Pretty much the concept with Sora's clothing is that he has the potential for all of the one's listed below. Nomura was also probably color happy when doing the design. In art/aesthetics, black compliments all other colors (grey and white are not technically colors by the way). Also the primary colors do not clash with each other. White also does not clash with any other color. So aside from aesthetics you can also get these interpretations (which I said in another thread about forms):

I just thought the fairy's were retarted for adding all of that...I'd say it coincidence because he only got Valor from the fairy's...he got Wisdom randomly and Master from Mickey..and he's had the damn chain since kh1...

Yes, I have noticed this as well. I think the fact that there were drive forms contributed to Sora having such a colorful costume in the second game. If they were intending that his clothes could change forms into different colors, it would only make sense that they would create an outfit for him that incorperates all those colors into it, and I must say, they did a great job of it, because his outfit manages to look good normal and while in drive forms.

i get where your coming from but i mean, red, yellow and blue are the primary colors, so if red is already taken, and blue is taken as well then yellow could work...i guess. I think Sora's valor form should be green. i mean green represents goofy doesnt it? red seems to represent sora in the kingdom hearts series...

None of the characters really have a set "color". I'd say red represents Valor fine. I the fact that valor is red also fits nicely with the meaning of the word valor and the fact that that is your first form and whatnot. You could dispute that master should have been green because of the fairies, but you have to remember that the fairies only gave Sora his main outfit, Valor form, and the power to display other forms. The new forms he picks up along the way are not related to the fairies, they're related to the experiences and characters where you get them from, so the color scheme is unrelated to the fairies as well.
