    Well I was hoping to work for one of the local engineering firms around my area. My dad's been suggesting that I look at the military. For now though, it's gonna be a long search for a job.

    I feel you, that's a pretty typical response from a recent graduate ha. A friend of mine recently enlisted in the military -- he's been in basic for the last few months so I didn't get to hear from him, but he recently called my job (we worked together) and updated us all on his life. He's in computer networking which is obviously different from engineering but it's a good source of employment for sure.

    Don't tell anyone. You'll end up becoming the "computer guy", the guy who will "take a look" at a friend's or relative's computer because it's running slow, only to find out they have a 20 toolbars installed or 30 tabs open.
