Just started Pokemon Black

Black 2/White 2 have better pokemon at the begining, but I prefer Black/white backstory.
The league is way stronger than previous ones and in Black2/white2 they are even stronger. But the game itself isn't hard.

I got it too, I ran into a few hitches, but am playing much better this time. =3

 

Just beat the third gym, so I'd thought I'd post an update on my "team" status.

Also I have a Patrat hm slave which knows cut.

I'll most likely keep Pignite and Pidove. Don't know about Munna, that one's a toss up.
Right now Tympole and Drilbur are fill ins, but I'll probably keep them if I don't find replacements.
And as I said, I'll probably end up getting a Joltik later.
Thoughts?

 

I'd switch Munna for Gothitelle later, but that's just me. Other than that, your team seems in good shape for the rest of the game! I'd recommend keeping both Tympole and Drillbur, since they can be rather tanky, especially in the last part.

Tympole learns Drain Punch as a Seismitoad, so that comes in handy as well.

Excadrill learns Focus Blast via TM.

 

Yeah the only reason why I still have munna is because it knows yawn. XD
I'll keep my eyes out for Gothietelle.

 

You say it is too easy until you get to the end when you discover everything you have is severely under leveled. Black 2 was much more difficult from beginning to end.

 

So it basically holds your hand in the beginning and then it has a steep difficulty curve.

Yeah, I wish they made it OPTIONAL instead of forced. I played all the games, I FRIGGING KNOW WHAT I NEED TO DO WITHOUT A REMINDER.

*breathes* Though I know it's for the new people, but seriously... Make it optional for the people who are old hat.

The amount of stuff you have to go through in the beginning.

"This is what Pokemon are, this is how they're used, this is how you battle them, this is a Pokedex, this is how you catch a pokemon, this is how you use the Pokecenter..."

Me: Isn't it the same as the rest of the games?

 

It's mainly because you start as a new trainer, not as a character from a past game
