I know that MS is trying to get this removed, or at least trying to hide the backlash. SpikeTV had it removed when MS asked them to.

I hope it stays up, I'm trying to spread the word myself. I think such a slap in the face deserves all the bad press it can get.

Because it holds you back. It' s like saying "build me a Ferrari ... starting from this Beetle motor".
Although you could improve a house/motor/computer just by adding stuff, without throwing anything out, building something truly greater is generally easier when you start from scratch. Not to mention they' d rather have you buy a new game than play an oldie.

Ironically, backward compatibility is the very thing that holds Windows back ever since it exists.

 

Backwards compatibility though it's not a system seller for me...

Is something I REALLY like. I don't have much space and knowing I can pop in an old game at any time in my new console saves a lot of space for me overall. I hate how everyone says it's something that shouldn't be included anymore.
