little more then Riku, even though they've both known each other for the same amount of time?

And if Sora didn't have feelings for Kairi, why would he have drawn himself sharing a papou(sp?) with Kairi, even though it is described by Selphie as "Romantic"?

PLus I would let Square take my SoraxKairi fanficitions away from me with that kind of plot. xD

 

Yeah, that whole paopu drawing scene at the end of kh1 kinda makes me think they like eachother. Plus, she was all over him in kh2 after xigbar.

 

Personally I like to believe that Sora and Kairi are much more than just friends. I mean just think about how determined she was in kh2 when she was trying to remember him. It's you could tell it was killing her on the inside to have such strong feelings for a person she didn't even remember. And I bet those feelings added to her drive towards finding him.

If you read the KH: CoM manga, Jiminy asks Sora if Kairi is 'his girl'. Sora gets embarassed at the question, but eventually smiles and says yes.

 

I'm not sure if I should call this a spoiler but just in case..

I wouldn't call them a canon 'couple' yet (since they aren't officially together) but with the evidence in the game, it's probably likely they will become one in the future KH games, unless Square surprises us or only wants to keep the Sora/Kairi romance as strong hints or unintentionally made us think that there was something going on between Kairi and Sora due to bad writing (which I think is extremely unlikely).

In KH2..... I still love their hug scene!!!!! >w< ... And the way Kairi was all worried about Sora throughout... Again..If that doesn't tell you something....

I disagree. I mean,yeah Kairi has feelings for Sora in the romantic way,but I doubt he has those same ones. I mean,think about it:

In KHI,Sora was looking for both Riku and Kairi. When finding Riku,Sora was less worried,which is probably why so many people think that Sora isn't very affectionate towards Riku.But he was really just relieved and knew that his best friend was okay.

In KHII, Sora didn't really give a crap about Kairi,until he was told that she was in Twilight Town. It was mainly looking for Riku at first,then defeating the Organization.And then Kairi gets kidnapped,adding even more stress to the poor boy.I'd get pretty mad at her if I were him.

Anyway,after Sora and Kairi reunite again in KH II,Kairi immediately gives Sora a hug.Sora was hesitent.And I doubt it was out of shyness. If you remember his facial expression,he didn't seem too happy.Well,that's just me,haha. XD But when Kairi revealed that the Ansem person was Riku,Sora bent down upon his knees,held his hand,and cried his poor little eyes out.


What does this tell you?

I don't know about you,but to me it's saying that even though Sora loves Kairi and Riku both the same amount,he loves them in different ways. It also seems to me that Sora cares more for Riku's safety and safekeeping over Kairi's. In the first game, Sora willingly gave up his Heart to free Kairi's.Not shocking,seeing as how Sora is dumb enough to do just about anything. But he would have done it for Riku,as well.In fact,he probably did it just for Riku. He figured that if Kairi was awake,then the Door would open,and Ansem would loosen his hold on Riku just long enough for Riku to escape.Anyone notice how Sora didn't move Kairi away before the battle? I did. If you were unconsious and on the brink of death,and your loved one found you but then had to fight,wouldn't you have expecting him/her to move you out of harm's way?

 

i think they are just best friend.. maybe she just care more about Sora ..or she does has feelings on sora , but havent tell yet..XDD

 

Hmm...Well lemme just ask you this.If you like a guy will you just go there and say:''Hi,i love you.''-___-.You just have to show some signs first.and that's what happens in this situation. ;)

Thats easy to explain though, he could have thought Kairi was safe, at home, on the island like he left her the year before, however, he knew that Riku was out there somewhere, and could have needed his help. When he heard Kairi wasn't in fact, at the islands anymore, he became concerned and went to look for her.

 

But when he found her she said nothing... When he found Riku he cried
