I had no idea. I really don't care for Harry Potter movies anymore, but I might see it if I have some spare time.

 

how can this be old news...there hasnt been anything about the date untill today

 

I saw the newest trailer a while back. It looks AWESOME! Too bad it was moved all the way till next year. Ah well, at least they made it a bit earlier.

I'm still mad they moved it to the summer because of Twilight.

No, Twilight was moved after Harry Potter was. Harry Potter was moved because of the Dark Knight. They didn't want to release two major hits so close to eachother.

 

i don't really care anymore. as heartless as that sounds, the 5th HP movie sort of put me off. I might watch it when it comes to australia though XD​

 

Same here, except I lost interest at the third one. The whole new set, new actor playing dumbledore, and the new director really threw me off. I just don't really care anymore.

 

This IS old news. I've known about this (as well as everyone else who keeps up with Potter news or follows the big HP fansites like Leaky or Mugglenet) since August 14, when WB officially announced the delay. I was a bit upset by it at first but I got over it quickly after I found out that Tales of Beedle the Bard was going to be released publicly. I'm still mad but nowhere near as much as I was originally.

Besides, the film wasn't completely done and ready for release yet. This is based on the reviews from the test screening that was held in Chicago on September 7. According to them, there were a number scenes throughout the film that did not have the special effects rendered yet. As someone who's taken 3D animation and video effects classes, I can tell you that it would have taken longer to finish all of those effects than the 9-10 weeks they would've had prior to the delay.

I saw the trailer for this film at The Twilight movie premiere 2 fridays ago. It looks pretty good. I think I'll go see it.

Used to love Harry Potter but all I remember now about it is the school's name and a few characters and terms x]

 

Yep, this has been known for a few months, since Twilight moved up a couple weekends. HP was gonna be out November 21st, but they moved it back, waaaaayyyyy back, and then Twilight snagged the spot it left.
I would've rather seen Harry Potter than Twilight, though.
