Kingdom Hearts II Just a question that has been on my mind

When Riku asked "why did he pick you?" and when Roxas asked Sora the same thing, who is he?

 

I think that most people say they're referring to Terra, because he was the keyblade weilder before Sora.

(i might be wrong, i'm a big fan of KH but i have trouble keeping up sometimes)

 

Best guess I could come up with.[although he may be talking about the keyblade but why would he refer to it as a 'he']

 

Riku didnt ask "why'd he pick you" he asked roxas why he had a keyblade...

I think that roxas asked "why did he pick you" because he wanted to know why DiZ wanted sora to remain whole, rather than let roxas be a separate being. It works more with the plot. Substitute Riku for DiZ in the above sentence, since both were plotting against roxas.

it couldnt have been the keyblade OR Terra in terms of picking sora instead of roxas because roxas had keyblades as well...duh...XP

I kind of thought the "why did he pick you?" thing was referring to Axel picking Sora to help rather than continuing to try to separate the two. I am not so sure on it, but it is what I thought at the time along with the possibility that it might have deeper meaning from something in the past.

 

Both times I believe it means "Why did Ansem the Wise pick him to destroy the Organization?".

 

Personally I always thought that it was the Keyblade >_>
