I don't know whether or not this question has already been answered, but it's been bugging me for a while.

If Namine is Kairi's nobody, and Kairi can wield a keyblade, why can't Namine? Sora's nobody, Roxas, could.

If I got anything wrong there, just tell me.

Namine... has alot of stuff about her thats wierd because she wasnt made like most nobodies were...
She was made when Kairis heart was released from Sora.

    From what's been hinted at, that's not Kairi's Keyblade. It's Riku's.
If you remember how Roxas lent Riku his Keyblade in the secret ending, it's the same thing with Kairi's.
    Riku let her wield it.
And being a Princess of Heart, her heart was strong enough anyway.

Yea, if you notice Riku hands Kairi the keyblade. So basically, this.

I think that she can weild a keyblade and the reason why Namine didn't because she didn't need to use it, she was bissy

I think it's one of those Reno's-hair-bunny questions... We'll never know the answer. He just got it, and that's it.

Though we definitely know that Soul Eater was transformed into the Way to the Dawn by Riku's atonement, I don't have a clue how he got his hands on the Destiny Place. Maybe he received the Keychain from... somebody... and manifested it on his own... somehow...

Maybe the Riku we see at the end of KHII can just dual-wield like a Drive Form?

In which case the phrase 'hell yes' is in order.

This :) But Namine has her own powers anyhow so putting a keyblade wielding power on top of that may make her too 'full' kinda, she may not be able to hold anymore power within her.....just speculating

riku was supposed to be the original keyblade wielder so thats why he wields way to dawn( for those who dont think the way to dawn is a keyblade the secret ending of kh2 proves it is)
as for kiari's keyblade i think riku used her light and manifested it as a keyblade for her

Having Xehanort's Heartless in his heart affected so he could wield another Keyblade.
The flowery design coming from his memories of Destiny Islands.

I don't get that. How is it that Xehanort's Heartless gave him the ability to dual wield? Wait, can Riku even dual wield? If he could, then I guess that could explain why he has two keyblades.

Also, does that make Kairi not an "official" keybearer? Or Sora for that matter, since Riku was supposed to be the original?

Well in the novels it says something along the lines of Riku feeling past memories returning when he summoned the weapon. Now that we know that Master Xehanort is from Destiny Islands, it makes sense that his memories of home helped shape that keyblade. As we know part of Xehanort's heartless darkness was still within him.
Yes. She doesn't have the ability to summon the weapon on her own. She has a strong heart, but not strong enough to use the keyblade just yet.
Well ultimately the Keyblade chosen so, he is a full key bearer.

That very well could be the answer and I agree kiari might not be an official key wielder but I think she has the ability now to summon the one riku gave her. It might be an artificial keyblade like the dark keyblade from kh 1. She may not be a keyblade master but at least she can fight now with somthing similar to a yeyblade. Also in debate her keys name I was thinking devine raideance or pure gardeen u know szomthing like that

Following the Xehanort's Heartless theory, we must remember that Xehanort has a strong connection to BBS, so it's quite possible he is/was a keybearer. Now Xemnas doesn't get the key, so I assume it resides in Xehanort's Heartless.

In BBS, after Aqua meets little Kairi, Kairi gives her flowers (I think it was flowers) and Aqua gains the exact same Keyblade and it's called Destiny's Place. However, that makes it really strange considering it's supposed to be Riku's Keyblade but it may just be a reference instead of something solid

Me too, but there are just too many keyblades, I don't see a reason why they would let us. TT___TT

I think that keyblade belongs to Riku, not Kairi. We've seen moments in the game where a keyblader allows a person to borrow their keyblade.
Ex. Sora using Way to the Dawn against Xemnas.
